Great video - Ive been messing with this exact thing for a few months trying to get dialed in. I started with manufacturer recommendations which fried my plants. Cut in half -still to much. Now Im down to 1/3 dose and the girls are happy. Many of focus to much on more more and your point of using the least is a better approach...and explains alot for me as a new grower. Thanks!

Right about grey area. I just finished some GG4 that I just could not burn. Plants were typical size I usually grow, environment unchanged. These things would pull down nutes at the max box recipe. I usually run half what is listed on the box MAX.

@@Dayandcounting fair enough but if youve never tried an organic grow atleast give it a try once. I used strictly foxfarm preamaended soils for my entire grow and it was such a pleasure from using salt based nutrients. Ofcoarse pros and cons for both sides, my favorite pro of organic is the plant can take in the nutrients when it wants to as the nutrients are readily available

I’ve never seen the pistols look like that. Kinda cool. Beautiful plants, perfect germ rate and super easy to grow. Maybe the easy to grow comes from watching the videos, ha

21:35 to 21:45 is not impossible. however, it is one of those things where only people dedicated to agriculture in general can truly enjoy. The correct way to go about this is first answer the questions: Can I get a dry matter analysis of my bud? Can I estimate, within error, what my dry matter yield of bud is? if the answer to both is yes, you can work backwards to estimate fertilizer use for the entire grow. Throw away all fertilizer for vegetative growth completely and give 15% of potassium amount you reverse engineered and focus bulk feeding on phosphorus with supplements of Ca + Mg. With a proper canopy, bird food is among the most phosphorus demanding plants in the plant kingdom. Of course, we are using Happy Frog and Ocean Forest. Phosphoric acid is best to maximize nutrient availability. Maybe just ONE dab of micronutrient package like chelated Iron, Copper, Zinc and Manganese in a very dilute dose during the second feed of flower, separate from the phosphorous feedings. I love you, GT. You're an inspiration to the craft. One day, I'll name a strain after you.

I agree with transplanting more often up until you flip to flower. I run coco so I’m feeding with every ro watering at 6.0 to 6.3 with a 5.8 thrown in every now and then to mix it up. But any way I’ve noticed when I transplant more often, such as #fucksolocups😂😂 the small square pots, 1/4 gallon I think. Use that until you have decent roots then go to a one gal, to a 3, even to a 5 sometimes if I have a real chubby girl that wants more food. Doing this rather than going from your root cube or solo cup straight into a 3 or 5 gallon or bigger pot, let’s the roots grow faster and fill up the container faster, equaling way faster dry back times, equaling way more water 💦 which in coco means way more food more often. This is basically what people are talking about when they say “crop steering” doing whatever you can to allow you to water and feed as much and often as possible. That’s why you’ll hear people say, “you can’t over water coco” and “ in coco I water 26 times a day 😂 small containers with big plants being watered and fed multiple times per day

A few years back I burned the absolute dog shit out and 2 of my best biggest plants by following a bad VPD chart and running my rh way too high. This caused my plants not to drink any water or feed. So after about 5 days and no idea at the time why they aren’t drying like usual, and I hit them real good with a feed. The next morning they where just fried!! One of them not as bad as the other so I think to myself to give it as much light as possible and lower rh hoping it would cause the media to dry faster so I could flush. Nope more light killed that think in a number of days, but the other one I had set on the floor out of intense light and it took a little while but fully came back better than ever and ended up being some super killer herb

I water real slow. I add water through a sprayer to evenly water for about 10 seconds and then 10 minutes later I repeat. It takes a while 30-45 minutes but I don’t have run off and have never over watered. I grow in and outdoor (over achiever) and I grow organically. I have a personal reason for organic growing however I used nuts for a while and had great results BUT the flavor is significantly better with organic. That’s my opinion. This channel has helped me through so many hard times it’s unreal and Kevin smith helped me through those time to. I love his movies.

I’m running 800ppm week 1 and 2 of veg right now, using ffof, no problems at all, plants seem to love it, week 3 and 4, I’m bumping up to 1000ppm and I’m going to coast it back down weeks 5 and 6 to 850ppm till flower. Organic dry amendments are slow release, so I don’t think there’s any worry, I just wouldn’t feed for a week or 2, 2000ppm is high, I’ve given my plants 2000ppm before I knew my ppm meter wasn’t reading right but they have been okay as well, but I also didn’t feed for a couple weeks, just watered.

man why would you trash the whole grow over one plant herming in only week 2. It aint pollinating anything yet. Ive had hella herms that never create viable pollen anyway and some where I pulled nanners every week and no seeds.

Is it best to give a plant neutral ph water if you have a nitrogen toxicity and ppms are too high after you've changed out the soil?
