It's almost unbelievable, if you didn't know, you wouldn't know you're listening to a 10-year-old girl, who in this case chooses a very particular song, which describes a very complicated and explicit human story (and this is already out of the ordinary), but this little girl, who also has a very strong bond with Amy's songs, decides to sing it anyway and does not give up so she modifies the text, certainly not suitable for her age, in the hours before the recording and thus transforms also the context of the song ... this alone expresses Angelina's musical value, this is a recognition of her musical genius, from a very young age 💛 🧡 ❤️
The reason for the changed lyrics? The subject matter of Amy Winehouse’s lyrics were, um… rather adult (to say the least) and Angelina’s mother said in effect “I don’t think so”. She apparently was up late the evening before to write more appropriate lyrics for a ten year old (at least, that’s the story as I heard it). Another fine reaction Candace! ❤️👣

Angelina changed the lyrics because her mother said the original lyrics wasn't age appropriate for her to sing so in order for Angelina to sing and record the song she had to rewrite the lyrics within 24 hours and she completed the final touches on the way to the studio.

the day before this recording was scheduled angelina s mother told her she had to rewrite this song if she wanted to record it as she thought the lyrics were not really appropriate for her to sing . so angelina basically gave us a whole new song which just shows us this young ladies musical IQ is off the charts . for anyone much less a 10 year old as she was here .
KORK is the renowned Norwegian Radio band that AJ has sung with on several occasions. AJ rewrote the lyrics in 24 hours due to her mother's concern about the adult nature of Amy's version. AJ was still making adjustments in the car ride to the auditorium (seen in a longer version of this video) and you can see her checking her notes during the performance.
Angelina's Mother Sarah Astar was not happy with the lyrics of the song as being too adult. She insisted Angelina change them if she wanted to do the song. Angelina finished writing them in the car on the way to the recording. My understanding is that they fit so well that KORK had no need to change the arrangement and that to me is astonishing! What many reactors say in essence after hearing this rendition. Angelina is a Master Story Teller. It's rare you can't understand Angelina's Master Communication skills using her clear precise phrasing. Angelina's roots are in Jazz. She been listening and studying these icons from the past century since she was 2-3 yrs old on u-Tube. Also Angelina arranges, at least in part, if not in total, total control of all her performances. She has since she was 7-8 yrs old. She knows what she wants and gets exactly what she wants out of the artists and musicians she works with, many of them who are some of the most accomplished in the industry. ♥👣

She was NOT happy to have, in her own mind, botched it the first time with her lyrics.
