@@bejam3661 drill and blast is one solution used by NATM. NATM in essence is finding solutions as the tunneling progresses, if the geology allows you drill and blast, if not you find and utilize other methods. Only thing that is not part of NATM is using a tbm.
Unfortunately how and where certain methods are used could and do result in unwanted events. I hope those trapped are reached and saved as soon as possible.
