Great job trying to break down the barrier to entry into miniature painting! You have some sound advice throughout, the best tip was that it doesn't have to be perfect for it to be fun and rewarding. Just like anything, if you keep at it, you will learn all kinds of things and grow and improve. Well done on the video and I hope you have fun playing with those nicely painted miniatures! Keep up the great work and thank you for your efforts to encourage and inform people in the hobby.
Thank you so, so much for see what I'm trying to do here my friend! Tje step from not painting minis to actually do it always seems to be so far apart because we want perfection, but does it need to be? You are always so supportive and encouraging, thank you!
@@JendersGaming I just received ISS Vanguard and need to paint the minis and the section boxes. I think this paint will work very well, especially on the section boxes, which have a large surface area. I have had a go at using standard acrylic paints and am very slow!
Not every painted mini need to win an award, or be the best painted mini. It needs to be as good as it need to be. I have been painting for 30 years. Your minis, and the use of speed paint (or contrast paint etc) are great for the purpose they fill, not being beige plastic. Most of my boardgame minis look just like yours, while my 40K minis looks better, becouse i spend hours on every 40k mini compared to board game minis. So i approve, and i really like your result! =)
So true my friend! That Is how I see it as well! I want them tabletop ready and that is it. Some games I do put down more time in and really do the best I can but not all of them :)
@@JendersGaming tabletop ready or battle ready is good enough in 99% of all cases imo. That is always a milestone for every mini i paint, be it a whole new "army/unit" for 40K, or a new tabletop game. Get every thing painted to table ready. When thats done, i can take my time and start adding or refine the models with different layers of highlight and shadows etc at my own pace. With that said your minis looks great, most of them above what i would call tabletop ready, and thats the great thing with speed paint/contrast paints. Its inspiring so its a no brainer for me to sub! =)
I'm actually working on painting the game myself and it's be a blast and it has gotten me into the whole miniature hobby. I'm using the speed paints and I've found it to be great for me starting out as a new painter. The speed paints have forced me to be very deliberate about where I place my paints.
That's awesome my friend! Have you come far or just started? Yeah the speed paints are a little bit tricky to use in the start but when you get used to them they get the job done quite fast 😀
Great video and great paintjob! 😊👌🏼 I'm also a huge fan of the speedpaints. Although my collection is still small i plan of buying more of their paints. They're great for beginners and even for experienced painters. Take care, my friend and keep on painting. Greetings from Germany 🤘🏼
Thank you!! I love it! Love to hear about other passionate mini painters out there! Yeah, the speed paints are just great and make a huge difference in the art of painting minis! All the best to you to mate! keep on painting! 😀
Good video!. I don't like so much the colours you chose cause I usually like a darker look, but hey! Much better than playing without painting them. Great job and great game. Enjoy it! 😀
Thank you mate! Happy you liked it! Ah yeah we all do like different colours, I like lighter because it becomes more visual or the table and easier to see all the minis :)
Hello, I really like your energy and your video :) Really great Video and Painting skills 💪🏼 I already painted 6 Figures and ordered on Saturday my Speedpainter set, because of Descent 😊 I played already 3 scenarios and I love this game!!! I love to paint but it takes really long. I am so excited with the new paints. Have a nice day :)
This makes me super happy to read my friend! So nice to hear about your progress, just keep on going and in the end, you will reach your goal of having it all painted! It looks so good when it's all out onntje table done and the speed paints help a lot! :😀
I really like the colors you chose. Lighter colors are more readable on tabletop. I have someone who painted these miniatures in datk tones, and the result are not good when playing. I enjoy miniatures that peps out

Thank you! I feel exactly the same! I like when you can see the minis clearly on the table so you don't need to search for them all the time haha
Wow pintaste todo solo usando ese set de colores
Yes my friend :)
That's a looot of minis.
Haha yes sure is! 40 minis!
I have these quick paints also, haven't tried them yet.
The end result looks quite nice.
Ah nice mate! You should give it a try, it's not that hard 😀 thank you!!
