Employees had to make up the time after leaving early on 9/11? That shows absolutely NO COMPASSION or understanding of the needs of people on that horrible day. Shame!
Couldn't believe that. The type of company that, if a scheduler died, would hire a ouija board to tell them if the scheduler had finished filling the shifts before dying...UGH
Guy, thank you for everything you did and continued to do after 9/11. As you persevere through your medical problems I will keep you in my thoughts. Don't think for a second that you aren't appreciated by many. Please be encouraged knowing your message and service is respected.
“They did end up letting everyone leave early, but they made them make up the time later.” 🤬 they had to make up the time they missed on THAT DAY? What the hell kind of company is this?
My New York Brother, you hit the nail on the head with the last part. Unity, disregard race and ethnicity and where your from. Be kind care! Love! We as Americans need that more now than ever. Thank you for your story! From your sister in Christ. GOD BLESS YOU!!! 🙏❤🇺🇸💙⛑🚑
Thank you so much for sharing your story of that horrible time. You, along with so many other brave, caring people are the reason others lived to tell their stories. I hope you are in good health, your message will always stay with me.
Mr. Sanders, your words are so learned. It feels like a sermon filled with light and wisdom. Thank you for taking the time and more importantly, your precious energy, to share your experience and thoughts with us. Sending you wishes for strength and a marked improvement in your health from Jerusalem…
thank you for your story just wanted to say as a wife a mother i will never forget im sorry you lost alot of your friends. i try to stay on top of all these stories.
Colonel Thank You for sharing your 9/11 experience and for your strong and inspirational message. It is wonderful to see you. Miss you at the annual 9/11 memorial anniversary gatherings. You’re always in my prayers. We are 9/11 First Responders and proud of our service.
You are truly inspiring. I hope everything goes well with your heart I know it’s been 3 years but I hope you are as healthy as ever. Your actions and everyone’s actions from that day, the first responders, firefighters, everyone, will never be forgotten. We will never forget.
What a wonderful person with such depth of understanding of what it means to be human. Hope his illness becomes controlled and best wishes for his heart surgery. His message should be heard always!!
I am amazed at your calm and demeanor that you exemplify. Your story is incredible and it’s gut-wrenching to see how it has impacted all of us. All of us hurt that day and there are remnants that continue now 20 years later. You are well spoken and I was in awe of your experience. Lord, I pray for you and not only your health but your heart as well. I am a fellow New Yorker that moved to Atlanta as a young adult. You see- early in my career, I got my first job at American Express and I enjoyed it immensely and as you know it is right there across the street from where the towers sat. After hearing these painful stories in the anniversary of 9/11, I reflect that had I been there I too would have joined responders entering the building. Here in Atlanta, I watched this for 4 days straight and wanted to be there to do something at ground zero. I am a healthcare professional and have spent the last 27 years in the field after my second job early in my career working at St.Luke’s/Roosevelt. This is painful to watch but I seem to feel we must learn these lessons after consecutive years after 2001 experiencing pandemics, racial divisions, hurricanes and weather extremes, deaths of both loved ones as well as many of our greatest musical artists. It almost seems like we are headed in the wrong direction. God bless you
There are no words of thanks that could be enough. You are a wonderful person and I wish nothing but good to come your way, you have suffered far too much in so many ways x
I'm so glad I found this series. There are so many stories of inspiration and courage. What you experienced must be similar to what a soldier goes through in a war. I couldn't help but think of Mister Rogers when he would talk to Children about going through a traumatic experience and he would say "Look for the helpers." You, Good Sir, are one of the helpers. Thank you for everything that you have done for others.
Thank you for sharing your story. Your story at the end was very powerful. I wish that the unity we all experienced during this time was still as strong today.
God bless you! Please take good care of your health. You have made a wonderful contribution to the citizens of New York Center Congratulations on your great achievements
Blessings to you Guy and to this RUclips channel for this heart felt story. We will not forget. Prayers to everyone for all of the countless struggles we are presented with. Let us all work together for the good of mankind and pray that it doesn't take anymore tragedies for us to understand what that is supposed to look like. It is being reported that 1500 people are dying per day to covid in the US yet some people will not even wear a mask to prevent themselves and others from severe illness and death. Lord have Mercy on us all if we do not heed your warnings and do what is right and good according to YOUR will, in Jesus name, Amen.
You’re a great story teller. I enjoyed listening your story. Thank you for sharing with us. I wish more people listened and put the message of unity into practice.
Thank you for sharing. I am watching these videos right now for inspiration. The waterfall description was amazing. I hope to visit the museum soon . Agreeing with all you said. Feeling down , I hope America can be
You are such a wonderful speaker and humanitarian with such wise lessons to share. Thank you so much for your very dedicated service. Hope you have the best recovery.
Very important message, something we all need to reflect on. I remember this day so well and I will never ever forget. Thank you for sharing your story, thank you for all that you did and do. I sincerely hope that your health improves and I tip my hat off to you. God bless.
Not only is this man eloquent, his words are a gut punch of truth that we all should take deathly serious. Just wow! I sobbed as his words took me back to that moment.
What a moving intelligent humane witness you are of that horrific day. How true your conclusions are. Thank you. I do sincerely hope your health stabilizes. Blessings.
Guy, I am ever grateful to our Mother-Father God for past life experiences which have given me certainty of reincarnation as well as real spiritual growth & understanding. Thank you for sharing your experiences of that fateful day. I'm sure your surgery will be a success and I & others send our love to you. You are a wonderful human being!
Thanks for sharing. Your voice is nice and clear. REALLY AMAZING HOW YOU HELPED. I'm an X NUYAWKER. OMG IM SOOO SORRY FOR YOUR PAIN AND OPERATIONS. GOD BLESS YOU. my dad was a NYC fireman in NYC 1940's TO 1960's.
You are a true saviour and hero for everything that you did that day! Words cannot describe the nightmare you went through and still do. The words you spoke was very touching and honest and I totally agree with what you said about unity. I pray that Allah eases your pain both mental and physical and that he grants you and all the lost souls on that day into Jenna 🙇👳. Your in my thoughts and prayers! Aslamuailkliem 👳
Thank you for your service and jumping into action that day. Your actions will not be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your story, I think it’s just so fascinating to hear everyone’s stories and point of views that day.
Thank you for sharing your story, Guy! You are a very wise person. I wish you would come back and update us on how you’re doing. I very much would like to hear from the company who sent their employees home early that day- and then had them make up the time. WTH WERE YOU THINKING?
This is incredibly brilliant and eloquent. I think about an individual's pettiness, and I cannot believe they have forgotten!!! I had a dream about 6 weeks before 9/11/2001 of people of all different backgrounds running around on the stairs of a black burning tower, reminiscent of the Tower of Babylon. Have we let the perpetrators of this tragedy win? Ask yourself...and have you taught your children the lessons of that day? How many of you can respond, Yes??
Wait a minute - they made the employees MAKE UP THE TIME? Leaving because we were under attack isn't a good enough reason to leave work early? Wow. IDK who you work for but I hope you quit.
I wish we could all be united again. I agree with you! Many have forgotten and I wish I could say hello to someone of different race, and they don’t look at me like I have 10 heads. You should go around and speak in this time here. Tour the country and get your message out there.❤When did everything hit him? Did he ever break down ?
Emergency preparedness requires mobile relays because cell service interruption in regional emergency where populations are trapped and or on the move.
You tube. Nazi censors have some respect for these people who gave their lives in this act of terror and improve your delivery of these stories! Quit freezing these stories!
An EMT for a PRIVATE Ambulance Service that didn't get within a block of ground zero - that qualifies as 9/11 First Responder ?? Sorry to hear about your cancer but I don't see the connection and of those 2,000cancer related death from First Responders who actually were at Ground Zero none have been diagnosed with heart valve problems.
He was a first responder. He was assigned to help others at ground zero. I don’t understand why you feel the need to diminish his experience that day. He was helping those affected by the attacks and transporting victims. Miserable troll.
@@zed4643 not only that, he helped in hurricane katrina... floodwater is toxic also... Just come though a major flood nearly a year ago, and still dealing with toxic mould which is so detrimenral to ones health.. Some have nothing nice to say yeah?....and you only needed to be within a km of ground zero and the toxic fumes affected so many... 20 years later the cost of 9/ 11 is still climbing.... So sad....
You do realize that I was a block from building 7. Do you realize that the entire World Trade Center site had its own zip code? Are you aware that the debris field went as far north of 14th Street and as far south as the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel? Are you aware that debris was found across the rivers in New Jersey and Brooklyn? Are you even from New York? Have you ever even been to the site? The Federal government did extensive research and had to have documentation of presence within the red zone to certify that our illnesses were 9/11 related. Where were you? How close were you? Were you one of a half million people who volunteered between Sept. 2001 and May 2002? If f you cannot answer any of those question affirmatively I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself because you really don't know what it was like down there and you disrespect all of those others who got sick, are sick and passed away.
The EMS responders to the event were from FDNY, hospital based ambulances, private ambulances and volunteer ambulance Corps from all over NewYork, New Jersey and other states. It was a national disaster and mutual aid meant EVERYONE was asked to respond. Those who died that day were from all four aspect of EMS..
Thank you for your heroism in NYC in September 2001, and for telling your story. I live in Baton Rouge, and that’s where I was in 2005 during Katrina. I want to thank you for your service there as well, because it was a terrible time, and our state needed heroes. 🫶🏻
I salute you Sir.
Thank you for your service
Employees had to make up the time after leaving early on 9/11? That shows absolutely NO COMPASSION or understanding of the needs of people on that horrible day. Shame!
Company owners don't care about anything in my experience except what makes money..... Many of them are owners exactly for that reason....
“they had to make up the time later” this sums up corporate america.. evil.
Right?
I blew my stack when I heard that shit. Unbelievable.
Couldn't believe that. The type of company that, if a scheduler died, would hire a ouija board to tell them if the scheduler had finished filling the shifts before dying...UGH
Guy, what an inspirational talk you gave. Your humanity is beautiful. Thank you.
Thanks for posting ❤ Never Forget
Guy, thank you for everything you did and continued to do after 9/11. As you persevere through your medical problems I will keep you in my thoughts. Don't think for a second that you aren't appreciated by many. Please be encouraged knowing your message and service is respected.
Thanks so much for keeping the history alive. Many people say stories, but they aren’t , they are history
What do you think the word "his-story" actually means?
This guy is inspiring while not trying to be, a light in a very dark time.
Thank you! That was a fabulous talk and beautiful message . Thank you so much it was very inspiring .
“They did end up letting everyone leave early, but they made them make up the time later.”
🤬 they had to make up the time they missed on THAT DAY? What the hell kind of company is this?
My question is that I want to know how Guy is doing. He is an incredible man and more than anything, I want him to be well again.
What a douchebag company to make the employees make up time on such a horrendous day.
I hope they’ve been reading these comments!
Glad i found this channel. These stories should ALWAYS be told. Never forget.
