    The Kasai Village Dive Resort is the ideal destination for all divers and nature enthusiasts searching for a first-class dive retreat away from congested tourist areas.
    This small town on the southwest side of Cebu offers easy access to some of the Philippines' best-known dive sites.
    Moalboal is the soul of marine biodiversity in the Philippines. Its steep walls support schools of jacks, barracudas, sardines, turtles, occasional thresher sharks and passing whale sharks.
    Critters and macro-life are plentiful here, and highlights include pygmy seahorses, sardine balls, octopus, nudibranch, electric clams, cuttlefish, ghost pipefish, frogfish and a host of crustaceans.

      Dive Resort: Kasai Village
      kasaivillage.com
      My daughter was 14 this summer when the video was shot. She didn't have any issues and all the dives were appropriate for her age and level.
      Kasai was an all-in-one package. Probably on the mid to high expense range. Kasai also organised our trip to diving with the Whale Sharks, which was an excellent experience. The whale shark vlog can also be found on this channel. I've not yet dived Bohol. For me, four dive sites stood out, the sardine run, the whale sharks and the two dives on Pescador Island.
      I hope this helped. Thank you for watching.

      Our diving stomping ground is Monterey California known for its Kelp Forestry. However, our dive site is cold water diving. 7mm or dry suit min to dive.

    Very few sharks in the Philippines. I dove on 5 trips all over and the only place you really see sharks is Tubbataha. The only danger are triggers when nesting. Worth going for the sardines for 3 days of diving I guess.

    • @DivingandDogs
      @DivingandDogs  Год назад +1

      I'm guessing the lack of reef sharks is due to overfishing. I did see reef and thresher sharks up at Malapascua and Whale Sharks in Oslob.
      The Sardines were excellent and mostly garenteed. Same with the Threshers in Malapascua and the Whale Sharks in Oslob.

      True. The whole reef system will eventually collapse if sharks disappear. Raja Ampat reestablished their sharks and the reefs are fantastic.

    • @DivingandDogs
      @DivingandDogs  Год назад

      @@nilstar6443 In the Philippines I was not diving with a tray, I was diving with a GoPro 9 on a selfie stick and a handheld torch! Not an easy trick! The torch I used was a Tovatec Fusion 530.
      In my Alor Guide I then progressed to a tray with a GoPro 10 and the Tovatec Fusion 530 torch attached.
      Finally I now dive with a tray, a Gopro 10 and two Tovatec Fusion 530 torches.
      The reason I dive with the Tovatec Fusion 530 is because they were on sale at the time! It is a very basic set up, and relatively cheap, but it seems to get nice enough results.
