I had the original SU magnetic plate, not the newer one that they removed from purchasing. I then purchased the Amazon plate hoping it would be better than the original SU one, but it worked just the same with random magnetic areas and NOT full magnetic plate coverage. I returned it to Amazon. Just wish I had ordered the 2nd SU plate before they removed it as there were lots of people who were having no problems with it.
I loved the idea of the SU full magnetic plate. My warped beyond being able to continue using it. So, I'm back to the Sizzix Magnetic Platform and have adapted well to it by how you see me drop the die to find magnet(s) to hold the die. I'm much more accurate than previously. I'll keep using it until I can find a full magnetic platform. So much better than using tape to hold my dies in place.
@@stampingsmiles someone mentioned to me a while back and wondered if you couldn’t replace a strong magmatic sheet in place of the thin die adapter. If I had such sheet I would try that. Maybe one of those from that stamp place that sells all kinds of stamp organizers. Those seem to be very strong magnetic sheets.
