People really don't seem to be able to grasp the profound seriousness of what Ye is saying, and certainly don't seem at all motivated to see if there's any truth to his claims. It's not about fashion. It's about power, and especially power in the areas Ye has repeatedly talked about. Hopefully a simple and honest solution to this situation. Is what Ye is saying about Jewish power true or not? He is asking us to Google who owns the big social media platforms, the banks, the Hollywood studios, the record labels, who runs The Federal Reserve, who owns the sports teams, the talent agencies, who manages the sports stars, who owns big pharma, who owns the mainstream media, the newspapers, and who has the top jobs in the US Government, etc, etc. Surely that would end all the silly speculation? Let's all educate ourselves with the facts and base our opinions on empirical truth and reality, not hearsey or speculation. As Ye is seemingly being cancelled across the board it’s only right that we investigate the validity of his claims, which no-one seems to be doing! That’s what Ye is asking us to do, I am starting to look now.
I think you’re completely wrong about a lot of people no longer backing Kanye and won’t buy his shoes. I think it can only go up in price for Yeezys as I’ve not know very many if any people that buy Yeezys solely for Kanye’s name. I personally do not care if Kanye made the shoes or not and I buy up pairs like crazy. At the end of the day, a week from now, no one will care about Kanye’s comments nor will anyone want to admit it but, I don’t think many people really care about his remarks anyways.
As with everything, prices go down, but then overall stock slowly declines as people buy cheap, then wear/lose/damage/burn in symbolic disapproval. Maybe in 5-10 years Yeezy models will be worth a few quid, but it’s a long game. It also depends what else Ye gets up to, and current optics aren’t good, but as we also know, headlines fade quick these days and memories are short.
Hi Seth here's a question. Isn't it that shoes are made way in advance so that glue can set etc so when a shoes are announced for November, December does it not mean the shoes are ready to ship out?
Jew here, one thing remains true in the entertainment/fashion space. Once you make anti-Semitic remarks, you're done. Remember Mel Gibson?. He went from being an A-list celebrity who was the leading man for 20+ years in Hollywood, to then being permanently banished to the direct-to-DVD bin at Walmart. Kanye has said some crazy stuff over the years, I mean..really crazy but for the most part, he got away with it. That said, he crossed a line by mentioning the Jews. Even his bank dropped him?. Albeit me to enforce stereotypes, Jewishness is engrained in the entertainment, banking, a media enterprises worldwide. Once you cross that line, you're done. Don't believe me? fu** around and find out.
Because people understood the context of the comment. He was meaning slavery of the mind. If anyone heard any different, they’re either a product of social media or selective hearing.
with adidas and yeezy gone from the sneaker space that leaves a spot open for a competitor against nike. i could see new balance taking that spot if they play their cards right.
@@snekjr Could be several imho. And could depend on which market. For example, in China Addidas was already getting outsold by Li-Ning. In Europe Addidas should watch out for the Swiss brand ON who are the fastest growing sports brand. And ON are becoming very trendy and fashionable. In the US it might be New Balance as you say. They would certainly be a contender. A possible dark horse could be Onitsuka Tiger. The fashionable Japanese sub brand that has cult status in the West, but is huge in Asia. Or maybe Lululemon will continue its crazy trajectory. Especially as they have recently started making shoes.

I am with the people that think that he did this purposefully, he did it with gab, he did it with Nike, so it seems natural that he would’ve done it with Adidas to try and get out of the deal. However, I do really agree with you that he cannot have wanted to get out of his bank, don’t, cannot, believe that he intended to get out of having a bank. I think that it’s gone way further than he expected it to go, and I suppose that’s why he’s had the interview recently in which he apologised for all of his antisemitic remarks. The guy is a creative genius, that’s undeniable, he changed fashion, he changed footwear, but I really do genuinely hope he gets the help he needs now.
It’s a shame . Yeezys are my most comfortable shoes and now I’m going to have to switch it up cause not only are the prices going to shoot up but the shoe itself is now tainted.
I probably should’ve mentioned that yes while Yeezys were my favorite shoes I do own a few Pharrell NMD’s while the material is similar and it’s just as comfortable the Yeezy silhouettes were still my preferred shoe since they went with just about anything. I probably will get more Pharrell’s and maybe some more boosts in the future but it’s going to be a big hole for me and I’m sure some others when it comes to their wardrobe
Whenever someone says something outrageous, then there is a question of that person's mental state...he is absolutely sane and said what he said with intention...he not crazy. He deserves what coming to him
But what about the people who stole from him ? Kanye said words .. certain people stole from him designs or ideas..in the real world that is punishable .. he clearly told u the lawyers colluded with the companies to screw him.. let somone do that to you and you cry foul. This world is a place where we all just judge what the media tells us and we dont us our mind to think about it before coming to a judgement
Kanye woke up and the rest of the world is too sensitive to listen. Major corporations control everyone's view, and only one view is accepted, the woke view. And if anyone speaks out against this woke view they are labelled insane or mentally ill. How many times have we seen this?
100% This is want Kanye West wanted. He just wanted to prove that he can do it because designers around 2008 kept denying him. If you have ever watched him in interviews around 2010-14 regarding fashion, he kept reiterating that these big brands offer the platform, but they limit his creativity. He is going to keep everything under his name and just a Ye Brand, no association with GAP, Adidas, etc., he has enough notoriety to create on his own now. He may appear insane, but inside he is a creative genius. I really believe he just doesn't give a damn anymore so he approached it with hostility, which I do not support either, but he did it and will someway, somehow bounce back.
My hope is that Adidas re-brands the silhouettes under their own name and keeps producing. I love the footwear even aside from the Kanye affiliation, and would be happy to buy them knowing I'm not supporting Kanye in his current state. I hope the man can have a change of heart and come back strong, but for now I think this was the right move. Will be interesting to see if the silhouettes keep coming or are gone forever.
Pretty sad to see shoes that would become new classics in the next 10-20 years. Will I have to pay a premium to get what was once an accessible shoe? Rip 350's 700's foams and slides.
I just get them replicas for personal use. Lot wants the original for scalpers and resellers getting a quick buck. I’d want wear a shoe not baby it. Had a fren so paranoid each time he put on a pair going out. Checking for weather and where we’re heading each time
Yeezys are my favorite shoes and I own 8 pairs. It's sad to see them stop, but something tells me that within a year time Ye will apologize for what he said and sign back with Adidas and the Yeezy production will resume. I hope I'm right. (BTW I copped 6 of my Yeezys for retail price). It happened few years ago with WWE and Hulk Hogan when Hogan made a racist comment and WWE terminated their contract with him saying that this relationship is ended forever, but couple of years later he was back on WWE.
WWE was ran by Vince McMahon, who despite everything loved Hulk Hogan and only fired him because of all the backlash. The hate never never went away but Vince wanted him back asap. The same can’t be said here, as adidas only sees Ye as a business and nothing personal. I doubt they would risk a backlash for a return even if it is a few years down the line. To this day Hulk is hated by the fans.
I think he's way too unstable... Adidas had a long contract with him, but no way they would have signed this in the past couple of years. He's way too much of a risk for any company... I think he's about to be pretty irrelevant in the fashion space. Everyone loves a comeback so if he truly gets better lets see, but near-term, I doubt it.
Addressing "his designs"; they dont appear to actually be his designs. Adidas owns it all based on the wording of their announcement and it seems he was more of a colorway and final stamp of approval which would explain why we kept getting the same shades of colors for such a long time. Adidas provided the designers, the technical knit people and everything else. The only person losing out here is Kanye.
As a kid who fell in love with Kanye through his music, which then lead me to sneakers this hurts so much. Not him losing his brand deals but seeing someone I looked up to go down this path.

You’re right. I honestly couldn’t care less.
Bro when r u dropping those hoodie?

I’m surprised this didn’t happen in 2018 when Kanye said “slavery is a choice”.
I'm also surprised about that
I’m not surprised at all
Because people understood the context of the comment. He was meaning slavery of the mind. If anyone heard any different, they’re either a product of social media or selective hearing.
Black man can't have a different view about his own ancestors slavery. Got it.
Because he's right, and this proves it, nobody cares about black people, and this is what he's point to
Does that mean gap won’t send out the hoodies I paid for a few days ago?

If you don't care about hype there's tons of shoes that are as comfortable or more comfortable than Yeezys.
Replicas will still be available. Just saying.

Are you gonna review yeezy sneakers again or no?
I honestly hope he dosent bounce back if he thinks this is the way he wanted creative freedom.

Honestly there are sooo many companies that make seriously high quality replicas. If the prices got to high I’d just order from them.
I just get them replicas for personal use. Lot wants the original for scalpers and resellers getting a quick buck. I’d want wear a shoe not baby it.
Had a fren so paranoid each time he put on a pair going out. Checking for weather and where we’re heading each time
My guess is that they’re gonna remove anything that says YEEZY from the shoe. So they’ll probably be called “Adidas Boost 350” or something like that
Adidas would be so gay for that
If they do that they are worst than kanye, fucking hypocrit corporation ,boycott Adidas
Well, that's sad mate. This means there might not be anymore Adidas Yeezys.

What did he say?
Addressing "his designs"; they dont appear to actually be his designs. Adidas owns it all based on the wording of their announcement and it seems he was more of a colorway and final stamp of approval which would explain why we kept getting the same shades of colors for such a long time. Adidas provided the designers, the technical knit people and everything else. The only person losing out here is Kanye.
They are 100% his designs. That's why he called them out for stealing his ideas after they released that shoe that looked like the foam runners.
Will you still wear your yeezy's Seth ?
As a kid who fell in love with Kanye through his music, which then lead me to sneakers this hurts so much. Not him losing his brand deals but seeing someone I looked up to go down this path.

@@DingoAteMyMail What he said was right, you don't even know that semites come from north and east africa and they speak hebrew, geez, amharic, ugaritic and arabic all semetic languages. The word jewish the suffix ish means kind of not really, the created state of israel in 1948 couldve been created in a plethora of regions, the ashkenazi Jewish khazars run the media, the music industry and every big corporation their is. You can tell whos in power because they are those yoy are not allowed to criticise. The ancient yahudim (jews) were not europeans, yet the current occupants of israel came from Poland, Germany and other parts of europe. Ive studied this topic for a while now and I am 100 percent certain that they have no connection to the ancient hebrews at all. Does this mean future yeezy models will not have boost
He doesn't own the rights to the 350 design or boost, Adidas do - Ye cannot release a 350 or he'll get sued. But Adidas do not own the Yeezy name... so they'll never release a Yeezy branded product again (unless they get back together - unlikely).
The Yeezy silhouettes are revolutionary, in my opinion. I’ve never supported Kanye and his shenanigans and it’s so sad to see so many incredible sneakers cease to exist seemingly overnight. I managed to cop a lot of my favorites, including foam runners, 350’s and a 700 v3 model but it very well looks like I will no longer be able to afford collecting Yeezys.
Adidas owns the designs of the shoes. In my opinion it is very likely that those silhouettes will keep releasing in the future.
Only reason why what he said is considered controversial is because of ww2. If he said the same thing but about white people he would be celebrated. Messed up world we live in
