BUT Marcelino is among THE BEST, if not THE BEST who does this type of singing we call "DOBLE-KARA" where a male singer sings both male and female parts of a duet song. We even have singing contests for people like him who has this skill and ability in singing in dual voices.
Now I know why he won the Pilipinas got talent. at first I dnt like him cuz for me doble kara is very common!! now my hats off for you Pomoy!! big respect to all doble kara performer :-)

When he was only months old, his father was jailed while his mother left them along with his younger sibling and went to Manila. He lived with his father in prison and was later adopted by a police officer. He only finished grade 3. Later he found out that he was adopted and ran away. He did odd jobs when he was a teenager (balut vendor, caretaker in a poultry) While doing poultry work, he started singing both male and female voices to while away loneliness (poultry houses are far from the city). He honed the skill then later entered contests in "Doble-Kara" (double-faced). He later found his father (who coincidentally is a frequent buyer when he was selling "balut"). With the aim to look for his mother and other siblings in Manila, he tried his luck in competing in "Talentadong Pinoy", but didn't make it. He later joined the second season of Pilipinas Got Talent and became the champion. I am a fan of marcelito eversince and I AM REALLY HAPPY, foreigners appreciated his talent. THANK YOU for the support. He had such huge talent but was NOT (I think) given the deserved break… His contract in the tv station (where he won) had expired and only had gigs when called for (I think). I HOPE THAT THROUGH YOU, his talent will be known INTERNATIONALLY because he really deserved it. Yes, many Filipinos (mostly gays) had done this kind of singing BUT, NOBODY did a perfect job in BOTH male and female voices. (not mentioning that he is a straight guy). His voice is unique because of a rare condition in his chords that allows them to tight up or loose up on demand beyond the average rate we witness from other singers so far ! In other words in his head he makes calculations and his throat performs like synthesizer ! I was amazed as you were just now when I heard him !!!!
Apparently used to be a "balut" vendor...and went to school up to grade 3 only.. At that grade level in the Philippines school practically no English introduction yet...and he's singing Italian and English languages here. He's AMAZING! Apparently used to be a "balut" vendor...and went to school up to grade 3 only..
