I'm going to take a guess and say an extra 7 of hearts is already turned over in the decks but hiding from view. The random cards they turn over and the original 7 of hearts sticks behind another card because there are carefully placed magnets inside the cards. If they flipped the spread out cards at the end, i reckon there's a 7 of hearts and a random card face up.
No magnets it's a gimmick deck "invisible deck" based on the rough/smooth principle.
You’re both wrong.
@@douglasedward4041 how and why are we wrong?.....would be very interested to hear because I know for a fact the method mentioned is exactly how it was done except no magnets and the rough/smooth method was used.
You never turned the deck over to see if they had backs, and you didn't now what or who was under the table.
If I could get one thing explained that Derren's done over his entire career, it'd be this one. I can see how he might have guessed Jane would choose 7 of hearts. When he says choose a colour, she's got red hair so red would be a fairly obvious choice. Hearts is more likely than diamonds, and when told to guess a number that's not 3, the most frequent guess would probably be 7. But that doesn't help at all, knowing in advance what the card might be. He went nowhere near the cards.
Gimmick cards, "invisible deck" based on the rough/smooth principle. It's a simple and very well known trick, it wouldn't have worked if they didn't do the shuffle under the table.
@@Stu81 Thanks - that does make sense. So my assumption that he led her towards choosing 7 of hearts was a key part of it too then.
@@veemacks7255 yes, well obviously it's derren so there a high chance he used multiple techniques to force the 7 of hearts, like you say when given the choice to pick 1 to 10 and denied 3 as a choice 7 is highly likely, choice of hearts or diamonds could have been suggested before filming started when he spoke to them, maybe talking about things like love ect.
I know how he did it.
You missed a trick there Mr B... You could've convinced Mr Ross to try and become a human.
😂🤣😅
Only took 52 takes... (!)
Harsh.
Derren is very good. You didn't notice that they could pick any card rank between 1 and 10 except 3.
2704 in that case
