    I'm a private chef and I am trying to reach a more luxury personnel. This was really helpful!
    In the past, I've just said "Okay, I understand. Have a wonderful dinner!" when people say I'm too expensive. I like the way you take this as a negotiating opportunity.

    Please do a video on being the most expensive bid. I'm a roofing contractor and I'm constantly hearing we are the most expensive. It's difficult bc the customer compares estimates and sees that we are all using the same products, but I'm having trouble getting them to see the value in the intangibles, such as the workmanship/skill labor of our crews compared to others.

    Thank you so much for posting this. I own a macaron bakery, and today I had 4 people come in to my bakery and say my prices are too expensive. I have been in the industry for 10 plus years. I always worked BOH so I usually didn't deal with customers. I opened my bakery 2 years ago and this is something that I have struggled with since I have been open. I use to get offended because I know I use the best product and my product is phenomenal . Now it just annoys me when I hear, " Wow, $3.25 for a cookie!". This was such a big help for being a new business owner.

      Love you! Can’t wait to eat there someday soon!

    • @alexandrucristian289

      " I use the best product " make them aware of that. Show/Tell them that you use the best products. You can even say, "We only use X for your cookies to make sure it's delicious everytime" or something like that. They have to figure out by themselfs why is expensive by giving them hints, like a nice big poster saying that, and then they will be, oh, i've heard of that x product, their cookies must be realy good if they use that for their cookies. And examples can go on forever. Good luck with the bakery. If a customers says its too expensive...well thats because it is for them, because of their income, if they earn 1,000$ a month and they pay rent bills and have to eat as well, of course they won't pay that much for a cookie. Now, sell that cookie to a guy who earns maybe 2,500 or between 3,000-5,000$ a month....for him that cookie is gonna be cheap and he won't complain about the price, because he can afford it and he doesn't have to worry about money for other expenses. Being expensive is subjective to the customer income power. If i wanna buy a Buggatti worth of 1,000,000$ yeah thats just a dream to me, i can't afford that myself, and i could go to them and tell them, wow, that's too expensive for a super car of 500horsepower...i can buy a x brand with the same power for 50.000$. Buggatti will say, sure, have fun with buying that car. Buggatti knows their product and the quality they put in it...the same way you do with your cookies. Just do some realy good marketing and you will be alright depending of your shop location.

    When someone says it’s “too expensive,” what they actually mean is “I can’t afford it.”

    • @BelakorVenator
      @BelakorVenator 2 месяца назад +1

      Not necessarily. People buy things they really “can’t afford” all the time. If a buyer _feels_ total value meets or exceeds its price, but that cost exceeds their budget, then they’ll _figure out_ a way to afford it after they have it.

    • @lrbolotin1227
      @lrbolotin1227 2 месяца назад +1

      @BelakorVenator You are right, but I’ve been in many situations where people are very impressed and interested on a service and it’s clear they find value in it, then when told the price, they say it’s too expensive, when actually the price is very reasonable for that specific service. In that case, what they mean is that they can’t afford it. It could also mean that they don’t understand the work and investment that goes into providing that service, which in that case, you really don’t want that client.

    • @BelakorVenator
      @BelakorVenator 2 месяца назад +1

      @@lrbolotin1227 For sure. Nobody is a customer of every company or a purchaser of every good and service. They're either not aware or convinced of their total "cost" of _not_ having what you offer, or they're not a qualified prospect. Although they can benefit you as an example to examine, learn and adapt.

The stuff is handmade and one of a kind, everyone loves it, but it is very expensive and most that enter the gallery cant afford it or say its expensive. im having a hard time coming in withh dominance to make the sale. we have not had a good month. can you don a video on retail selling please? i need help closing sales even when expensive.

      did you watch the video? Also never sell to people first determine if you can help them and what they need down to a tie so you know what succes looks like for them. When you have done that down to the details you say i can help you with that (if you can) i would suggest doing it x w z if the client agrees then you say this is my price for my experience and hard earned knowhow and our world class customer experience. Then say your number. if they objects when tell them they are not baying a table but years of experience making the best tables on the market and this is my very cheap price for all this knowledge.

    I made lots of notes in GPT for my luxury sunglass brand (ANEA HILL, *clears throat) from this and here's what it came back with. It's not bad. Will tweak it but could help someone else needing to email a response to being too expensive.
    "Thanks for your feedback! We appreciate you recognizing ANEA HILL's quality and design.
    Out of curiosity, when you say it's "too expensive," could you share what you're comparing it to?
    ANEA HILL sunglasses are crafted with premium materials, designed for adjustability and daily wear, ensuring they last for years. This translates to happy customers who come back for new styles and colors.
    Would you be interested in learning more about the value ANEA HILL offers?"
    Matt, I'd love to know what you think. THe ending question is throwing me a little.

      You need to reframe the interaction. Compared to what? the best service in town, the best people doing high quality work, those people are not cheap and either are you. You stand behind the product/service and you have a very high standard for the work being done. If they want sub-par work then they can pay sub-par dollars for the work. But if they want quality then they can come to you at your rate.
