The Mule
Verse 1
I am a mule, I cannot conceive.
I live in Bethlehem, my life is peaceful and mild, so mild.
One day my life changed, it's hard to believe,
this couple entered my barn and gave birth to a child.

Their baby was laid in my manger.
A quiet birth, a carpenter, with his humble bride.
The shepherds and the kings came to pay homage.
I was just happy that I was by their side.
Verse 2
Why did this couple come to sleep in my stable?
They travelled from Nazareth, four days walk if you're strong, so strong.
Mary was with child, yet she was able.
Was it Joseph that gave her strength, and helped her along (CHORUS)
