- This years Bike Shed Show exhibited the first shed built trike, a creation which spanned 7 years by model maker Tim.
Begun after seeing the Morgan three wheeler and inspired by pre-war race cars, Tim wanted a bigger scale project and to try his hand at aluminium bodywork.
Based on a BMW R100, this is definitely one of the more unique airhead custom jobs we've seen in a while! - Авто/Мото
Being a blacksmith and machinist myself, I know how many, many hours of work that probably went into this piece of art.
It truly deserves to be called a piece of art cause that is exactly what you've made there. :)
Authentically retro but somehow has a Star Wars pod racer feel, can't stop gorping, amazing work mate!
Gavin Zissou The main bad guy in the Star Wars pod race had a big pod and he had a similar grill so that’s what is coming up in your mind
“Hope you like it?” It’s stunning and a great example of someone with great imagination and lashings of skill. Great effort
Usually not a fan of trikes but love what he did. Very league of extraordinary gentlemen/captain Nemo age vibes.
Couldn't have put it better myself !
Looks like the speeder from the Star Wars movie that the girl rode.
Love the bike, hate the riding position .. great aluminiumwork !
I remember a poster of a turtle humping a foot ball !? Weird visual
I kind of agree. When I finally build my own Imma give myself a more upright position.
Looks like there is room to drop the seat and have your torso lay across the body work for what might be a nice riding position ? Or at least better than that !
@@stevencochran4284 I would do that too, make it more aerodynamic and put a windscreen at the right angle, in a way it looks like the Sabre jet from the old days. I think he wanted the seating position to be just like a quads. Still, his metal craftmanship is great.
Definitely hate the position . Classic upright position with some sweptback bars would have done wonders
One of the more cooler builds I've seen in a long time
"more cooler".................idiot you
This guy is a proper bike builder. Thats' beautiful
Joy on three wheels, a thing of beauty. Bravo Tim. BRAVO!
Looks super cool...the riding position seems...awkward...maybe.
Still super cool. Love all the hand beaten bodywork
Right, I thought so, too. The pegs could go lower since the bike doesn't lean, then the knees wouldn't be bent that much.
would look a lot better on an old timey oval race track, with a full suite of retro gear.
@@PrimoStracciatella overall the seating should have been lower...better center of gravity.
One of the best of the show! Well done Tim
So stunning, so authentic - absolutely nailed the look. Love the Austin Seven wheels.
This is by far one of the coolest things i've seen this year. Bravo! The body work is genius!
You’ll definitely rock the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2020!!! Pure class mate!
What a unique and superb project! Much praise to Tim for having the vision and commitment to bring off this one of a kind vehicle. This machine should go into production as a new class of motorcycle. It rocks!
Tim great job on your trike. Seven years (slow and passion = excellence)
Anybody that spends this amount of time hand forming his dream gets my thumbs up. Nice to see folk getting away from two wheels in the back, as its so unstable in turns vs two wheels up front. I have a hand cycle that has the front drive wheel configuration and have rolled it a few times, while in turns at speed. Not that the single rear drive can't be rolled, as well, it is just far more stable under most conditions. I've got an electric assist version of the single rear drive trike I'm working on. Keep em' spinning.
i have had this design in my mind for years! this is the coolest bike i have ever seen!
That's a lovely machine. You've done a beautiful job with it, Mr. Tim.
That is simply stunning! The idea, the design, the craftsmanship - Im blow away! Well done!!!
BMW should be on your door step offering you a job . Creative design well thought out Good work congratulations, you can ride that with true pride.
Talk about craftmanship, this is one of the coolest self built things ive ever seen, great job! love it.
Wow, that is some very nice tin banging! Innovation is not dead! Great job and thanks for letting us in on it!
Awesome, definitely the best thing to do with a quad. Looks like something BMW would have built themselves in the 50s which I think is the best complement!
What an incredible build this is! Looks like a piece of 20's Art Deco automotive prototype designing.
Good Old Fashion !)
The work and imagination is astounding. I love stuff thats totally different from the usual.
The boxer engines are the best in the world. They last forever! Gorgeous trike.
Nice work. Aluminum is a unique metal to work with.
By that I mean it has a learning curve that is an absolutely flustrating pain in the arse.
I had to learn to love it. Currently the only machine and welding shop in the area that can turn out proper quality aluminium repairs and custom fabrications.
Steel and even to some extent Stainless Steel there's a bit more competition. But branching out into less common alloys has been intresting and "paid the bills"
Brilliantly done I'd say ....and all the more impressive from the limitations of a home shop no less !
The talent on this channel is un believeable
And didn’t even start the video and I’m already in love! Super cool and great styling.
THIS IS THE BEST REVERSE TRACK I EVER SEEN
REALLY IMPRESSED! INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! Deep bow of respect!
Beautiful work! Just needs some 50s BMW motorcycle switchgear to complement the rest which is outstanding.
Waste of a good BMW . He blew 7 years and end up with something Worse Than he Started with.
That is a GORGEOUS work of art! Good on ya, mate!
That riding position looks good for about 10 minutes at a time!
Uh, probably more like 2min. everything leans forward unnecessarily far.
Until you are moving, I rode my BMW with a similar riding position and the wind cushions you and the legs are fine.
FN beautiful! Love the whole concept, very well done.
Great project. I really like the results. It looks like it would be a lot of fun to ride. Thanks for sharing, Paul from Texas
Love it, looks great, would love to ride it, really nice in a old world style, thanks for building it, exceptional craftsmanship.
That's absolutely SICK! I love it so beautiful great job!
Unbelievable! Fantastic work. Beautiful and retro - I love it !!!! I would like to drive this.
You are an artist !!!!!!
Amazing job.
That is just the sweetest job. Congratulations man that is absolutely amazing.
Awesome build dude.
She looks amazing.
I don't know ANYTHING about bikes, but I do know that's a beautiful machine! Excellent work!
That's a proper bit o' kit, mate! Excellent!
Lovely work and a great description of it. It’s a skill in itself talking to a camera and explaining anything, I know my attempts are awful, so hat off on both accounts.
Ride carefully and with enjoyment.
The one-eyed front end is fantastic. Very nice design work. Love the slant, everything about it. And that little fairing around the top of the shock. Such a wealth of great detail, beautifully executed. Bravo.
Absolutely brilliant mate well done, love it!
Looks like something from Star Wars. Brilliant work!!!!
Very unique. I love it.
FANTASTIC!!! Great trike, great skills...
Awesome dude , this is one of the simplest and thus the best reverse trikes ive seen
This is truly amazing. Beautiful design with complete attention to detail. I'm absolutely blown away by this.
You've got to admire Brits for their ingenuity. I salute you!!!
Great job on the build, I think it looks great!!
Sweet ride!! Great job!
Thats awesome! Great job Tim.
WOW! My dream comes true!!! Even better!!! Amazing build! 😍😍😍😍😍
It does look very cool in the driveway. I will give you a thumbs up when I see you cornering at a moderate 50-60 km/hr.
Great piece of work!
Amazing aluminium work, such good details on this, well done!
Outstanding piece !!!!!
Looks amazing really quite perfect !!
Absolutely stunning build!
One of the most beautiful piece of machinery I've ever seen
Sick bike. I had a design idea a few years that looks exactly like this but then for children. Hotrod bike mix. But building this is a different level! Aweome.
Great Job ...... Looks like fun to ride too!
This is brilliant! I absolutely love the aesthetics! The craftsmanship is amazing!
Fantastic job!!!
Just awesome! Normal trikes are just a mistake but reverse trikes just...work. In mechanical simplicity they are more efficient than 4 wheels.
Absolutely gorgeous. Nice work!
This trike is a work of art, beautiful art deco love it, the detail is incredible.
Awsum bike/trike build!
Spectacular work, mate!
That’s incredible, well done !
10/10 man. I learned to ride on the 73 r75/5 my dad passed down to me. Incredible work done here so out of the box from everything else these days
Man who has a lot of time to play. Fortunately he cracked it.
Makes it worth it to explore
Well done
Wow I've dreamed of making exactly this! Great work. For me it will only ever be a dream. Great to actually see what you have created. Fantastic 👍
Absolutely a work of art Bravo!
This man is a design wizard
Can't say anything but respect. Like the fact that you didn't make it look like a futuristic vehicle. Even though you could. Bodywork is amazing. Imho, only handlebars do not match. Easy upgrade though
Beautiful job!
Art Deco is not a movement but a person, and he would love you for this! From one metal-botherer and fellow creator of beautiful things to another, BRAVO, I love your 'Silver-Arrow lite'. Best wishes from me (and all the mice in the workshop) 🔨🐀🐀🐀
That is astonishingly good, that man is a genius
That's a beautiful piece of machinery.
This is one gorgeous trike. You, my friend, are one master builder with an amazing imagination and great eye for detail. the sheet work came out perfect and the wheels just tie it up to make one of the nicer bikes I've had the privilege of ever seeing. great job friend!
Love the workmanship & authetic
Dope build mate!!
Really nice work. Must feel good to be able to show it to the wider public.
Dude what a beautiful build looks very high end, impressive
Omg man, what a beautiful creation!
Congratulations Tim. Good work. Cheers from Barcelona
Lovely workmanship, I rode my modded BeeMa with a similar riding position and it was fine and dandy.
Looks awesome. I really like the style. I love enclosed motorbikes.
Divine work!
Beautiful body work and design

Awesome! Well done Tim!
Brilliant job, mate!
Congrats pal, absolutely stunning and great build!
