Nore on King of Hip-Hop Debate: Eminem Is Our Elvis
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 18 ноя 2024
- www.vladtv.com - "Eminem is Elvis. He's our Elvis and I think we should claim that."
When asked, Nore never gives a definitive answer on who he feels is the King of Hip-Hop, but he does feel "Eminem is a King in his own right," slightly agreeing with both Star and Lord Jamar.
"I've seen him change the game," Nore continued on. Watching the Detroit native go from not being able to sell tickets at an arena in Buffalo to "the whole arena" being sold out, it's easy to understand why he feels Em is one of the "dopest lyricists out there." "He ain't no slouch."
He also gave a reason as to why Eminem's fame surpasses that of folks like Jay Z. "You know how many White people was in Buffalo?" Nore asked. "He was the first White guy that was like 'I'm White," and Nore is quick to remind VladTV that there's nothing wrong with people of the same ethnicity supporting their own, since people in hip-hop listen to artists who they can most relate to all the time. The difference between Eminem and other White artists, however, is the fact that he doesn't try to be anyone he's not and is proud of where he comes from, mentioning his trailer park beginnings whenever he can.
Still, when it comes down to who he feels is the most influential artist of our time, Nore had to give it up to Jay Z at the end of the day.
Watch on as he speaks on both artists' similarities and differences above. - Развлечения
This dude basically said the same thing as Jamar but actually backed up his points, made it seem like a fair and unbiased argument. Jamar linked everything to Em being white; "he's nice for a white dude" no, he's nice PERIOD. That's like saying Tiger woods is good for a black dude, no. He's good at what he does PERIOD.
***** Yeah it was good to hear points. Makes more sense hearing it from NORE.
Agree.
***** seems like that...i agree with both
Tiger Woods isn't Black though anyway

I don't think white people claim Eminem, we grew up with him and he was just apart of our lives but at the same time we all loved 50 cent and respected 2 pac and biggie it wasn't ever a race thing
It wasn't a race thing because hip hop is black. Soon as one good white guy that's good comes along he's the best. Either he's a highly talented lyricist, maybe even the best, or he's the greatest of all time. There's no way he can be the greatest with all those trash ass songs?
@@smashndashrileythompson9138 what are you on about lmfao

@@smashndashrileythompson9138 you think because he is white they say he is the greatest? Lol news flash there has been other whites in hip hop. Way before em showed up. And they did not come close to what he has done . So color has nothing to do with his success.
I'm not even from America. It was never a race thing really to me. I grew up and raised myself to never hate anybody
To be honest I don't think there can be a "best" rapper, it's like debating who's the best singer. It all boils down to preference.

I think that line holds up til this day. Em made his presence known and it stuck.
Eminem- “White America” is basically an ode to how this all played out. It describes everything this dude just said in the vid
Eminem basically has answers to most of these question in one of his songs. lol

Eminem earned his place in hip hop white or not.
No the fuck he hasn't! What albums can you say are classic albums? You can't compare none of Eminem's albums to Nas albums or Jayz reasonable doubt.
Chris smith The MMLP and The Eminem show are both classics fuck wad. And those rappers you just named were hip hop legends yes but Eminem is light years ahead lyrically and you gotta be deaf not to agree
@@2ndBallScratchGolfer no the fuck they aren't compared to Nas, 2pac, and Scarface. Their alright. Nothing to go crazy over.
Chris smith you’re either deaf or you’re 12. Pac was a good rapper. But the complexity of his rhymes were not on the same level. His rhymes were simple. He just had a lot of passion and influence behind it. Stop over rating Nas as well. He was ok. If Eminem was black it wouldnt be a debate but hes white so thats a reason for everybody to get pissed off because they feel like a white man is stealin the black mans culture. I really don't get all the Eminem hate. I think he's a great rapper. I see people keep saying how he's corny and his lyrics are weak and stuff like that, but how so? I think he has solid lyrics with a solid flow to match.
They only say that shit cuz he's White, and today they got races clashing with one another that the hate blinds u from his actual skill and talent
Part of it is that (this is any artist) some of the songs that got radio play and some of his targets on wax were commercial people, people as a whole especially street heads dont care about "who christina augulara gave head to first"........but hey you can be a fan of sSairway to Heaven but that doesn't make someone a Led Zeppelin fan, a person can be a fan of Wu Tang as a whole or quote Triumph, but if I ask "do you think your Wu Tang sword can defeat me" and u think I'm stupid well maybe some Wu crate diggin should be in store...........

Jay was being polite when he conceded victory on that. ...
Eminem even produced the beat people don't know.
the entire concept of the song Em came to Jay with, even the chorus. The only thing Jay changed was when he spits the chorus instead of saying "talk about anything. anything? anything, anything!" as Em spits, Jay chose to switch "holla about anything. anything? anything, anything!"
the track was originally supposed to be done by Em & Royce, which is why their beef started. Also why them as Bad Meets Evil was delayed 10+ years.

Em has been able to do it time and time again. From music sales, to respect, to his level of rapping or his charisma to being able to come into a genre that was predominately black... after all the odds against him and people trash talking, he fought back and earned his place and fame, and even conquered drug addiction and the loss of many of his closest friends and family and the BS with his family period... he has earned his title, more so than anyone** else has or ever will.
I don't think anyone should take to heart anything Lord Jamar says. The dude is racist. Any time any props go to a white person, he deflects it. I disagree with him (and anyone else) about Eminem being the best but if you disagree, that's fine. It's a preference and opinion but when you try to rationalize that with race, you lost me.
+Chris Brown-DeMoreno (AGx) fucking right
much respect to you. I do think em is 1 of the greatest of all time but for his own reasons. That's why I don't think that a single person can be called the greatest MC or rapper ever. For one to be a GREAT they have to revolutionize and advance the game or the culture in a major way. not many can say that but definitely more then one artist has in there own unique way. there for they are the greats. feel me.
well said
straight up
He made a good point. But hes making it sound like Eminem doesn't deserve the GOAT recognition he gets...dude...he really does...come on now hah
Em's race helped him but nobody stays huge for 17 years and counting just because of their race. I totaly get not having Em as your favorite but dude....Rap/Hip Hop has a lot of quality problems....People not taking it seriously and dumbing it down...Em is not part of that.
right being white helped him a lot but he's also dope me personally i dont like the guy but i cant say he's wack that would be dishonest
Em is talented true but the truth of the matter came down to the BEEF between him 50 G Unit & Ja Rule Murda Inc and Benzino em is backed by the real powers that be just like Drake of course
@Thelondonbadger Elvis gets a bad rap especially when it comes to someone who can be considered racist... and he is like Elvis....I think it was Little Richard but I could be wrong who said that Elvis helped propel rock n roll music to households that didn't hear it,also Elvis never proclaimed himself king, the same press threw Elvis under the bus when the Beatles came, girls had posters saying Elvis is dead ect and the issues with Jim Morrison later ect......and u r right with alot of what u said, he had a lot of bad press ect, and besides the advert racism in hip hop, it was Marlyn Manson who got blamed for school shooting as did the Matrix Moviss..............and radio stations probably wont play kim(college radio type ish you'd have to listen to if so).....but than how many songs besides Triumph by Wu Tang got radio play?, idk man Jane a great day
I think being white brought some white fans into hip hop that might not have been otherwise, but I don’t think it’s a big majority. I’m white and I was into rap and hip hop well before Em.
He diss his race called white america track cause they wanted to ban him n shit know wtf you talking about
This is easily the best description of the "king of hip-hop debate". Dude knows what he's talking about.
You know how many white people are in a Nas concert ? You know how many in a Jay Z concert ? How many black people buy the Nas and Jay Z albums ? most of those selling albums from Nas and Jay Z comes from white people. You wanna proof ? WHEN NAS DROPPED ILLMATIC was the perfect Álbum for the perfect hip hop heads and black community. But it was too black. Too underground. Yeah it was the GREATEST AT THE TIME but the selling wasn't there.cause black community don't buy albums like white community do . BUT WHAT HAPPENED WHEN NAS DROPPED HIS SECOND ÁLBUM. " IT WAS WRITTEN ". ? an album directly and heading to a white community . More mainstream and more fit to the white instead of black people. ? THE SELLS WAS INCREDIBLE . The Album Beat illmatic sells in his first couple weeks. And then.... some black dudes were like....oh Nas changed. He made some pop ( if I ruled the world ) Songs . Etc... !!!! But Yo.....he got money and started selling albums BECAUSE of the same exactly reason . Because his music IN PART was directly to white people. Who really buy albums. So don't come with that bullshit that Eminem sells Album because he's white. It's just for the same fucking reason Nas and Jay Z sells albums . BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT UNDERGROUND AND THEIR MUSIC ARE NOT DIRECTLY TO BLACK PEOPLE ONLY. Eminem not only sells Albums in United States. I'm from Dominican republic and when THE MARSHALL MATHERS LP came out . A lot of my friends were buying the Album. it's because the dude was doing straight ART . He was doing something different than all of the others Rappers. Just check STAN .The way I am. KIM. Etc.. .those tracks are out of this planets. Damn . this people don't wanna accept that the white dude it's a top 3 EVER. They prefer to keep putting a guy with just 1 Álbum and a half like BIGGIE instead. SMFH
you are more right than ➡️ & ✔️
Could’ve of said that any betta period!!.niggas don’t give credit where credit do
dude, black people represent about 12 of the population and 90% of black people are in poverty. most black people got more pressing issues then giving money to a label company. if you went to Harlem or Detroit in the late 90s fuck ton people selling bootleg biggy and 2pac (CDs and those are holiest of all the rappers) in the middle goddam street. (you are Dominican you should know better than this no one watched Sanky Panky because it was good). white people got more purchasing power mainstream is whatever attracts white people, and white people like stuff that's part of their culture for the most part that does not include black culture. that's why bachata is the only thing you could hear in the streets of Punta Cana in the fucking early 00s. no, Dominican listen to mariachi not just because it's garbage, but also no Dominican born after the '70s grew up hearing that garbage. you can see that nation based America.
So true. I don't even have biggie in my top 10. He wasnt doing it that long to be the "best" I actually put big L ahead of Biggie. Hell, I don't even put Jay Z in my top 5.
Nas is one of my favorite rappers and illmatic is one of the best hip hop albums of all time, how you gonna say white people don't fuck with Nas? I'm white and Eminem isn't even in my top 5, maybe not even my top 10.

Here is my issue with people that talk about Eminem being a white rapper. I'm dissing N.O.R.E. he is one of my favorite rappers. I'm just using this platform to speak on my opinion. Eminem is white but look at where he came from yes he grew up in a trailer park. But he went to a school that was mostly black got his ass kicked almost every day. So he is a product of his environment. Now take Drake for example he grew up in the suburbs in Canada but no one ever brings up that shit. Em has plenty of money but he isn't all flashy. All he ever wears is a hoodie with a t-shirt a pair of pants, Nike's and a G-shock watch. A lot of other rapper's say he is a great lyricist but not a great rapper. Isn't that makes a great rapper. He is in a league of his own.
Michael Cady when u say best rapper u think the whole shabang. the lyrics, production, beats, sales, storytelling, you as an artist, how much u Impact rap/genre, what u did for rap, diss songs, freestyles, instrumentals. everything man

"We saw what happened on Renegade." Nas deserves a lot of fucking credit. Without him pointing it out in his diss against Jay-Z, Renegade would've been just another collaboration song that people would've forgotten and would've been like "they both did their thing." He has songs that focus on punchlines like (Won't back down), concept records (Stan), Diss records (the sauce), Personal songs, pop songs, "Horrorcore songs", love songs, political songs, the list goes on & on. Been a big fan of Nore since I was in school still in the 90s and he's spitting fair and balanced truth here. Agree with him totally.
Eminem in the rap game is the white man's version of what Bruce Lee was to Chinese ...made them proud and stand up
he's a cool dude
Coldest line ever to me from Nore: "i serve the medicine 2 keep on the edison"...WHOA
@Wario Andretti no, edison who invented the light bulb. When people say to keep the lights on means to pay the bills
@Wario Andretti well we both learned something then 😄
Thats how u make a point, u cant just come out and say he is a guest when he has done more than the original owners
In my opinion, Eminem has earned the respect of being one of the greats. The so called “Top five” and “Top ten” list always comes down to an individuals preference. Everyone is not going to have the same list. However, I will say that Eminem is often in the conversation and that within itself says a lot about how solidified he is in hip hop. You don’t last this long in the game out of pure luck or coincidence. He will go down as a legend without a doubt.
I think Eminem doesn’t go out much cause he hates the attention.
Next thing you know iggy azela the Queen of hip hop.
Windycitykid STFU
From a technical stand point Eminem is the best to ever do it and he has a strong case for any other stand point, white or not the boy has way better lyricism than Tupac.
even thought i never listened to his music he speaks clear and Is very entertaining
Yeah you're only hear because eminem name is in the title, eminem is the only rapper you listen too
Being the Elvis of hip hop is a compliment. Elvis was more than the white jumpsuit and untimely and ungraceful ending...He was a white guy that happened to be a gifted singer and performer, and who loved black music, respected it and honored it by fusing it with traditional country influences. Eminem brought a different element to rap, like Elvis did to rock and roll. I agree. People should embrace the Eminem/Elvis comparison.
Anyone arguing that Jay is better than Em, check the song renegade. It sounded like Eminem’s song. Not Jay’s
my top 3 white rap artists?
1. eminem
2. lil wyte
3. paul wall
omg.. check out "doubt me now" "phinally phamous" "the one and only" *his first three albums with 36mafia). he still makes music. but not like those first 3
:) doubt me now, his first album is fucking insane.must check out
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!
Remember the white rapper show? Best reality tv show ever.
im a music fiend dude & ive never heard of them b4...but its your opinion what evs.
Skin colour is the only thing clouding people from denying that eminem is the Goat! They will never admit it
This guy is completely 100% spot on😂
what he should have said was "before eminem came along, hip hop was dying, and he single handedly revived it"
Bullshit.
L
When DMX dropped IT'S Dark And Hell Is Hot hip hop was dying ? Really ? I couldn't make that fantasy/fairytale up if I tried . Lol
Hip Hop was dying? you for real? He didn't save hip hop. He ain't no Messiah. He is one of the greatest rappers of all time but don't give me that bullshit man
if anything he helped kill it unintentionally. Hip hop died once it went too mainstream and the industry pimped it out, Em helped it become white friendly and more mainstream. Em was true hip hop but he was a part of the last breed.
Respect to NORE. He's a heavyweight in his own right that doesn't have to short change Em. Talent recognizes talent.
Eminem is on MJ level in fame MJ could not go out the house same times he did and fans are every were for both of them
Yes , and there is still nobody coming close to Elvis type of fame , and there Will never be someone. Some people might get angry because Elvis is the biggest but that is the truth
Jay-Z is an overrated sellout.
Nas is the GOAT IMO.
you forgot to say billionaire!!!
dale85300 no he didn’t miss that “overrated” he is not worth that amount. Hence why is is overrated
"I'd rather be overrated; than underpaid!"
🔥🔥🔥
Yea Jay-Z music sucks
my Respect
Eminem is rap God
I've always f'ed with Nore, from making music to making podcasts.....one of the coolest dudes in hip-hop
Fact
I hear you. Eminem is definitely in my top 20. Actually, number eleven on my hip hop list.

@@leejohnston3633 I know, I think everyone knows. Temptations didn't write their music either but they are my favorite r&b singers
@@leejohnston3633 if someone asked who is the best writer? I would say
Biggie
Ice cube
Pac
Jada
Nas
Slim shaky
In no order other than biggie smalls is the illest.
@@donaldforeman4010 yea but singing is different. Most singers dont write and it's more about there voice
Rap is about the lyrics and if you dont write your basically wack. How you going to call yourself an emcee and dont write
Good point bruh! Eminem King!
2pac, Eminem, Nas, Biggie and Jay z - all time favs
Eminem is lyrically better than Jay Z. But Jay Z has been more consistent throughout his career. It’s a tough debate!
Jay makes much better music. Em is trying to blow you away with masterful lyricism, Jay trying to blow you away with great music. Great music always wins.
Omg I officially love Nore! He dope
eminem i s best there is number 1
'
teejay there is a mumble rapper is better than Eminem
I agree with 95% of what Nori says in every interview, he's a smart ass guy
At Least he's honest, and he's being nice about it too.
It’s like all the og’s say. Eminem is probably the dopest rapper but nobody bumps his shit in the hood n thats facts.
The people who are ranked in the same level as Eminem is Biggie, Nas, and Pac. But Nas is always gonna be the king of hip hop and is the goat
2018 Student Isaiah Lucky Eminem is better than nas
Rex Stevenson Please, tell me how?
2018 Student Isaiah Lucky he's way better lyricist and wordplay plus sold more records
Rex Stevenson Yeah u got a point in terms of sales, but sometimes sales don't matter. Nas rapped about what's around him. He even has a program named after him at Harvard University. Look it up.
2018 Student Isaiah Lucky so did Eminem
if em aint top 5 in you're list you trippin
He’s not though
He not even in my top 10
ALLAH JAHMEL who cares for your top 5 you ain't any special person here
Saurav Parmar triggered
ALLAH JAHMEL could be if you name ten better rappers than him
jimi Hendrix was better than elvis
Nore is basically saying em is a lyrical genius regardless but his race helped him with the huge record sales i agree!!! Em is definitely among the great lyrically!!!
Eminem IS a guest in Hip Hop. Nevertheless, he is a very important and valuable guest
-Micahisgod
Fuck what you think. Em the GOAT
You don't know rap
Oh shyt lmao
ceaser williams marak is the wackest troll ever
Be careful other know it alls will chime in throwing 20 unknown or old school rappers in to try and prove your wrong
***** you trippin. Neither one of those guys can out rap Em
Dude it's not because he's white, it because he's talented. When it comes to music theris no colour or race, it's all about what you put out, topak was talented.
Check out Bhad Bhabie on Dr Phil..
It is because hes white! Face it!!
@@twyz0ne no tf how come other white rappers don't sell like him dumbass 😒
@@osasjoy1468 Because there are not many white rappers to begin with dumb azz! Even Eminem said if he were black he would have sold half dumb azz! He's been hinting that for years, but a slightly retarded fan base can't even accept that from him! If you think Eminem hasn't sold his soul to get where he is and color doesn't matter than be you mf. As if you don't know what world you are living in. Elvis did the same exact shyt with Rock n Roll. He was white! Can't make a bunch of programmed mfs see the light. Every time I hear something from Eminem its hyped to the fuckin max. Every little mediocre rap that comes out of his mouth. It's been mediocre bullshyt for years now. Revival was garbage! Still you Stan or whatever mfs hyped it. You can go on with the masses thinking he's some rap God all you want, but I know in my fuckin heart what he is and why he is. Trump freestyle garbage! Nobody could get away with that shyt, but a white guy backed by a white ran industry and house niggas.
this is the problem with the world this guy trying to put down one of the best rappers ever .. cuz of his skin color .. thats why people dont get along .. they hate and hate and hate ,,, show some respect and honor .. and he didnt live the life .. soo what . he sold more then u did u your whole life be maybe his 2 album .. damn smh
Why do i have to be brown or white or a black dude to create a music, hip hop is a music, aint it ?
This is the reason why tethers don't really belong in the community. They talked this white man is God talk. M&m ain't s***
Em is the Larry Bird Of Hip Hop, he's definitely on the dream team. But the GoAT is Resting in Peace & has changed the Rap game upside down in the mid 90's!!
Em is nice but he's not even the illest out of Detroit. Royce and Elzhi are just as lyrical, if not more so. Even Em said if he was black he'd only sell half btw, which is accurate because he's the white version of Royce Da 5'9" who only started REALLY trying in like the last few years. He's definitely one of the greatest of all time but not THE greatest at all. Elzhi...Elmatic, not even his best bars nuff said.
Love royce but you gotta reconize hes signed to shady records, is the lead of slaughterhouse, eminem has been helping royce out for a long time pushing him in the fore front as much as he can, bad meets level was a dope collab, royce is the only rapper he did a collab album with. So em respects royce they are friends. I would even say em has pushed royce to be better over time, book of ryan was great
Look. Eminem is the best wordsmith out right now, and for the past 20yrs. Give him his just dues.
He gave his opinion very respectfully, so fair play ✌✌
It's not about the color it's the content People relates to Em his stories hit home
What people?🌝😂😂white people yes
