Turkey was always such a treat when they participated and i miss them so much! Mor ve Ötesi - Deli from 2008 is still my all time favourite song from Eurovision ever! Lots of love from Sweden ^^

There is a chance that Turkey returns for 2022 ! Fingers crossed. I honestly think it would be so dam funny if they return next year, actually win and host 2023 !!😅 Imagine that

I want them to do well so they're encouraged to stay maybe follow the pattern of Italy they come back mostly send quality for ten years get thereabouts and then win after that - with a top notch rock entry : -).

Sorry, what's the issue? Is Turkey excluded? For what reason?

@@demitri_tTürkiye decided to withdraw due to Big 5 and voting system but these are nonsense. Main reason is lgbt. They said that they couldn't broadcast lgbt performances to children at 22:00 (at the türkiye's time)

Turkey was often underrated during the language rule period because nobody in Europe understood the Turkish language or Turkish music traditions.
They did better in the 2003-2012 period because they were allowed to sing in English by then.

This isn't really true because Israel have won 3 times in Hebrew, Serbia have won in Serbian, etc.

@@benlea8934 Israel was never treated as a step-child like Turkey was.
Obviously, the jurors all over Europe were more into Hebrew than into Turkish for whatever reason.
And as for Serbia's win, it is the only winning song to not be sung in English during a period of nineteen years.
It is an exception and an anomaly.

@@Furienna I'm not dissing Serbia or Molitiva but Serbia has a strong base of support in the Balkans and neighbouring countries with a strong disapora like Switzerland that Turkey doesn't have. Although Portugal and Italy prove that don't have sing in English to win too and Italy has some supportive neighbours but I think succeeds because they send quality although I think mostly Serbia sends interesting stuff too.

Turkey should have won in most of the years because they often had the best song awakening the people when they fell asleep by the other songs. And this was the problem: if they would not just ignore the Turkish song Turkey had won too often.

Thanks for the reaction! In 1975 we came last when we attend for the first time because of the war! We got Northern Cyprus in this time so european countries gave us only 3 points. I'm recommending you to react 1975 Turkish entry called Seninle Bir Dakika! I was hoping that we'll come back to Eurovision in 2022 but after our disasters I dont think that we are going to back unfortunately. But still we have 1 month to attend Eurovision again! I'm crossing my fingers and waiting....

Hey, where's criticism? It's just nodding and approval. Just ask me about my country. I'd directly answer that I wouldn't even try to send half of them to the Eurovision contest (including recent "Manisha"). Yes, some of them aren't too bad IMO like Bilan, Lazarev and Little Big (and may be also Alsu - 2nd place anyway, but again IMO, and that's my content :) ). But there were a lot of literal junk for many years. And then you ask why Manga lost? Unless you stop the paradigm "the closer the better" it'll be the same. A winner should be the best one not the closest one.

BTW, we had no metal or just rock in the list. Just some pop (or folk at least which is okay). I envy honestly Turkish, Finnish and Italians.
