Can you explain your computer situation.
You have a laptop and also another monitor and keyboard on your desk.
Is the monitor attached to the laptop with an hdmi cable or they not even connected?

thank you so much-that means a lot!! so i have a laptop that i bring to classes/library mostly and then i have my desktop that stays put and i use that mostly for editing. i don’t connect the two with a cable but i synced them up so that they have the same background and any files that i download on one automatically gets transferred to the other :)
