Solid backup. Have to remember hes young and learning an entire new system under a brand new coaching staff. Me personally im impressed for how little we traded for him.
@@Drew-de2rc At this point, it might not be a bad idea. Howell's first year as a starter was far better than Geno's first 2 years as a starter in the NFL. Letting Howell start now would give Seattle a clear picture on what they have going into the offseason, help them make decisions on either extending Geno again or letting him go and saving 25 million in cap space. Geno is aging and regressing big time since his first year starting in Seattle.
@@Drew-de2rc I mean, Sam Howell could end up being the next Sam Darnold. Howell is only 24, he played one season on a terrible team that gave up 65 sacks, had a tiny fraction of the weapons Seattle has now, and had no run game. Howell was having to force everything in hopes of making something happen. After week 10, Howell still led the league in passing, and ended with 21 TD's and 21 INT'S, 9 more TD's than Geno's first year and the same amount of INT's. Howell also has a very strong arm, he threw 59 mph at the combine, 4th fastest throw since 2008, he's also a very capable and scrappy runner. Seeing what Howell can do with DK, JSN, Lockett, Fant and Walker would be smart, as the only thing that is an absolute certainty is that Geno is not taking Seattle anywhere, period.

He is definitely the type of player that could go 2-2 if Geno is out for 4 games or something
Your starter should be backing him up.
@@jayov4044 how cute are you, how long have you been waiting to say that? 6-7 weeks?

He did that without D.K. and T.L.
HE IS GOOD
We need Sam Howell right now. Geno ain't the guy. Sam will turn this around for us.
