Good video for young traders. Kindly explain, how to proceed, to buy one lot in F & O hold it, and short it. Plz explain the procedures involved. The investor is ready to invest in long term.
I received a call from your team today morning He wanted me to subscribe to your services I wanted more information He wasn't willing to provide. Also, I have filled the form but I haven't any information regarding the technical analysis course
Nicely explained. But, which broker in India is giving this option of executing covered calls ? There are few absurd ways available, wherein you can pledge shares to generate margin. What you explained, I don’t think you can do this in India.
Thanks for the video. 👍🏼I am NRI based in the US and an advanced option trader in the US markets. Seems like too much capital for meagre returns (comparing in options market ) nevertheless positive returns are always good 😀. Can I as NRI sell covered calls on stocks in hold ? I have an account with zerodha. Also what option expiry are available ? Weekly ? And do I need margin in addition to underlying assuming I have 200 reliance ?
Say I sold OTM call option and then market goes up so that the option becomes ITM. I loose money in option. And to book gains in stocks, I need to sell them. So my stock holding is gone. But I wanted to hold these stocks for long-term and I might not get a good buy price to re-enter in the stock. If I don't book the gains in stocks, it's possible that the stock price falls back after I loose money in the option.
Problem with this strategy is you buy reliance@ say 3000 and sell call and reliance fall to 2000 then for months u won’t be able to sell any call as 3000 call will fetch u nothing
You are assuming lot size of RIL as 200 hypothetically and taking the data of option premium(Rs 11) from nse website where the lot size is 500 shares and not 200 qty and calculating returns as 1% with investment of 200 shares
Then you would lose 50% of the value of the 100 shares you own but keep the premium from selling the call. I didn't watch the video to see if he mentions this but that what happens. Basically you the idea is you are selling options against a stock you a. own and b. aren't going to sell (at least prior to the expiration of the options). I hope this helps!
1% every month not posible.. doing same from many years.. next month or after two three months u will not get premium s abv your cost strikes if stocks gone in downtrend for longer period.. like tcs wipro.. Kindly requesting you bro don't show only positive things..
This strategy is risky as you will miss out the high returns giving months… if you say you need to compromise for that with loss adjusted with invested stocks’s rise, why hold that stock in the first place… Also please remember the rise in stocks is notional but loss in options is in cash..
Great content ..Can you extend it to option wheels strategy including this with cash secured put... also you did not cover the hack to reduce the margin in this video.
very useful sir, thank you
I love your presentation. Thanks for the great content. Continue to do the good work.

Hi Team, Unable to select the timeslot, as there is no option in the form, hence unable to submit the form.
Your prime form is stuck on If selected, which time slot would you prefer?
Thank you for this video. Is there a similar way to use "buying put" than "selling call"?

Are there covered call ETF's in India like the US?
I don't think there is a ETF as an asset class in India. Long way to come near US markets !
Can we still take coveted call if the stock is pledged
No
just one doubt, if from chart we see a good up move, cant we exit from the call option when it is going against us?
yes you can anytime

People usually exit the contract a few days before expiry and buy the following months contract at a higher cover.
Problem with this strategy is you buy reliance@ say 3000 and sell call and reliance fall to 2000 then for months u won’t be able to sell any call as 3000 call will fetch u nothing
The Vix is low and the premium is very low nowadays
You are assuming lot size of RIL as 200 hypothetically and taking the data of option premium(Rs 11) from nse website where the lot size is 500 shares and not 200 qty and calculating returns as 1% with investment of 200 shares
What do do is the stock goes down 50 percent?
Then you would lose 50% of the value of the 100 shares you own but keep the premium from selling the call.

Why only sell, why not buy the call?
super b

Reliance lot size 250 .. Not 200
