My Uncle was missing for around 8 years. He had been declared dead by the court, we had a memorial service for him. My Aunt found him after all of those years and being declared dead. He had gotten hit by a car and couldn't talk anymore from his injuries. He was in a nursing home. It was in a really upper class nursing home because he received a bunch of money when he was hit by a car. Over his years of being there, the nurses would write down names he would attempt to say. He could say his 2 daughters names and my Aunts name. When he seen my Aunt for the first time after all of those years, he had a huge smile ear to ear and said Neecie, a nickname he called her. It was shocking to find him. We had all already accepted his death and really thought he must be gone.
This is sad that all suffered so long. But at least you know now. Hope all is as good as it can be for you
@@CerealBoomer It was great for the entire family! This is an extremely slimmed down version of the entire story. My Uncle has actually passed away now. He was able to go with his family by his side and actually have a proper resting place.
As a momma who has lost a 14 y/o son unexpectedly, my heart breaks for Katie. I’m so glad that she was finally able to come on and talk about her precious boy. If you have never experienced the loss of your own child, you have NO RIGHT to judge anyone for how they are trying to cope with it. In those moments when you do allow yourself to smile or leave the house and go out in public, trust me that you do feel guilty. Grief is a process, it has only been 3 months since Sebastián went missing and honestly, Katie is still probably in shock and just going through the motions at this point. I pray for all of the heartless and nasty people who feel the need to judge, i pray that you NEVER have to know how these parents (all 3 of them)are feeling. 💚💚💚

I was raised by a neglectful, mentally abusive narcissistic mom and an alcoholic father with brain damage and a mean spoiled sister. I have incurable CPTSD. My son is autistic. If my son went missing Id crawl into my shell and freeze and I wouldnt be able to bathe, or leave the house or talk to ppl. I would shut down completely.

When my son was taken I had depression and grief so badly it was crippling, and I was bed bound for 8 months. People need to stop criticizing Katie because until you have walked in her shoes you have absolutely no idea what pain she is in. The DA's office said that all 3 of the adults have been ruled out and are not suspected in Sebastian's disappearance.

I think he had a lovely day with his mum and then decided to continue the day by going on a venture like he did many times with his torch but unfortunately he either went somewhere different and just couldn't get out of the situation, he is probably nearer than people expect.....let's hope he isn't suffering and will be home soon X thank you Michelle for all your hard work x

Katie is a day late, a $ short. LE told Heather the PI that they have nothing on camera showing Sebastian leaving the house that morning and no scent trail either. There are also CPS records that can't be revealed. Not innocent. JMO.

To all the people out there that want to judge Katie’s behavior while she’s sharing memories of her son, I say to them be grateful you don’t understand grief in such depths of depression. I grieve daily and have for 16yrs over the death of my little brother whom I raised as my own. However, I have laughed during that time, I’ve gone on vacation and theme parks etc. none of my living takes from my grief. It’s always there. Like being dead and wearing a hearing aid. Though you can hear while it’s on it doesn’t mean your deafness isn’t still there once the aid is removed. We must laugh and share memories as a part of healing and grieving. It also helps others heal during grief. So stop with the drama and let this mother share her heart about her beautiful son. I pray he is found safely but as adults we know how hard it would be to survive without tools to help aid in that survival. Don’t search for darkness where there is light & don’t sniff that candle out. It’s not your light to snuff. I promise if you’re ever in such a distress you’ll pray others help you keep that flame burning rather than trying to protect that precious light from those who dwell in the suffering of others. Love and heal others, don’t be destructive to someone else’s life.

His Mum said Sebastian has an allergy to grass, yet 'he walked out that door', in the middle of the night, barefoot. Walked straight past his shoes at the door, and (allegedly) left in light clothing and barefoot after 'the best day ever'.
So, you think if he wanted to leave for some reason, he'd be thinking about his grass allergy before he left? Lol
He didn’t leave on his own, in Feb, with no shoes , coat, or phone.
@elainec2975 it was in the 50's; he didn't need a coat. If someone had lured him away, they may have told him to leave his phone so his movements couldn't be traced.
Both my brothers had a grass allergy as kids, all it did was make them sneeze. They ran around barefoot out on the grass all day every day.
I found the interview very disturbing. Yes everyone grieves differently. I have lost a 5 year old grandaughter 7 years ago. And much more loss. Reminiscing about your only missing child after 3 months is hard to get through. I would be holding something sentimental of my child's at this early stage. My daughter had a friend that reminds me of Katie. Sweet Polly voice when needed. But she had an extremely evil side. Very coercive. Katie wore a ts shirt in a photo saying Evil Girl. Now she needs one that says Evil Mom. She had a very toxic upbringimg and had to go to a foster home. There must be extreme resentment . She allowed Chris to turn her against her own and only son. The attention Chris needed from Katie was shared with Sebastian and Chris resented it. Katie made a foolish and tragic decision choosing Chris.

It took her less than 3 months to accept her son is dead?... That would be the only reason she would be experiencing grief the way it is being described. That's a pretty fast transition, especially from a mother. Mothers of missing kids often hold out hope for decades that their child is still alive and might come home one day yet it takes Katie less than 3 months to move on to the stages of grief. In the decades I've been studying crime and psychology, I've only ever seen that with guilty people. They say they've accepted the missing persons is dead so they can speak freely, like using the past tense without worry or laughing without the public questioning them. She doesn't KNOW Sebastian is dead or does she... Depressed people smile if only to mask their depression from orhers so I'm not following you there.

My daughter left home at 18 amd 4 years later I cry every night. My heart grieves in the silence of my only child gone and living in a cruel world by the same ppl on these RUclips channels that I can’t protect her from them. Just wondering is she is having a bad day or is sad or lonely and I can message her or call her or see her but this mother can’t it’s called survival! When your heart is broken you learn to survive in your hell Katie has had a hard life so she’s a survivor. You can’t read her mind or even see her face. In the beginning she had to quit talking because she started crying. Imagine mocking a grieving mother till it’s you in her shoes. You know in the Bible it says God isn’t mocked whatever a sows he will reap so I wonder how many ppl will go through something like this because they put themselves on a pedestal of what they “wouldn’t ever do”.
@@mrssassy9324 Not sure what exactly you thought I was "mocking" in my statement. I was talking about human behavior and grief. And if you noticed, I said "grief as it is being described" by Michelle. I was in no way mocking grief but it kind of sounds like you want a whole bunch of people to suffer by having their children taken from them because they don't agree with your views. You KNOW your daughter is alive, according to your comment, even if she's not with you. The same can not be said for Sebastian. This is why I'm critical of her behavior. The two scenarios are not the same.

I do think this photo makes him look so much younger than 15, and if he’s been on the road or living rough he may not be beaming like a 10 yr old told to smile for a picture. I think that this photo is one of the reasons so many think he’s not a maturing, smart, 15-year-old capable of deciding to walk off.

The interview with Queen Bee wasn't refreshing. Katie showed a big fat zero in the grief and sadness department for Sebastian being missing almost 3 minths

This is just my speculations. Sebastián usually traveled out of the area by vehicle and his mom said he had these routes memorized. It would make sense to me that he would have walked one of these routes to leave the area on foot. Ie his school bus route, the route his father drove, the route any family member would have used to take him out of the neighborhood. Searching along all of these routes beyond the 5 mile radius could be helpful. I am so disappointed that LE didn't search beyond the 5 mile radius before scaling back the search efforts.
Downtown Nashville in all those honky tonks would be a great place for flyers!
Btw in this area of the US where Sebastian lives has copperhead snakes, cottonmouth snakes (lives near water) & rattlesnakes that are all very common to see on a regular basis if near the woods. I’d say his chances of finding a stray dog, a coyote or deer to follow into those woods would be higher than him running into a snake at night.
@@CharitysClarity I'm not far from there and have lived in the mountains most my life & you're correct they are not very active in Feb because there's still those cold spouts. There is a chance of him trying to take shelter in a place where one or a nest may have been though.
At this scale of notoriety, someone at facility would have dropped a silent dime by now if they had put him there without both parents authorization…at least I think someone responsible would “report what they know”
What is the proof for Sebastian’s scent at the construction site? Does anyone know?
About the scent hit by the pond

“Max was tracking a human scent only not specific to Sebastian’s scent. “
Was there a statement from TBI or why is it assumed he was at the construction site that day ?
I’m not completely sure. I have asked umpteen questions relating to the scent & the pond & had varying answers, however it appears the dog who tracked Sebastian’s scent to the pond had used Sebastian’s bedsheets. However please don’t take that as fact as I cannot find an ‘official’ answer.
All I know is, that pond is key in this investigation. Sebastian’s was tracked to the pond & listening to the dispatch audio, a LE officer said there were “footprints” not shoe prints so the theory he was bear foot appears to be correct.
No footprints were found of him exiting the pond & I know the pond has been drained but I would want that pond excavated. A thorough deep clearing is needed as he could be lying inches below that thick mud.
I didn’t find any statement from TBI about a positive scent hit. They spoke about no leads, no proof of him outside the house. Even if there was a scent of him by the pond or the construction site, it can be from another day.
It just feels we cannot conclude he walked out of that house alone. Other options should be considered, especially with the lack of urgency and actions from the mom.
Something is off with this case.

Michelle thank you so much for your insight on grief. My dear friend just learned that her 18 year old has been diagnosed with with terminal disease. He’s just about to start his life but now it’s going to do trials instead. It made my heart lighter knowing it’s OK to laugh about some of these silly story of him as a youngster. This is the only channel I watch regarding Sebastian. Even though I've been all over the place about what I've thought happened. Now I don't even care. We just need to find Sebastian.
Several moments in the stream were notable. Sebastian is struggling with growing up particularily the moustache amongst other changes. Its good that Katie is opening up as there could be a useful overlooked detail that could lead to Sebastian. I hope she gives out more detail of the 25th in particular😊

I’ve missed something…how do they know he was at the construction site?
Several of the police dogs trailed Sebastian’s scent to the retention pond at the construction site, one dog, Max, actually jumped right in the pond but then every dog lost his scent from there. So did he fall in & the mucky water masked his scent from there or did he get in a vehicle there? So many possibilities.. Who knows? 🤷🏻♀️
Did TBI confirm the scent was actually Sebastian’s?
If they did, is it sure the scent was from that day?

@@klc1694 it was drained by LE & the guys from Narked Divers also thoroughly dragged the pond. Unfortunately they didn’t find anything of value. It was only shallow apparently so even if he fell in, it wasn’t deep enough to drown in. Just bizarre to get a strong trail and then nothing!

When you talk about your family that aren't here anymore, the memories bring them alive for a second. You're there together, when you found it funny or sweet. At my mum's funeral, my friend came with me. She is petite and blonde and so was my mum. I'm 5'8" and brunette. So many came up to my friend to offer their condolences and she just went with it because she didn't know what else to do. We laughed and giggled and I thought how funny my mum would have found it. Grief is a strange one. My son is 8. He's a terrible loser!!

Family dynamics vary greatly from family to family. Not knowing anything about all of the reports to child protection services that were initiated by Sebastián kind of leaves us in the dark as too Sebastián's state of mind in the moment. There was also a new child coming into the family and this too causes a child to have confusion and s multitude of concerning thoughts. Faith coming into the home and Sebastián being sent away could have severely emotionally upset Sebastián. All of these changes could be the key to why Sebastián felt he wasn't wanted in the home. Praying that they find him alive and well.
This was a whole eulogy not a interview....not a single ounce of sadness or urgency in what he could possibly be suffering

If he walked around there a lot when he was left home alone, the opportunity for a predator to strike up a conversation or just get noticed by someone like that is more of a possibility. I dont think that is what happened, but many people hold this idea of a severely limited and isolated child that is just their stereotype of an autistic child who only had contact with people at school or home, and it’s a fantasy. Meh, I know this idea will never penetrate with those who’ve made up their mind that these parents are master criminals.
Just reminds me of Don and Candus laughing and joking on panels, enjoying their new found "friends" and "celebrity" status.
Then you should open your mind and heart to a world of equality justice, feel it, walk it and show it. You will feel so much better walking justly, instead of close minded.

Some people seem to think of Sebastian as a helpless little kid. No, he was 15 and a half years old when he went missing. I read his birthday is in July and he was 5' 5" tall and about 120 lb in weight..!

15 is old enough to start changing. My son at 14 reached over my head for something. His underarm was right in my face. I almost passed out lol. He's 36. I can remember that & laugh to myself. I told him his deodorant wore off teasingly

Oh gosh, yes, hearing Katie talk about his likes with animals, etc., I also really, really hope he is found alive & well..!☹️ For some reason I feel quite attached to this young boy. I don't normally become attached to any missing people, and I have had a life-long interest in Mystery, missing people, crimes, court cases and the likes..!
Sorry, I cannot devote hours to youtube channels but the bit I watched was a refreshing - and much needed - change of pace for this case. Katie gave us a good sense of Sebastian as a person and not as a victim. She's taken care of him for 15 years, been there for him, and was instrumental in his being able to accomplish many new traits as an autistic child growing up and assuming responsibilities. My guess, if she had it to do over, again, she would not have agreed to send Sebastian to Seth's home to live. I think that was the trigger for the teen. I think it's why he left.

I have not expressed any hate for her & cp. I have said and still do believe they know where he is and what happened. Sebastian was in his bedroom in the home where they live when he went missing.

I wish that all of the Proudfoot haters would take just a moment to realize that this discussion was not necessarily about getting information to you. Consider that it might be a necessary and healthy healing step for a shattered family. I’m glad that Katie felt comfortable despite knowing her every word would be dissected. Do you think she should consult you to see how many tears are acceptable? Do you think she should ask you what information you require so as to aleviate your suspicion? LE is not required to submit to your scrutiny when it means staying behind the scenes to wait for a suspect to emerge or a new lead to appear. Do better

Wow, I listened to the whole interview and the red flags I originally got from Katie have gone up tenfold! It's amazing how some people are able to read genuine people and others can't see they are being duped. This is the weirdest interview of a mother with a missing son that I have ever seen. And I fail to see where she is talking about Sebastian in a positive light, please someone point it out as I only heard info that we shouldn't have heard, like Katie wasn't prepared for a teenager and that he smells. From the same people that told us that Sebastian poops and pees himself 🙄

I’ve seen so many people laughing at funerals and wakes. They aren’t monsters. Many others fall apart in front of others. I’m more of an introvert, I save my breakdowns for when I’m alone, partly because I didnt grow up with a feeling of safety as a kid and partly because that is my personality.
