I am sooooooo glad I made it that night- and what a night it was! Vril was my favourite set by far :-). Next up, Printworks in November. Thank god for this venue- finally London is back with a bang!
this is what ibiza is missing... ever since enter and space sort of disappeared things have gotten way out too commercial. I mean they were commercial before, but now i find it too secularized towards the commercial side. Which is somewhat fine but it has gotten to the point that clubs such as veto and underground besides dc 10 and amnesia in some nights would be the only ones as leaders of massive underground movement. A night such as printworks would be great. I just think there is an edge that has gone missing since carl cox, enter and especially space left.
@@cuscopackershostels6753 it is and it has gotten worst and worst... i have been there 7 times.. it is nothing but a heaven for people with money or people willing to spend money for no reason... and for people who should be going to places like st. tropez instead.... people with money pretending to be "real " or judging people who are there for music reasons and to have fun based on music. sad. i am not going there anymore. last time i was there it had turned into something else other than what it was... hi ibiza is not that good.. ushuia is maybe the only exception but there are better things to concentrate in life rather than be into music music music all the time... 24/7 unless you are dj or a producer.
@@ceterisparibus6261 Glad to hear that... I HATE the whole Ibiza context with all those twats taking selfies inside the "clubs" I mean Electronic music should stick in the underground scene, The best djs (to me) don't play in Ibiza (Rrose, Silent Servant, Function, Regis, Vatican Shadow...) But you will always find djs like Luciano, Villalobos, Richie Hawtin (who has been literally kicked out once from Berghain) Maceo Plex, Solomun... in that cheese (musically) island.
@@cuscopackershostels6753 yes and no. I am part of that whole scene of taking selfies mate. There is a whole generation in England that has grown up outside the whole scene of underground. For my last 2 stays in Ibiza I met a A LOT of english girls and guys. Most of them are not really THAT in touch with the whole issue of what it is like to be a "raver" or as they call it " acid house" or underground revolution. The problem honestly it is not about the people it is about the whole economic development of Ibiza turning and evolving into a rich persons heaven dude. Ibiza is not longer the place for hippies that like up and coming music like it was in the 90s or the 00s ... Honestly the last time I was there I got out of the airport at Ibiza... on an flight from Iberia from Madrid having spent one night in madrid chekcing out the scene there. The scene in madrid was more cooler than in Ibiza. Ibiza is cool to go with mates and to go for the amazing beaches and the beach parties and the boat parties and ushuia... But it is not a celebration of underground music. It is a celebration of opulence tied into dance and edm music . A lot of the kids that go to Ibiza are young and most of them work and they hook up with one another. So it is cool or them to be there. they are getting laid they get paid a little .. they get sun and they get fresh air. The same thing for Germans or for other people... a lot of italians working there too. A lot of drug dealers from Italy for some reason they go there and sell a lot of drugs. Anyways. The point of going to ibiza is not for going to see the most underground djs anymore it is to go and see the most successful djs that have made underground music famous. Richie hawtin had one of the best nights there called Enter.. the night was literally the last best thing that was there. The only other cool night would be amnesia coccoon , music on and the odd together as well as El ROW from barcelona. Overall there are good parties but the vibe is not hippie vibe like you describe. Low budge low cost amazing atmosphere it is more european big budget, big money and stupid spending spree on stupid stuff... And that has made a lot of people upset because a lot of big big money and a lot of people from europe are trying to milk as much money as possible from the clubbers. So I partially agree with you. Some of the djs have had their better days. I mean I really do not like ricardo villalobos , he is really boring for the most part and really cookied like he goes on his very own tangents at times when it comes to trying to dj... Lucia is ok at best with his brand of house... I disagree with maceo plex.. his night at pacha was the best thing that could happen to pacha.. besides solomun and solomun also is a bit overated but has a huge following in ibiza becuase he has been living in the island I think and also he has strong ties to a very popular club of Pacha. Also if you get to play for 6 hours straight you and I would learn really quickly to dj very good stuff... but having been to pacha (the club like 9 times) .. the novelty wears off quickly... maceo plex is the only cool genius there. Ibiza is only for going to the beaches, boat parties, pool parties, rent a car... go to beaches and do sports... .. it is pretentious but that is why it is famous. I learned to learned how to party there... basically.
Printworks is an amazing venue but they need to sort out the amount of people playing on the line ups. Only a 1 hour set for someone like Vril is just a pisstake tbh... sort it out.
AstateOfficial mate Vril played live don't forget that ,every single dj who is playing live he's not doing a long set more than one hour, also in the main room played 5 6 dj in 11 hours I think it's fair enough
Thats why i prefer line ups with less people playing. Id rather have fewer DJs play but have longer sets, meaning they can really dig deep and create a journey. Just my opinion.
I can listen to this set over and over again, one of my favourites. Thank you Vril, keep producing amazing music.
The Monster VRIL, taking us to another dimension!

Best producer at the moment, hands down.
