Oh man! Wow! Honestly, the way that pilot UW control decks should be a subject at MTG University. I say this with the utmost respect! Your decision to counter that Demonic Tutor against the Show and Tell deck and your flawless play against the Merfolk deck were truly a sight to behold! As a fellow UW control player, here are some key takeaways for me: Divine Purge: This card is incredibly powerful in the current metagame. It clears out all the cheap artifacts (and artifact lands), Bowmasters, Deathrite Shamans, Lurus, Winota decks, URO(!)-basically all the annoying, broken cards. Plus it gains flash with 3Feri ! Leyline Binding: This card seems indispensable. One mana to remove anything at instant speed is just too strong for UW, especially with a suite of counterspells and the consistent card draw from The One Ring. Plus, you can remove it if needed with LB. Sunset Revelry: I’m genuinely impressed by this card. It performed exceptionally well against everything except Show and Tell, which is expected. Overall, this is the deck I would build if Horizons 3 wasn't coming soon . I can't wait to see what you'll cook when the new sets are released. Control Guy, you monster of a player, I salute you. Hi ! Glad to finally see someone into classic UW on Timeless ! Build an Esper myself, which is a UW with splash black for Push and Orcish, and it's doing pretty good ! I'm so excited to have access to Solitude, and at the same time, afraid of Grief which kind of destroys us ? Maybe it will be time for a full square of Leyline of Sanctity 😅 I can't wait to see your brews with MH3 cards ! Cheers from France !
