    For people struggling, this strap has changed for sure. We had to dig the strap out of the seat and there was no d-ring. This is definitely a manufacturing issue or change in the product. We fished the folding strap out of the seat and it revealed a buckle that wasn’t a d-ring and would have made it impossible to remove the toddler seat, had we not fished it out through the seat and down into the bottom of the stroller.
    Since we’ll likely only take the toddler seat out this once, we’re not contacting Graco or returning it. We’ll put it back in once we need to use it and leave it in.
    It should be noted to save folks the hassle, apparently you CAN attach the car seat when the toddler seat is still in. We didn’t know this and thought you had to remove the toddler seat to attach the infant car seat. 😅
    Good luck!!

      What do you mean fished it to the bottom of the strollor, that doesn't make sence.

      if yours has a d-ring then my comment won’t make sense haha our stroller’s folding strap has a buckle which was near impossible to access, as it was buried within the seat. We had to fish it out. All I can do is tell my experience. Apologies if it doesn’t makes sense to you :( I hope you can figure it out! You can attach the infant click connect west without removing the toddler seat tho! We just didn’t know that at the time.

      @@Sarah-xh3jk thank you for the reply. I had to fish the clip out as well, and ended up cutting the stitching so I could fit it through the clip. Very weird idea they had with this part of it :s

    Removing the toddler seat pad has got to be one of the most frustrating things I've ever had to do in my life. To achieve this near impossible task I had to locate the plastic slider buckle from the top of the seat (where the toddler would sit) and feed through to the bottom side where the strap is sticking out and attached to the stroller frame. Please note it will only fit through the small whole on it's narrow side. It's rectangular, so whatever side feels narrower, feed it that way. You'll need one hand on top and the other underneath. Once you feed the buckle completely through, just feed the shorter portion of strapping through the buckle (since it's got one layer of strapping less). Once untethered you have to feed the plastic buckle back up through the seat and out the other hole.

    Why does the video go red for the fold strap?!?!? I can’t figure out how to get the damn thing off

    This is a 14 billion dollar company and they are messing around with their customers by blanking the video at a crucial part as if they knew their product was going to change? just make a new video and explain what to do. and don't use only a camera and tripod. hire a camerman? Get some value in your production on your main youtube channel that thousands of people need to use because some of us are new parents. Graco is making a fool out of their own customers. Its disgusting. I had high hopes for this company. where is their customer service? This type of thing should be illegal considering we are trusting this company with the comfort and safety of infants, babies and children.

    What a disgrace from Graco to not only know that there is a huge design flaw with the strap design but also just take it out of the video with absolutely zero solution. Give your heads a shake for whoever made this design decision. For anybody wondering, undo the Velcro at the back, pull both straps through as far as you can, get a flat head screwdriver and start shoving straps through the buckles. What a joke.

  • @Curt15x
    @Curt15x Год назад +1

    For those of you struggling with this stupid buckle, like others have suggested there is another buckle inside the seat pad you need to access to undo it, however an easier way rather than trying to fish the buckle through the bottom of the seat, open the Velcro of the seat pad and access the buckle that way

  • @SquirtleSteve

    The fact that just removing the toddler seat required 1.5 hours, longnose pliers AND a referral to this pointless video highlights a major design flaw with the support straps.
    In the end, we pulled the end of the straps out of the levers on the frame which disconnected the rest of the seat.
    Jimmied another strap between the two levers to asisst in folding it up until reinstalling the toddler seat.
    Good luck to all, and to all fuck this design.

    They need an updated video for the updated model cause it is clearly not made like this any more and almost impossible to get off. I only wanted it off for aesthetic reasons anyway but oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • @monijim1333
    @monijim1333 2 года назад +1

    You do not have to remove it fully. You can just leave the pad hanged and you just need to fold it in the basket. You do need to detatch it fully; fold it in the basket and attach the car seat. It seems that they have a design problem.

    This video was useless, I cannot figure out how to get the strap through the seat. The step that was shown pulling the red strap through seat isn’t how it is on my stroller. Is this a manufacturing issue? Getting so frustrated

    2021 version: there is another bucket, that under neat the seat, you have to pull it out, it hidden, cannot be seen. Then pull out the shorter side,it does look like it unremovable, but it does, trust me . That is the moment you will realize it finally done. Took me 30 to figure out

    For those having trouble with the fold strap when removing the toddler seat, it seems like the buckle that is referenced in the instruction manual is inside the strap hole. Once I was able to get that buckle out it wasn't too difficult to get the rest of the strap out. The buckle was a pain in the ass though lol

    will admit the design is bad but there is a way to get the seat out and off i had to shove my fingers in the seat pad but there was a little buckle hidden in the seat pad and you need to pull/push it through and remove the straps and it WILL come off, happy i did it now instead of bothering with this 9months pregnant or tired from a newborn 😅
