  • Wolfenstein 3D mod: "Ipank7000's Mapset" (60 new level) - Let's Play shtum - E3M4 - Episode 3 Level 4 (Floor 4, Mission 4) - Letsplay stumm (ECWolf as sourceport with enhancements*).
    ("shtum" or "stumm" means unmoderated)
Playing & testing the mod "Ipank7000's Mapset" as vanilla (=original looks, weapons, enemies & sounds) for registered Wolfenstein 3D (1992). Release of this mod with 60 level: Jul. 13th, 2011.
Difficulty: Bring 'em on! (Note: this mod is harder than orig. Wolf3D, par times are off here).

    *Features & enhancements | Verbesserung(EN) und Ergänzung(EN):
-utilizing a 4:3 aspect ratio for Wolfenstein 3-D inside a 720p60fps video frame. A wide FOV may look neat but I think it breaks the original feel. This game is about escaping a claustrophobic, deadly prison complex on edge, not enjoying a wide view.
-includes Wolfenstein 3D sprite fixes and rotations for ECWolf, "W3DSPF11", v.1.19.2 by PSTrooper, which works perfectly with the ECWolf sourceport v1.3.3 (PC). W3DSPF12 didn't work well, so I have stopped updating ECWolf and/or this fix again as I am happy with the look and with the stability.
-added a batch file / script before starting ECWolf that copies any available savegame(s) into the Windows 11 user folder before starting the game - and automatically backs them up when exiting the game in order to try out different mods (user levels & customizations) as all savegame files are shared between each mod with ECWolf in one fixed folder but aren't compatible and would need to be named individually.
The W3DSPF11 changes includes (quoted from the readme file, replaced "i" with "*" three times):
There's a glitch where BJ doesn't breathe in the intermission in Wolfenstein 3d. This is because the same graphic appears twice in the game files. This is fixed by taking the missing graphic from SoD and replacing the duplicate frame with it.
    HUD Face
Recolored out of place light blue pixel to the darker blue color in the top right corner of every face sprite to mesh with the hud better. I don't have a clue why that would purposefully be there since it's nowhere near the border to make for a good shadow.
    Guard
Renamed walking frames so the leg positions properly mirror in walking rotations.
    Colored all purple pixels to black in A5, C5, D8, E5, G1, H1.
Added missing rotations for attack animation from splitwolf with modifications by PSTrooper.
    Pain rotations by ArmanAhmadi.
    Dog
    Attack rotations by UnTrustable.
Pain rotations by PSTrooper. (Disabled by default, since dogs don't have pain states.)
    SS
Renamed walking frames so the leg positions properly mirror in walking rotations.
Colored all purple pixels to black in B8, C8, D8, the same way they were fixed in Doom II.
Mysterious light green pixel on foot in A6 colored black, it was fixed in Doom II and didn't exist in the alpha, so obviously a glitch.
Added missing rotations for attack animation from splitwolf and David G. with modifications by PSTrooper.
Pain rotations by PSTrooper and ArmanAhmadi.
    Mutant
Renamed walking frames so the leg positions properly mirror in walking rotations.
Added missing rotations for attack animation from splitwolf with modifications by PSTrooper.
    Pain rotations by PSTrooper.
    Officer
Renamed walking frames so the leg positions properly mirror in walking rotations.
Added missing rotations for attack animation from splitwolf with modifications by PSTrooper.
    Pain rotations by PSTrooper.
    Pac-Man Ghosts
Rotations by mallo. Shadows added to the rotations by PSTrooper.
    Fake H*tler
Added missing rotations from splitwolf with modifications by PSTrooper. Missing animations by PSTrooper.
    Hans
    Rotations by UnTrustable
    Schabbs
    Rotations by UnTrustable
    H*tler
    Rotations by UnTrustable
There is an empty space that shouldn't exist in the right leg of MECHH0, which I filled in with the lowest brown row in the right leg of HTLRA1 since H*tler himself coming out of the mech suit and HTLRA1 are essentially the same sprite. This was fixed in UnTrustable's version, but this way is more authentic.
    Giftmacher
    Rotations by UnTrustable
    Rocket
Renamed rotations of rocket to proper positions.
Added new front and back frames by UnTrustable with modifications by PSTrooper.
    Shifted A4 and A6 offsets down 1px.
Smoke and explosion offsets shifted 2px to left.
    Gretel
There were several blue spots on some of Gretel's sprites, which were obviously palette translation errors left over from Hans. Its very noticeable and obvious when the Hans and Gretel equivalent frames are stacked up next to one another for comparison.
    Rotations by UnTrustable
Colored blue pixels to black to match up to following frames in A1 and C1 .
Blue was colored to pink shades that match up to following frames in F1, G1, I0, J0, K0.
    Fettgesicht
    Rotations by UnTrustable

This was a really good game, have you played Doom and Duke Nukem too?
