    This presentation of The Winter Rose - An Advent Cantata, was presented by the St. Elmo UMC Worship Choir, December 16th 2018. The Winter Rose was premiered in New York City at Carnegie Hall by the St. Elmo UMC Worship Choir and select other choirs from around the world on Monday, November 26, 2018 under the direction of Mr. Joseph M. Martin as part of the Distinguished Concerts International New York's 10th anniversary season (DCINY).
    The St. Elmo United Methodist Church Worship Choir is under the direction of Keith Walker.
    Soloists: Debi Crabtree, Soprano and Keith Walker, Tenor
    Pianist for select songs of the evening is Rebecca DeBord.
    Narration provided by St. Elmo UMC's Pastor, Mr. Gary Ihfe.
    The Winter Rose by Joseph M. Martin is a beautiful musical creation telling the story of the life of Christ from prophesy to the passion. The narration, written by Pamela Martin, guides you through Christ’s life with traditional carols, newly composed anthems and simple symbolism.

    around 22:00 when the Sopranos, Altos and Tenors sing "God's love to Show" - WOW, the harmony is perfectly beautiful.

    At about 44:36 when the women go into the 4 part harmony, I swear it is something straight out of Sister Act when the nuns are singing so angelically. This is one of my favorite parts. Great job SEUMC Choir!!!!
