You all did a WONDERFUL job!!
It is truly a shame that there are so many (hundreds more each year than there used to be) maulings/deaths each year from dog attacks...many children are not this lucky.

Sis. Caroline B I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who noticed that NOTHING was said about God. Doctors, EMTs, nurses, and other medical professionals are well, and they did a tremendous job for this little girl. Yet this is an SDA Christian institution, and if there is any place where they ought to acknowledge the REAL Source of Mariah's healing it ought to be at Loma Linda University. Praise God for the healing that He performed on this little girl's face. I wish the doctors (or somebody from the hospital) would have thanked God (not just some donors) for this miracle. I think many in our institutions are becoming like Hezekiah who received a visit from the Babylonians after being healed from what should have been a fatal disease. Yet instead of giving and honor to the God who performed the healing on his emaciated body, he simply showed the Babylonians what he had in his house. It is TIME WE CEASED BRAGGING ABOUT WHAT HE HAVE IN OUR HOUSE, OR HOSPITAL, OR MEDICAL SCHOOLS, OR MINDS, and gave credit and praise where praise is due, to God. This is not meant to condemn anybody, yet it should serve as a warning that the Babylonians came back and took all the stuff that Hezekiah showed them in his house, and if we're not careful the world could very well take all the creative and/or innovative medical discoveries that have come from Loma Linda University if we don't start giving the glory to God.

We have a family dog as well and I'm wondering what breed it was?

It doesn't matter what breed it is. You can't trust animals, no matter how domesticated you think your dog is, it's wild side will still kick in at some point in its life. Like turning on you or your little one.

+Vlad S. it absolutely matters. I wanted to know the breed not your comment. A small breed is not going to have the ability like a large breed and I don't expect a Golden Retriever to perform such an act. The breed matters your comment doesn't.

I think it would have been nice if they had acknowledged that God gave them the skills to perform such a feat. Glory to God for their abilities and training to bless this child with a new lease on life.

This was a FAMILY dog that did this??OMG poor babe. You should say what kind it was to warn other folks.

It doesn't matter what dog it is, their all animals and can turn on our little ones. You just never know, that's why we should never raise animals around our kids.

+Vlad S. Yes it does matter what breed did this. Not all dogs are monsters-Pits give all dogs a bad name.Good dogs and children go very well together but I do agree small children shouldn't be left alone with a dog.For the protection of both beings.

    • @theimpaler2317

+njbeachgirl100 not just pits, there's also Rottweilers, dobermans, Bulldogs, mastiffs etc..
Either way if a dog feels threatened it's more than likely gonna bite, it's in their nature, their animal instinct to protect themselves. So a little kid could be playing with a type of dog and grabs it the wrong way or something and the dog could bite them, you never know!

+Vlad S. Difference is a pit bite isn't the same as any other bite.Stop lumping all dogs together. Some dogs are wonderful family dogs, some aren't.My cocker could possibly leave a need for a band-aid, a pit could tear an arm off.People do need to learn the difference to keep their family safe.I was raised around dogs and so was my child.

After watching the video, but without reading the comments, I noticed what other two people did also: NO ONE acknowledged God or gave Him credit for what He helped them to accomplish. It shows that even though is an SDA hospital, they act as a secular institution that doesn’t have God in their work. Apparently is too much for them to give God the credit He deserves on what they do. Being the kind of institution it is, they should give the glory to God and not keep it for themselves.
