I can’t unlock from a tuck over 30 and still have the reflexes to do anything besides wind brake and pray my legs remember how to float past the wobbles. Took me an entire season of focus to get to that point. Then went down a hill which I didn’t check for “anomalies”. Lost most of the skin from elbow to wrist from hitting a little stream of water runoff after a bend. Had to quit for a while. Now I’ve got shin splints from overworking myself to get back into shape to make up for the spring being spent indoors and a fall/winter of similarly nothing. I’m literally trash at downhill. Just trying to emphasize how amazing what he’s doing is.

This kid makes it look effortless, notice how often he has to plwer slide, on the edge of control. Truly impressive! There's one hill around there ... stop sign at the very top and you can't see the bottom over the hood of your car from it... back in high school we'd drive to the top and hold the e-brake, then let go and coast as if we were on a roller coaster. The shit kids do ... can't imagine anyone bombing it on a skateboard.

Nonsense, this type of hill would be suicide for most long boarders that aren't young, extremely talented, and at their physical peak. Just get super comfortable with your board on flat ground and then slowly start going down small hills and progressing from there. Tons of tutorials online nowadays but as long as you have a basic idea what you're doing a good amount of what comes next is just instinctual. Make sure you wear a helmet though! And elbow/knee pads on bigger hills. Most important tip I could think of is learn early how to jump and run off your board + how to fall properly
@mikebalko well rule number 1: you don't skate faster than you can run if you are trying to bail. Otherwise you will eat shit. Start small and you will definitely practice stumbling/falling/bailing. As rule number 2: freakin stretch before you skate! Your pushing foot and muscles will thank you. Otherwise you'll pull a muscle when you try to catch yourself. I know cause I been there 😅
My old stomping grounds, those hills are legit - 17 years old = Indestructible.back in my day we did that with no protective gear (but we were stoned & stupid), still VERY impressive, especially the gratuitous slides above 30-35 MPH - Kool video !
I've watched a lot of downhill longboarding by this point, and this is probably the most balls-to-the-wall crazy aggressive run I've ever seen. And this dude has slide control on another level entirely..
C K who cares? Not anyone riding a plank at 40mph down a hill. We all have a choice, man. Most choose to live and let live. Some, like your ilk, live in judgement, to hide their own fear of living. A few LIKE feeling the rush that only the knowledge you may be severely injured (or die) doing a thing can give. The latter means you're alive. The former means you're already dead.
LBDR 4 E V E R...It’s disassembled but I still have my Comet Grease Hammer. This video perfectly embodies the downhill fantasies I’d have that got me through the hallways with my head down and my headphones in. Face melting sick footage long live Cole.
insanley thrilling to see you guys..! i‘m 45, and i thought, the things we did - 30 years ago on a sk8 was insane... greetings from a older sk8er dude. (sry english isn‘t my native language)
This is absolutely amazing the best skater I have ever seen we used to do this many years ago. However way less cars and houses. We zig zagged the whole way one side of the road to the other😮We never did the final descent unless we popped a wheelie going down final run. I would put nails on my rear block because the board would disingrate after several runs amazing this kid is a true daredevil best to do this with road closed off !
Unbelievable skills but a bit light on the protective gear. One mistake and skill might turn into a very nasty accident with all that oncoming traffic. More padding would be very handy then. And camera man...not so close when behind him in a straight line. Really impressive otherwise.
People don't give enough credit to the cameraman who can keep up, focus on the rider, focus on his riding, and paying attention to his surroundings all at the same time. 👍🏼 Either way, this stuff is awesome and I bet it must feel exhilarating to do. I recently got into longboarding and I wish I knew more people who would be down to try and learn this with me. It looks so fun to do. Truly an inspiration.
Yo fam I film it’s a car. Thanks tho(; but keep at it Longboarding!! You’ll definitely be able to find friends to ride with eventually. Idk about right now but before corona, muirskate longboard shop was doing a lot of events for beginner riders.

This is the gnarliest skating I've seen to date. Those standups must've been done near 50 mph. Unheard of.
I was thinking the same thing... Imagine being in a car driving up the street seeing that. LOL

The fastest I've been able to go is 25 or 30 :(
@@colecontos5001 my electric skateboard goes that fast. That’s about the fastest I want to go. Unless I’m snowboarding

One wrong move and he has broken bones and burned skin
Hahah same
1:27 damn, some balls to do that in front of a car
He have two.😂
After awhile cars arnt the enemy tbh
He did it so he wouldn't crash into the car

I've been up there and those hills are very steep. That's crazy shit right there man.
If you’ve ever been on that road then you know how impressive this is. Props for making it look so easy
We can see it’s insane just from the video.

Yeah it is. I do too

He’s got such good control. Like those bs turns would be scary as ever. The riders pretty ballsy, but in a way so is the driver.
just running the stop signs is risk enough
Digging the first right corner you took. Perfect.
amazing ^^ loved that 360 slide thing at the end
Laguna beach is so beautiful. And this street is perfect. Awesome!
- noooo, you can't go skating like that, it's dangerous :'(
- haha, wheel go schrr schrr. XD

As a 41 yr old looking at buying a $200 long board with the aspiration of doing this, this may be my wake up call to sit my butt down 😂

@@dominostimes2119 Filthy Frank said this.
Not to be the clown in here but thank lord that the pebble doesn't do anything when you go 50 mph over it
Allan Senna from my perspective was more from JRE Clips with recent riots and street bricks episode
Pebbles dont exist on the roads of Laguna

I was impressed at how quick he reduced all that speed to stop in a few powerslides

What are that stop-sings for? In Europe they mean, that you have to stop because of a dangerous crossing. But there aren't crossings at all.
Yeah genuinely not sure why there were so many... the flow of traffic would be the exact same without them for this particular spot.
