About Coach Shanita:
Shanita is a first-generation Indo-Guyanese gyal born and raised in Queens, NY. Her career path includes international community-building events for families, college success results for youth, and pro salsa dancing. She is a certified life coach accredited through the ICF's Leadership That Works: Coaching For Transformation program.
She also lived in Hong Kong for a year as a Fulbright Scholar, and proudly serve as Chief Energy Officer at Coach Shanita, Inc., as well as enjoy my roles as mom of 3 warriors, author, speaker on TED.com, and artist among other fun things.
Back in 2015 while sitting on the New York City subway, She broke down in tears from major burnout. It wasn’t cute having passengers stare while she was sobbing in the corner seat on her way to work. She had become a broken robot and could barely function. Coaching reconnected she to her courage, power, and strength. The coach gave she a place to be seen and heard. Shanita felt so much more confident in my life, she felt ready to take on changes.
Shanita knew that if coaching could help she break free from the shackles she had created in my life, that were creating her own suffering, then she could support other women like myself to free themselves, to find THEIR courage, and power, and strength.
