Any band who does their “Everlong” over 2 hours in - that’s a great band. I’m not sure anyone HAS actually done that. The energy is incredible. I’m honored to be experiencing Foo Fighters this summer🤘What a great fun holiday weekend to spend with Foo Fighters. It’s not really a holiday but close enough! It DID turn into an interweb drinking game! Colorado man here - I’m glad that you enjoy Coors Light, Dave!
Up there leading a band with Hendrix on lead guitar, Kurt Cobain and John Lennon on rhythm guitar and vocals, with John Entwistle on bass and Ray Charles on keys
I feel sure that I've already commented on here a few times LOL since I keep coming back to watch it, but anyway as I watch it I can't help but think about how important these guys are to me. being a foo fighters fan has affected my life in so many ways and continues to change me, that's crazy to think a band could have that effect on someone. :) I wish peace, love and happiness to all
well for me they just represent hope in a sometimes cruel and uncaring world because they are such good people and they are still here and doing what they love after so many years it just makes me happy to see them so happy and gives me hope. I'm just a happier person now because they exist :)
Several FF songs have been released over the last 20 years that makes me think Dave wrote the lyrics for me. The Pretender is my fav and it was when I was going through divorce. Powerful stuff
Dave Grohl is great. I remember the first time that I ever saw his face. I bought Nevermind (vinyl), took the sleeve out, and there was a picture of the three guys from Nirvana, but the one who stood out was Dave, because he's the closest to the camera (actually even slightly out of focus) and smiling with that big smile of his. That's my first impression of NIrvana. Not Kurt or Krist, but Dave smiling. It's 24 years since then and he's still smiling and making great music.
What I also really really like, is that they loooooooove to play music, they go for hours and hours and me (dont judge) I mostly get distracted after 5/10 minutes and go do something else. (also music related) but they just keep on jamming ;)
It's interesting that you mentioned your first memory of Nevermind. I bought it on cassette tape, and I'll never forget the smell of the insert - it had a strangely sweet smell to it. This may sound incredibly silly, but as an eleven year old, the smell of the artwork combined with the visuals made me think, "These guys are probably on drugs."
I remember recording the audio from this when it was originally broadcast live and regretting I didn't have the ability to record the video too. So glad someone recorded it and uploaded it.
I remember I spent the whole show asking them for "New way home", which is my favourite FF song. I felt a strange, child-like happiness when they finally granted my request.
Here I am 12yrs later, just discovering this and replying to comments 8 and 9 yrs old! Lmao! I fucking love these guys! Never seen them in concert. Was supposed to last year but...you know, that Thing happened...is happening....sigh. They're the Only band I'd pay Huge to see. If I had a house, I'd mortgage it. Lol.
Extraordinary space , Exemplary content , Dave the Visionary , Taylor the Spirit Guide ! Everyone else more of your Talent Army ! The Great thing about Spirits they Travel on many Planes !!! This video is like a Fine Wine !❤️🙏🧘🏻♂️🥰💫🌟❤️
I was l,ooking for this concert for 2 years. It used to be on here when it came out, but I couldn't find it over the last couple of years, minus a song or two. This is phoenomenal. I feel like they really took into consideration the songs people wanted to hear, and it really influenced Wasting Light, giving us that punch in the face rock, not their experimental stuff. What a great concert!
This is such a good view of the level of professionalism in these guys. I am just amazed at how Taylor literally has their entire catalog immediately available, his memory is just awsum! Can we get him cloned? Cause I need a drummer like that for my current project, all I seem to find is either a lagger, or a soft beat guy. A hard slam drummer with a good memory is worth his weight in GOLD!
Got stuck in neutral coldplay xyloto ... I interviewed 3 guitarists that just didn't fit and my primary partner had a relocation issue to resolve, so I am in a holding pattern...(
can you smile again Dave ? love you guys. Rami, thank you for the pick. thank you pat for accepting the weird little doll a grandma made. thank you pat for your energy up in the years.... how do you do it. And Chris. you have brought a such profound sound to the band throughout the years. Nate you are the rock here. slap that shit like it owes you support. I look forward to hearing your next recordings. SMILE again. Taylor would be proud of you all.
Young Man Blues brought out the FF's "wild men" in them..stress-buster. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed this - but my fav is still the Wasting Light setlist they did in this studio, Prior to taping them in a live Letterman Show - flawless & amazing !
FF’s are literally the only band that sounds identical throughout a 20-year discography… sure, some songs DG intentionally slows down/speeds/delays/spins the strings (as TH calls it) for a “stadium-version” or whatnot, but all-in-all every song is done as of it was on record. It’s so awesome! They’ve mastered what a good song requires…. Like 45+ times… RIP Hawk!! 😭
It's interesting that one band (Nirvana) can put out just a few albums, and garner a very large audience, whilst this band earned their credentials in a much longer timeframe. Both have their merits.....I feel like Foo Fighters are definitely the more mature band, and also more technically accomplished, however Nirvana definitely takes the cake for raw angst.
My friend just had oysters with him. He was at his cousin's wedding and my friend was working in the kitchen and Dave came back looking for a bottle opener. My friend said he was a great guy.
I love this.....This is like being at their band practice....Let me tell you, Dave is funny as hell! My little boy loves watching them play live on youtube. He got his new drum set at 3. He knew what it was for...I named him David for a reason!!!!!!!
I remember watching this live that night on the Livestream and searching, and searching, and searching for this afterwards. Tonight, I finally found it (in full!). So, thanks! \m/
The four people who dislike this have no soul. Also, it would NOT break my heart if they do another one of these... I love having this play in another browser while I'm at work. Casual Foo Fighters at the Office = Win.
He was a great drummer - and a great singer! He died Way Too Young! What an entertaining performance right here! It’s worth it just for Taylor alone - he really embodies the spirit of Foo Fighters with his incredible energy! Taylor Hawkins freaking WILL be remembered for All Time🤘⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️💪

Wow when you guys were doing this I was patiently waiting to pickup my Marine Nov 6,7,8 2009 Parris Island South Carolina. God Bless ALL. May you all come back stronger, 58 female Ohioian fan. Foo's are my favorite of all time. Thanks guys for the alternative rock memories
I bet you know! If your like most of us, I can sing along to almost every song I've heard more than once. From tunes my Grandparents loved, to bedtime songs my mother would sing, to everything else I love. It's the tie between your right vs left brain. I spent 14 hours yesterday singing along to my playlist, no problem I bet you can sing along to all the Foo's! How does Yo Yo Ma play all six of Bach's cello Suites in a row without any sheet music? LOVE, we all love music, the one that binds us from all cultures.
I listened to this concert live, I remember being in my room holding a beer and singing their songs, it was one of the first concerts on Facebook and RUclips Live. Simply beautiful
What i love about this is you get to see what band practice is like i think sometimes they forget that there was probably thousands of people watching at the time.
Thank you Taylor for the 20 plus years of amazing drumming. He will go down in Rock and Roll History at least top 5 drummers of all time.Dave will be Dave just keep making music 30 plus years now.2 bands down but pretty sure they will do tribute to Foo.Maybe he will go solo Dave R.I.P. You fly free sweetheart! You deserve the best! It's times like these you seek the love you deserve! AGAIN!
Hard to believe this was 13 years ago. I remember watching this on my laptop the day this was going on. I was 20 years old and excited

plus Dave Grohl is so sexy and sweet it makes me happy just to see his face Lol
Dave Obsessed The Foo Fighters were the first band I ever listened to as a little kid because my dad is a huge fan. I'm 19 now and still love them. :)
Several FF songs have been released over the last 20 years that makes me think Dave wrote the lyrics for me. The Pretender is my fav and it was when I was going through divorce. Powerful stuff

Hmmm I was just now getting really into Nirvana Dave, seriously. Got hooked on the FF. SO there's that.!!!!
Marry him already ❤️👩🏾🎤😜

Taylor Hawkins singing is incredible! Thank you for your smile that brightens this planet Taylor!!!!!
I remember recording the audio from this when it was originally broadcast live and regretting I didn't have the ability to record the video too. So glad someone recorded it and uploaded it.
I think they should play some Zeppelin ! In all their professionalism!!
I remember I spent the whole show asking them for "New way home", which is my favourite FF song. I felt a strange, child-like happiness when they finally granted my request.
This performance is fabulous, grabulous, zip zoop zabulous !
Lol.
Just got mine for next May. First show and fortunately no mortgage involved.
now this an amazing playlist to play live. shame they dont play half these songs live anymore
Love you Taylor!❤❤❤❤
I think its time for another live stream jam session don't you Dave??
Agreed
Yes please. Quite a few more songs they could play now!
Why? No new songs are worth adding.
No one believes anymore so
FCK them all
Yeah, because Dave Grohl is gonna answer your ass ^_^

I love taylors enthusiasm while playing

i must say, that FF has many fans in Russia. And i'm totaly one of them.
The drummer's the best singer there!!
That he was 😢 R.I.P Taylor

Check out Taylor during that one, right? LOVE IT!! LOL! It's such a JOY to watch them.

If they actually went through with 'Let it Die' I would've cried tears of joy
May Taylor be remembered for all time.
True animal, now jamming with Hendrix
Times like these
Taylor is with some of the greats like Eddie Van Halen
I hope they mention him at every concert they do from now on 😢

This is so great!!! more bands should do this. It's like being at a jam session.
I love playing Stacked Actors with you guys
How does one remember all these lyrics. How does one write so many damn good songs. How does one Dave Grohl?!
I wish I knew my buddy ol chum pal buckaroo
Sometimes, he can't. For example, when they played DOA in 2015, he forgot some of the lyrics.
MrEthan520 that's because he was so upset at the guy fighting

You played for nobody yet you played for everyone!
Thanks!
I enjoy all the stories and banter in between the songs.
Love you all!!!!
I’ve had minimal proper direction on how to play the guitar. My goal was only to be able to jam with anybody. My practice was trying to find the correct key by playing to the radio. Then came YT.
