Remember when Lloyd was the only thing keeping up the light in Garmadon in seasons one and two? Remember when he wouldn't let any harm come to Lloyd no matter what? Yeah Lloyd would probably have died right there if Harumi wasn't a sadistic vengeful psychopath. That thing isn't Garmadon. It's more like a visual representation of what Harumi has become and at the same time everything Garmadon at his heart stood against.

Yeah, the biggest difference between this Garmadon and the one in Seasons 1-2 is that even the OG Dark Lord had redeeming and human qualities
