Hi! I was thinking of buying the CT-S200 but found this a lot better. Though it's obviously more expensive but the sound it produces amazes me so much. I am a beginner, do you think I would be a good choice to buy this? 61 tones is enough for a beginner I guess... I don't play on bands that use tones for gimmicks. I just want to play it myself and enjoy music during special occasions. Would you recommend this CT-S1? Or do you have other recommendations that suit my needs? Thanks.
Been following for a long while and I still stand with my previous statement: your channel is seriously underrated, I see a big future for you my good sir.
More than bang for the buck, it’s bang, bang, banging, bang, bang, banging for the buck. Your review is excellent. I enjoy my red one. My very first keyboard I purchased in 1965 at a music store in San Francisco. It was a Farfisa combo. Then it was 600.00……I have bought and played many since. The CT-S1 is Awesome to say the least. Yes 1965 was not a typo.
Got a CTS-1 for the sheer quality of the sounds.... can't be beat for that at the price and they've done a great job on the keybed too... great vid review as usual Jeremy 👍
If this is the Casio ct-s1…. I just bought it as well and LOVE it. It’s gonna allow me to do something I’ve been wanting to do for a while which is play outside!
I’ve recently purchased a Casio CT-1S after doing a lot of research, looking for a compact 61 keyboard with good sounds. Your videos have helped immeasurably and as such felt I could buy one with confidence. Many thanks 👍
Thank you for the review. I decided to buy this one after seeing your performance. I am using it to practice gospel music. I am a beginner, but o want to learn to play the piano to worship God
It's a good value if you only intend to play and you're happy with the limited amount of tones (patches/voices) and unweighted keys are good enough. A good option for education purposes. Thanks for sharing.
After 2 years I finally bought this keyboard, as a beginner it sounds so good for me... And I like the keys... And It runs on battery... Thank you Jeremy, your review is very helpful
Hey Jeremy, what is your favorite sustain pedal to take around with the CT-S1? Any good recommendation for one that doesn't feel cheap but also doesn't weigh too much?
Hi Jeremy nice demonstration as usual. Thanks for doing a showcase of some of the sounds found in the CT-S1 palette. I particularly liked the following (and wished I had them on my CT-X800): Classical Grand, Stage E. Piano, Amp 60’s E. Piano, Velo Organ, Amp Organ, Cathedral Organ, Tape Flute and Synth Brass. If the CT-S1 (very cool looking with the guitar strap I must say 😎) has now become your portable keyboard of choice for Church meetings, what has become of your faithful Yamaha PSR S650? The Bluetooth functionality is very welcome. It is a pity, though, that it is not included in the keyboard itself, such as the digital audio interface in the Yamaha PSR E373 and E453/453. Looking forward to the next vid 👍
I think it is worth to wait a little to afford this one, you just made the case very well and I see no reason to settle for less. It's going to be my first keyboard and your videos have clarified the thing very well, I'm thankful!! Wish you well
I'm glad to see honest reviews like these instead of the "this is cheap trash, mine's better cos it's expensive with features even I don't need hahaha" ones left by some rearholes.
Thank you, Jeremy! You have done a number of reviews on the Ct-S1 and glad that you did. Now I'm completely decided to buy Ct-S1 once it becomes available in my area. Thanks for the valuable info. Great channel
Well Thanks for this, you persuaded me to buy one, I got it on Wednesday and just love the sounds. It is ideal for me foe extra practice, I have a FP30 in the loft, some of the sounds on this are better too.
It's a great keyboard everyone knows and wishes to buy one but the problem is its AVAILABILITY! It's not coming to India at least till next year I've heard
Damn! I hope you're wrong man. Where did you hear this from ? I tried to contact Casio India by phone and email. everyone just replied that they don't know. I hope it launches soon. Can't really pull myself to like any other entry level models after seeing these (CT-S1 and CT-S400)
I'm just here to thank you. I am an absolute beginner. And started my journey 7 months ago, with a Yamaha NP-12. But realized pretty quickly, that I needed to upgrade to 88 keys, for my goals. So based on your recommendation and my unfortunately rather tight budget, I picked up a Casio CDP-S 100. And I love it so far. So, thank you so much, for everything you do from a new subscriber. Much love from Germany.🙏🎹
I have a question. Is there any other casiotones that when you play a song from the song bank you can change the instrument tone? I've got the 2006 lk-100 and that's my favorite feature, I have a ctk-2400 too and I want to get an mt-240, CT-640, and MT-100.
This may be a good beginner's keyboard for students and practice at home. Since I’m happy with my Casio CT-X 3000, I’m waiting for the Casio to make a more powerful and versatile, more comfortable keyboard, as the entire Casiotone series is more aimed at the younger population. The sounds are also not that bad considering the price.
Need 3- 4 watt speakers. I push down on piano key I get a sound touch response on this get nothing more velocity is required just another thing a beginner needs to master. My hitting on a flat sharp or any key really with pinky its weak sound if cross over with another finger its too loud. And not equal to white keys played in sequence. So unbalanced with volume between them. Don't matter soft regular or heavy. I have to admit it's with the CTX700 but suspect same with this gonna keep trying to learn on my old CT-625
I just found that my Casio LK-S450 has the same AiX engine that the CT-S1 has... no sure if they sound the same but the 450 sounds better than my Yamaha EZ300
I want to start learning keyboard. i am confused between casio s1 and korg liano 88key. Korg is just double the amount of casio s1. What do you suggest? Go for korg or start with casio s1 and once i get good enough then go for something much better than korg liano. Or just getting a korg liano would be sufficient till long time. Will be just playing for myself and maybe with friends while chilling.
im really confused, because it is a lot of piano, keyboard also, and it is also have kind of number on keyboard , like CT-S200WE, and so on... and im really confuse for choosing keyboard that really suitable for a beginner, so could u please recommend me, i mean brand like casio, but have lot of different settings, maybe like we can record sound, cheap price, and very suitable for a beginner
Thanks Jeremy very informative, I’m stuck between this and the Yamaha reface CP. which has better EP sounds in your opinion? Is it worth getting the CP, I like the action on this board?

is there an alternative to the midi bluetooth adaptor? or does cts1 only work with the casio brand adaptor? it’s quite hard to find where i live

Setting the Touch to Heavy for the Acoustic Piano improves the dynamic control in this case.
Is it easy tofind out how to do this? The manual is a bit confuuusing to me
Hi Jeremy. Can you connect a bluetooth headset to the Casio CT-S1? Thanks
