Hahaha I’m guilty of a similar net years ago. It was still almost brand new and I gave it to a kid fishing off the pontoon. He loved it so it was a win for both of us 😂
Hahaha yeah I need to but there are no long handle medium environets in my local so I need to wait. I won’t use the others as they shred the fishes fins and tail and are no good for catch and release..
Another great video Mick. I live in Melbourne and I get up there a bit to see my mate in Slade Point. We’ve fished Mccreadys creek a few times with live bait, lures and bait but never had much luck. Any tips for this creek? Love ya work.
I grew up in sladey fishing mccreadys, it can be real tough at times, I always had the best luck there when the low tide is real early in the morning like before 6am or late evenings after 5:30. It’s a sandy creek with clean water so the fish can be finicky hence the low light periods…
I rate the environet over the rubber nets as the meat doesn’t tear the fishes fins, I’m off this one because the handle is so short and you can’t reach the water without bending down and with the finer mesh they create too much drag so you can’t scoop the fish nor lead them to the net…
@Micksgonefishing definitely designed for fish health and less impact but the short handle is the downfall and I've not seen one with a longer handle yet , my net is still in good shape also with no rot and has not started falling apart at all like others usually do so longevity from the environets is fantastic, short handle with amount of drag produced is not user friendly , I think the first net came out when Rex hunt was still kissing fish bro ha ha

Mick you need to “accidentally” leave that net at the boat ramp 😂🍺🍺
Hahaha as soon as I can buy one with a longer handle I’ll do it but until then, it’s all I got 😅😂
Yep that net needs replacing.

Those clips for changing lure looks way better than re tieing where did you get em from
They’re a new thing from BKK mate, not sure they’re in stock yet but they can be special ordered from your local dealer…
what is the official name of that 55cm silver fish (looks like bream), grinder, runner etc? thanks, Mick
It’s a grunter, or javelin fish! Good fight and tasty 👌🏻
@@Micksgonefishing never seen it in NSW, good one, mate, thanks
Hey mate do you rekon you could do a short video on your sounder scroll speed and settings etc?
I’ll try to keep you all in the loop each video 👌🏻
Buy a environet he says ..... i bought the first one out and it still lives in the rafters of my shed 😂😂😂 gets the biggest water drag in it ha ha
They the worst landing net ever. They are like a wind sock.

See big push now on the resin heads there back Furness for big grunter 😂 .
I hadn’t noticed but yeah, I want to put some time into the bigger grunter, they usually pull hard and taste good!

Going to score myself a Conquest..whats similar on the australia market for us regular plebs to the conquest Mickoz??
They bring the conquests into oz, just not the Hg… the low geared reel doesn’t suit how I fish 😞
@@Micksgonefishingso where would we get the HG version from??
@@zekeydoodle there are a few different stores online but you’ll need to check regularly as they’re commonly out of stock..
@@Micksgonefishing yeah ok cheers, will have a look
What is your favourite day/moon to fish mate?
3 days before the full is my favorite 👌🏻
👍
✌️
💪🏻
What creek mick?
Local Creek ✌🏻👌🏻
What reel?
Conquest DC 100HG
Rarely do any good on high tide, then again I'm pretty terrible at estuary fishing in general
Yeah definitely not my favorite moon to fish either
Conquest DC vs 21 Conquest ? Much of a difference?
Smaller reel and I prefer the non DC for distance casting…
@@Micksgonefishing cheers. just got my first 21 conq it's so smooth
