I think it should be acknowledged that Gil-Galad and Elendil actually defeated Sauron as they died. Isildur came after and used the shards to cut the ring off. He didn't defeat Sauron nor did he ever confront him. But overall, a great video!

I love Tolkein's work but the books are out of me reach at the moment so I depend on youtube channels. This video is by far one of the best to help anyone follow this masterpiece of literature. Thank you
I liked how the 2nd age was depicted on Amazon's Rings of Power. There were flaws, but overall it was highly enjoyable. I especially liked the interplay between Sauron and Galadriel. It made Tolkien's characters come alive, turned them into real people. For anyone interested in Tolkien's 2nd age, they should definitely check it out.
@@fred20097 Flaws?? It's an abomination!!!!! Absolutely nothing like what was portrayed between Galadriel and Sauron ever happened !!!!!! The Rings of Power is complete drivel! It's incredibly bad writers clearly have never read The Lord of the Rings and turned into a woke fest of utter Rubbish!!!!!!
Really? I find that surprising, i couldn't believe how disrespectful they were in subverting Tolkien's themes and vision; it felt like they just used Tolkien's names and then made new characters to tell their own half baked story. Like i was constantly shocked by how unlikable all the main characters were and how desperate the writers were to constantly reference peter Jackson's films. The visuals were good, but everything else was cultural vandalism, like they read tolkien and decided his story was not tje story they wanted to tell and erroneously thought they could do it better @fred20097
Just a friendly correction: Sauron did not first appear in Middle Earth in the Second Age, but the First Age. He was Morgoth's chief Maia officer during that time. But these videos are well made!!
