Monsoon was the goat because he was one of the only pros who would actually stream scrims. He’d mute when talking through mistakes but it was so cool getting to actually see what was happening in scrims and who was doing well.
The level of competition keeps rising, and it was the first time most international teams could play with a full roster and not subs. Truly one of the most competitive tournaments so far.
people forget just how respected complexity was.. worlds edge they literally ran the entire northeastern section of the map. Teams would avoid dropping anywhere near that area, forget directly challenging them as they would loot and wipe your squad out immediately. That guaranteed them on alot of zones multiple points before 3rd zone and easy placement points after that. They were so dominant
Just hasn’t ended up on the right roster yet in ALGS, but ya never know where he might end up after champs, i wish the best for this dude, he so deserves it
Awesome video bro! I love how you highlight stories that not every fan will know, and how you give credit to the hard working players who deserve to be recognized!
No lie I was expecting to see somebody cheated or got banned but this video literally made my day. I just really hope he never gives up and I hope one day he lifts that trophy high above his head
Dude this OG streamers is the goat shoutout to shroud for raiding him, shoutout do DrDis for raiding Shroud. I didnt know Monsoon life was this tough before, big respect to him for putting that hard work for the passion and what he loves!!!!
You did touch upon it but it needs to be highlighted that Complexity invented the Gibby meta, which is the longest lasting meta in Apex lasting even longer than Wraith.
Quick note: I was in Monsoon's stream when the shot happened (was editing for his teammate Zachmazer at the time). Shroud didn't raid him after that shot, people were flocking because they wanted to see if he was legit/wanted to praise him. If he raided him, it wasn't after the shot, he was thanking Shroud for the praise because of all the people coming over from Shroud's stream on their own (thousands coming over)
First off, whats up Mike! Ik you've been an editor for a bunch of the top Apex creators for a while, preciate the comment. Second, I recall in my research I had found it was a raid and why I said that, but maybe what I found was wrong. Actually makes the whole situation much more astonishing that many people flocked in from one clip, pretty cool!
Appreciate it! I've had the pleasure of talking to some of the admins on the comp reddit and they've even shared my video there. I plan on posting this but was waiting due the influx of LAN content.
monsoon is the goat. ill never forget dying to coL in the summer circuit on kc, and after a 3v3 fight we lost and watched them drop like 30 kills. it was cool back then, you just had to make it to round 2\3 and half the lobby was pro teams. rooting for coL!
I got teamed with that ishiny guy in a pub once. Easiest win I ever had. Dude was just going around so fast killing everyone. To them three stacking pubs must be a cakewalk.
That reminds me of back in season 0 when I got teamed with sickks, who is now 100Ts coach. Insane game and then it was crazy to go seem him win an online ALGS tourney with Wigg lmfao.
Monsoon was IS should I say one of the best players! I remember him stating about the teams that had their skin in the pro scene growing and CoL falling off! But that boy Lewda geez with Monsoon good things so come
You should do a rise & fall of Lou. 0:42 With his wife? Sheesh homegirl was down af! Apex Solos changed people's lives bro .. Respawn won't bring it back 😫
Bro to be honest, I really didn’t wanted to subscribe you but after watching a couple of your videos it made me think man. Good content and genuine efforts bro, keep on putting genuine content like this man 😇😇
Phenomenal video. And how awesome is shroud btw? that’s such good Gas from someone so highly respect in the community complimenting his game play and raiding him very cool
You can't play ultra aggressive and have continued success in Apex. Other teams adapt. It's happened time and time again. Complexity, Sentinels, Furia, Aurora, Fire Beavers, all once considered the best fighting team in their region have seen success then fallen off the face of the earth. It generates a greater level of variance that you can't sustain in a positive manner when other teams adjust their play style to counter.
my son euriece one's one of the best player in apex, team up with hill and rkn,but things didnt go well for him when ALGS finals is about to happen,he suppose to go US but doesnt have a visa coz during that time he's 18 and holding a PR in canada...so torrent gave up on him
People forget it's a BR sometimes. Without luck and good loot you can be the best player in the world but you'll still have bad games on Apex or any BR really.
Monsoon was the goat because he was one of the only pros who would actually stream scrims. He’d mute when talking through mistakes but it was so cool getting to actually see what was happening in scrims and who was doing well.
mande also streams them
if Sweet streamed everything, more people would have eyes on him and consider him the goat way more
Verhulst does now too. Big E lol
Hal?
I've been watching scrims for years?
I feel like this LAN was legendary so many good players

Because he hasn't done anything good in the past 3 years
Gay manga boylove anime porn does that to you.
This give me hiswatson vibes they both did there best to get into gaming and found success because they had a playstyle no one had seer/bloodhound
Yup very similar story of players succeeding by not following the norm!
Being a scout character was innovative?
@@agentcodybanx8909at that time in the meta yes it was

Love for this sunny big boy, always one of the best player I’ve ever watched.
You did touch upon it but it needs to be highlighted that Complexity invented the Gibby meta, which is the longest lasting meta in Apex lasting even longer than Wraith.
They aren't the reason Gibby was still good, he hardly gets nerfed and the maps favored his kit. That why you see him fall in and out of meta.
@@agentcodybanx8909 first to use to him comp, nobody else was running him.

Such a great story
Love the video, Mon deserves this. He's such a good dude.
Monsoon is a beauty, great video!
Monsoon really do look like the homeless bird lady from Home Alone
everything that i heard about complexity was that they were the best 3v3 squad for the longest time
monsoon is the goat. ill never forget dying to coL in the summer circuit on kc, and after a 3v3 fight we lost and watched them drop like 30 kills. it was cool back then, you just had to make it to round 2\3 and half the lobby was pro teams. rooting for coL!
Mon is an amazing person
Super underrated thought you had over a million subs until you said you were trying to hit 100k subs
Watching this now when he is again going to land with a insane sentinel kill streak makes it more emotional , jumba u need to do one more on him
In the edit you showed muffinz when you were introducing ishiny but great video man. You should do a video on Sweet haven't seen one
I always get them confused 🤦♂️
@@JumbaGW Yeah all good my man it happens
Much love dude 🥹
monsoon the goat, sad they didn't make top 20 split 2 lan but they did make it top 30, which qualifies them for champs, looking forward
You made a good video abt monsoon and I never clicked subscribe so fast
Haha I appreciate it ❤️ glad you enjoyed
Wow voice of an angel 3:48😢
I would love a vid on Mendo Liquid, my man I would mainly watch for IGL tips at the time and I personally felt like was such a hidden gem.
I may focus on some of the current players right now, but maybe one day I will do a video covering some of the OGs that don't play anymore!
love the breakdown great video!
Really good storytelling skills
Very well structured video!
To me, he's still the best. What a legend

You're dam right bro good old monsoon man such a wholesome guy
Amazing video and amazing channel
Amazing job, could you do a full competitive lore of algs? Expecially for guys like me who started watching algs from LAN events and not before
Something like that may be cooking up
The key is not give up. Discipline is required
Love to see it.
Absolutely love monsoon. He is the reason I watch and play apex
Not a big fan of Monsoon. But man! I respect his grind! The guy is so chill as well.
He did today baby hahahahaha monsoon my dude
Waiting for all the channels to post their lan analyses :p

Ahh monsoon from homeless to professional in apex legends such a cool story
My favorite player and my favorite team
Realm Royale was so much fun.
So did him and his team win? Where is he today
that complexity team was dominant
to clarify the one w lou and reptar
damn that original flyquest team was goated, monsoon lou zach
Monsoon da goat
Monsoon has a good ass voice wtffff
real ones know about NRG Dizzy
Complexity prime was when bloodhound was meta
New Team - Albralelie, HisWatson & Monsoon. make it happen!
Aha i doubt CoL is gonna break up and I need to double check but I think they qualified for champs so they got another LAN coming up!
hiswattson doesnt want to play comp anymore
Albralelie joins FURIA.....so close....so close..
I don't know if Apex has movement like Titanfall lol. I can accept that it's in the same universe, but the movement isn't the same lol.
I will be honest since I admire his skills. He needs a fking good IGL.
He needs a good team with a good IGL and controller player.
Also a good POI.
Santa Cruz boys !
Then there's Hal... goated

People forget it's a BR sometimes. Without luck and good loot you can be the best player in the world but you'll still have bad games on Apex or any BR really.
Exactly, it's why i find it so funny that the fans shit on certain teams when they aren't doing well.. there's so many variables in apex it's insane.
Nope 👎 false narrative. There's a reason that there has been 5 lans but only two teams to ever win them. 3 times tsm, 2 times DZ.
10% comes down to luck. Can have the best loot best players but if zone is nowhere near you your fucked regardless. Your right in a way!
