We’ll that’s CBP ( US customs and border protection ) normal procedures for secondary inspection as they are the first line of defence in the united states . A travellers immigration is subject to inspection & review @ all times and there is nothing to worry about it

Even l was once picked up for random custom check in New Delhi. I was flying to Singapore via Sri Lanka. I wasn't informed why l was picked up. They just asked me random questions like why l was travelling and how much money l was carrying.

This has happened to me a couple of time when I was on my OTP . Delhi to Boston. Now that I am on H1 this never happens. You come, they stamp, you go.
I had the same experience traveling to US couple of times. Got used to it now. I have applied global entry for the same reason, should see how it goes next time when I travel.

I had a similar experience which you had. In 2017, when I came back from India to USA, an immigration officer send me and my mom to the different hall and sat for a while along with other people. At time am not worried because i know USA change their immigration rules often. After I while they send us to immigration station and the lady starts asking a bunch of questions (like. How I get in USA in the first place? What my parents do? What I am doing? How I get my green card? etc). That was first i was held in there. Usually, they ask 1 or 2 questions or nothing. By the way, the immigration officer was an Indian lady (maybe that's why she ask a bunch of questions). So basically don't freak out when you had this kind of experiences. Moreover, *BE NICE TO THE OFFICERS, EVEN THEY DRIVES YOU CRAZY*
It's a pity that we have to go through such rude questioning, but I really hope they pay for such bad behaviour in their real existent lives. Not cursing but how are they going to pay for it? Karma should bite hard.

I came California USA last two months before and USA immigration they didn't ask me any question but our on own Delhi they asked me many questions why you going,what you will do there etc.

That’s normal to get picked up randomly at customs. I was picked up at IGI after checking in. They have system going through travel dates. I was in india only for 10 days and that could have been the reason.
Same thing happened with me in 2020
at most airport in the world its normal for random customs checks, expect and tel avive airport they do racial custom check

Same thing happened with me bro when I was going to Washington airport from chatrapati shivaji Mumbai airport with my family for a week tour.And I was stopped and they kept my passport and boarding pass and take me to a room where a couple of people where also waiting like students, few ladies, a pilot, etc.
But now I now there's no need to worry next time if samething happens with me again.

Do we need to pay the fee in advance before landing in USA? Bcoz as per my loan's terms and condition, they will disburse the amount directly into university's account once i will reach there.

I met with a person who lives in London on instagram and he is coming to india very first time and he carried 65000 pounds hard cash with him and custome officer caught them and they are sqying he needs to make the payment of rs 32000 and will make paper abd release to that person and that foreigner said he know only me in India so i have make the payment but again that lady custom officer called me said he have some extra luggage so he needs to pay 75000 more I have denied but he is texting me for making a payment and said he will pay me back . Anyone please suggest what to do. Is this a scam or something?

It won't happen to you if your an American Citizen. Usually how one looks, how many times you have travelled, and your status is what comes in as a red flag. My brother is a stalky extremely fair, above 6 foot tall guy with a beard. He is always chosen for random checks.
This happened to me this time but because of my ead in USA but had a random check in Dubai while traveling with baby I was scared as I had some personal jewelry on carryon

Sir, it is very easy to blame customs, but they have responsibilities to enforce customs Law to prevent illegal activities such as smuggling...and also to safeguard Government Revenue from those who are importing goods more than permissible limits without paying customs duty....Why they are doing random checks why not all..the answer is to provide smooth movement of passengers...

Sushil Datt and to counter fake students at fake universities of which (unfortunately) Indian organizations have set up a lot of not only in the US but also in a lot of western Countries. Basically it’s a double check on fraudulent activities for fake immigration attempts from citizens of countries from which it is prevailing - India being up there. It is unfortunate for the legitimate candidates - but rightfully so as the majority applying have abused the system. Students and H1B applicants. It’s not only for terrorism
