Hello! Welcome to another Cage Culture inside look video! This one for UFC 307, Alex Pereira vs Khalil Rountree Jr. With Pereira’s next level success in such a short amount of time, he’s become the face of the game given the current landscape. With his wild level of activity we knew it wouldn’t take long for him to take another fight, although most of us expected it to be against Magomed Ankalaev. But the UFC went a completely different route which regardless of why, we are still presented with a very fun matchup here at UFC 307. Khalil Rountree wasn’t expected to be Pereira’s next opponent but stylistically this is a guaranteed firework show! Two explosive and powerful strikers going at it and someone is bound to get KO’d. I told no lies. Ankalaev did call for the fight in Abu Dhabi but he doesn’t call the shots. I don’t think that’s why it didn’t happen but oh well. Pereira vs Rountree is the matchup here💯

Incase anyone wants to know why it isn’t ankalaev it’s cause Alex wants a full training camp for him and he said he’ll be ready to fight November/ preferably December. Being that the fight is in October I’m sure the ufc gave him a striking matchup to come back early
Could be travel issues for Ankalaev too maybe idk. Seemed like him and Alex both wanted the fight but who knows. This fight doesn’t make sense at the moment but it’s still a fun one that will end by KO I’m 99% sure😂
