    Exactly! So overwhelming! This was super helpful though and I'm really looking forward to you showing how to apply the resin. Thank you for another great video 💜

    Yesterday I heard my daughter doing your trademark "smoooosh" as she was crafting! She's definitely been listening in as I'm binge watching your vids. 🧡

    I love that you like experimenting with many methods. It nice to see fellow craftologist at work.

    TY Yvonne for showing this technique. I just tried it and my impressions come out much deeper now. It shows every little detail even from rubber stamps. BTW I am now a subscriber.

    I have loads of acrylic cling stamps from my paper crafting. I am now a beginner with polyclay. This technique I think I can do.

    yea the rolling a ball and smushing it instead of pressing a sheet to cut pieces out of works a lot better.

    Love the impression from "smooshing" LOL but I can't seem to get it level enough for resin - any advice?

    Where did you get that stamp with all the circles? They were, like, abunch of different sizes, and they went through each other, almost like bubbles.

      It was gifted to me from an old stamp collection, and I can't find the exact stamp anywhere!!!

      Yvonne Williams I really like it. I have hundreds of stamps, but I don't think I have any like that. I will just have to keep an eye out for a similar one. Could you possibly post a picture of it?

    In one of the Patreon packages you sent me there was a plain stamped cabachon I am wondering what paint would be good to rub over it to highlight it

    Oh, wow, you could make pieces of eight pendants using that method. I love how shiny they are.
    I wonder if there is a way to take a mold that makes things turn out sort of matte and make it so that things you use it for come out shiny. I imagine you could use that acetone vapor method on plastic, but on silicone, I wonder if there is a way.

    I'm new to poly clay, what did you mean by buffing before putting on a domino resin? Do you polish each one with sand paper? Thanks Von!

      No, she meant that you smooth on the mica powder (PearlEx powder) before you bake it.

    Hi Von, I don't know how I missed this video but watching for the first time. I love all your cabochon videos. I had a chance to give it a try today, but I did miss your Livestream because I was creating instead of being on the PC. Can you please tell me the name of that swirly stamp your using in the beginning of the video? I saw the link, but it takes me to the butterfly stamp, not the swirls. Thanks again for all the fantastic ideas.

    I know you usually do wire wrapping or chainmail for your cabochons, but what do you have any other ideas about what you could do with the cabs?

    • @KellyNsGrotto
      @KellyNsGrotto 6 лет назад

      muggle394 how about viking weave?

    • @muggle394
      @muggle394 6 лет назад +1

      lady Deathbird I only just figured out how to make my own jump rings lol, so any type of weaving or wire wrapping is difficult for me

    • @KellyNsGrotto
      @KellyNsGrotto 6 лет назад

      Believe it or not, viking weave is fairly easy for a cabachon wrap ^_^

    Thanks very much, if you wanted to put a hole in it would you do it before baking?

    • @wldflwr77
      @wldflwr77 6 лет назад +2

      Yes, it's much easier to put the hole in before baking.

    • @ztrek2000
      @ztrek2000 6 лет назад +2

      It is generally better to put your holes in before baking but you can also easily drill a hole afterwards

    I tried this and loved the technique! Sadly, my oven temp spiked unexpectedly so 30 cabs got burned. But on the bright side it's an inexpensive project so once I figure out my oven issue I'll be making more :)

    I have my a hold on my polymer clay/resin for right now, there are still products to go with everthing I've already bought, when I am done buying I will have bought $400.00 on every, and barely have clay.
