Sean, I'm using a 2 wire switch between the battery and the esc. That way nothing has any juice, not even the esc or moter, until you turn on the switch.
Great vid. I wish you all the best with your mom my mother fell two times a yr apart and broke a hip each time . If you don't have I would suggest getting all things for handicap for the bathroom and when you find a vehicle make a platform that she can step on to help her into the car. I purchased a jeep Cherokee for my mom to ride in and that worked very well. Also get a handicapped parking sticker for your vehicle. Wishing you all the best.
thank you those are all great tips . she lives in a assisted living facility with 24hr care . she has her own apartment sort of speak . more like a big hotel room with a kitchen the bathroom is handicap walk in shower or roll in. all the floors are non slip and she can have her dogs the place is great. the fall was a bummer . she is healing really good and on the 14th hopefully the doc will let her put full weight back on her hip. . now the bummer is she caught covid at the doctor office last tuesday so she is isolated at the skilled nursing facility and the therapy is delayed . i will keep everybody updated thank you sean

I just got an old spprentice s receiver and i did not know about the power switch , good information. question: 1. your power switch is using just one wire , why you are recomending a 3 wire switch ? i am confused, can you please clarify. 2. How the receiver needs to be installed in other plane....i know that needs to be aliened to the axis of the plane. But how accurate this installation it needs to be? My scratch build plane has no surfaced aligned with the axis onf the plane,,,,how close this alignment needs to be? Thanks
Anyone in here like rc waffles...dm me I joined a group back in end of September and I've won 3 planes in last 40 days they keep the waffles less than 30 and less than 30 dollars....dad's rc waffles on FB groups tell them Tory sent you....we have a good time if your into the whole waffle thing....take care guys

This is a great idea but you definitely should NOT install a switch on the main battery feed wires. I'm an auto tech and work with DC voltage all the time. Switches are sold in Amp ratings and the biggest are 30A at best and if overloaded the switch can melt inside causing a short and catch on fire. You could probably get away with a switch on 1-2S batteries but I wouldn't want to chance it especially not with the type of switch shown in the video. It's not hurting anything having power going to the ESC while doing your setup though.
