      To be fair, it's also a lot of strain on the Ling player themselves. At least in my experience.

    This makes me realize im not as bad at tekken as I thought I was but I could use some improvement lol ( I play tekken 7 not 8 idk why I compared myself to this video when its a whole different game 😓 )

    All these mixups are so masterful. They give me max level stress and pressure and I’m not even your opponent

    That reina was very unlucky with all those whiffs. 😢 And she played really well. I honestly don't know what she could do there to win against your (I'm very sorry) cancer character. 😂😂

      CANCER 😭😭

    • @raidennc

      1. They weren't "unlucky". Castigate played well and capitalized on gaps in matchup knowledge
      2. Your phrasing makes it sound like the matchup is unwinnable. Which it isn't. No matchup in this game is like that
      3. If you genuinely don't know what could've been done differently that's fine, but blaming the character rather than looking critically at the mistakes and what genuinely could've gone better is a limiting mindset.
      The more the match went on the more Castigate picked up on this Reina's lack of matchup knowledge. You said the Reina "played well" but as someone who understands both characters, I'm seeing where the approach wasn't right for the matchup. (To be fair, the Reina player seems strong, but unfamiliar with Ling)

      @@raidennc this character is fucking broken hopefully you're not arguing with that. Matchup knowledge, no matchup knowledge, you're always in a huge advantage as a ling if you play against reina.

    • @stanislavchugunov
      @stanislavchugunov 2 месяца назад

      @@raidennc oh now I see why you're defending this bulls1t. You're a Ling player. Understandable. 😂

    • @raidennc
      @raidennc 2 месяца назад

      @@stanislavchugunov I don't know enough about Reina to know if it's a bad matchup or not. I'm gonna assume for the sake of argument that it is unfavorable.
      Still doesn't make what I'm saying wrong.
      Also, I am a Ling player (not a Ling main tho). I said that before. Which means that I also understand the character. I actually like fighting against Ling with other characters, even ones that are on paper very bad matchups (I also play Leo). This is because I know the matchup and the mindsets you typically find with Ling players. There are always good and bad matchups in every game. But matchups in Tekken aren't nearly as determined as they are in 2D games. There is always a way to win. Which is the main thing I was pointing out (that you disregarded because I'm a Ling player). You could argue that I'm biased...while I can argue that I understand the character's strengths and weaknesses enough to give good analysis. Depends on if you're focused on learning/winning or complaining.
      Again, being a Ling player doesn't make what I'm saying wrong.
      I'm also going to argue that not only is Ling NOT broken, but that NO character in this entire game is TRULY broken. There are top tiers and bottom tiers (like in every game) but the distance between the top and bottom is shorter than it is ever been and every character has crazy stuff somewhere. I have been playing Tekken for a very long time and I can say very confidently that the current state of Tekken 8 is more balanced than basically any other Tekken in history. You can't name a game/iteration that is more balanced than this. I promise.
      You will also say that bc I am a Drag main my statement is invalid, but again, that doesn't make what I'm saying wrong.
      Lastly, I don't know anything about you or your skill in the game. Maybe you're really good. Maybe not. But when you say "the Reina player played well and I don't know what they could've done about your cancerous character" and I point out "well, they did make some mistakes" and you counter with "the character is broken" and "you're a Ling player so your opinion is invalid" (paraphrase) then that seems like you are more interested in complaining than winning. Which is fine. It's your right to do it. I'm just gonna also say that is the mindset of someone who isn't really thinking about growing as a player or about learning to win in general. Which again, is your right to do. But it gives your complaints less ground to stand on and by definition becomes a skill issue.
