Hahaha, it was poor legroom but I was pointing it out more because I can tell the difference and imagine it would make a fair difference for taller people.
I wouldn't touch that airline - or Virgin - again. Low cost carriers are, as you said "As expected". If one wants to sit with the bogan mob like on a flight to Bali, then you'll be happy. I'll enjoy my GandT in the Qantas lounge before my flight where people don't walk around with eftpos machines on the flight.
If you have the money then I understand why people don't fly low-cost carriers, but I think it's important to have them to keep prices down and for people who can't always afford to fly a full service carrier.
