Hope my story helps someone.👜 The ONLY place I will buy preloved items from is Fashionphile. If you are in the market. I’ve bought, sold, returned, and had no issues with them. But The Real Real I’m SOOO done with.
I had a bad experience with them as well. I bought a Hermes scarf for about $250 ( retail was about twice that). The scarf was listed as “pristine” condition with box (the box added about $40 to the cost). I received my scarf, thrown into a beat up cardboard box, no packing material, no tissue paper and no Hermes box! To add insult to injury, the scarf had small stains on it as well. It was listed as final sale, but I was able to get my money back because the item was not as listed. Luckily, I also document everything and had screen shots of the listing and pics of what I received. Never again.
Your video is the 2nd video I watched that has a horrible story with The Real Real. The other woman showed us her purse that was painted over with actual paint. This is a horrible company.
If you can't afford designer bags and feel a certain way about expensive designer bags, then don't watch this video. Like do you read a video title before clicking on it? The title makes it clear that the video will be about designer bags. I find these types of videos very helpful and although I can't afford these bags yet, I know one day I will. I wanted to know which designer bag was truly worth my hard-earned money and one that I would get the most out of. That being said, if you're reading this, thank you for sharing this video with us and please make more videos like this. Maybe lyxbag is your next choice?
GREAT video. Your experience with TRR is not an anomaly. It's typical of how they do business (I was a VIP Consigner with them for 8 years). I had virtually the EXACT experiences w/TRR on THREE separate occasions, with a slight twist. I attempted to RE-CONSIGN items I had purchased FROM TRR the previous year - and TRR actually REJECTED the items, claiming that they were Fake...... (I also posted a full 'warning' video about TRR disreputable practices, a few months ago). Most recently - I had purchased a Bottega chain cassette bag from TRR March 2022, then decided to RE-Consign it with them 1 yr later (March 2023). I received notification that the bag "was NOT authentic." I sent them a screenshot from my Account History proving that I had purchased the bag FROM their site the previous year, and demanded a full refund for selling me a fake bag (for $4k, btw). SAME run-around experience as you - it took 2 months, multiple emails before they QUIETLY refunded me without a word. SAME experience with (2) Chanel belts. Purchased from TRR, tried to RE-Consign, TRR rejects them as "fake." Again, I was able to send them proof that they were TRR purchases, and demanded a full refund OR consign the items. NEVER, EVER, EVER again will I Work with TRR in any capacity. Oh - and they LOST an Alaia bag that I sent in for consignment. Still dealing with that. They are a disreputable company. When experiences likes ours are the norm - it's not by mistake. It's purposeful. Thank you for speaking out - it's important. ;-)
Yah they are AWFUL for consigning with. The way they list things as laughable as their pricing. I tried consigning w/ them too and it was such a hassle it was absolutely not worth it and I will never consign with them again.

I kid you not, I had an issue with something that didn't ever ship and I had asked them if they plan to ship it or if the order would cancel and I get a refund. After two weeks asking them, their response was, "you've waited this long for an answer, what's another week?"
I’ve looked at purchasing from the Real Real but when I read all sales were final that was a deal breaker for me. Also, they never had enough photos of the bags to really see up close. I’m so glad you got your refund! Thanks for sharing.
I love the line "I did not remain calm". (clap) (clap) Sometimes we have to let them have it. They were legit pulling fraud. Always get the credit company involved immediately....this kind of thing has happened to me and I always tell the vendor I am contacting the credit card company NOW!...they usually relent and agree to give me a full refund...I still call the credit card company and contest the charges...they take it off the statement and you do not have to pay until the matter is straightened out...
Exactly (now 146k+ people). The damage TRR did to their goodwill... for what, the transaction fees of a single item? And the resourcing costs of their month of slow and terrible customer service was probably more than the profit on that purse as well. I can understand not taking returns just because someone changed their mind on a final sale (too many people would buy something for an occasion and then return it), but this was a case of a reputable third-party authenticator saying it was a fake. If the customer has that information, hands down simply for reputational reasons TRR should take something back: no-hassle, speedy full refund even on a final sale item.

They are going under - I have ZEROnindea who they have authenticating or even just identifying the items. The whole thing started out as a place for people who loved fashion and had items they no longer used - it’s a JOKE and a clearing house for crap shipped from China now
Your story rings true for me. A couple of years I purchased a pre-loved David Yurman bracelet on eBay. Once I received, I took to my trusted jeweler and...shocking...a fake bracelet. Took me a month or so to sort things out, but eBay contacted the seller and he refunded me 100% of my money and was then taken down by eBay. Definitely shying away from these sites. Thx for sharing.
Lots of fake Tiffany jewelry too. Tiffany & Co sued Ebay about counterfeit goods being sold as authentic Tiffany. Unfortunately they didn’t win the lawsuit. Buyers beware!
This happened to me a few weeks ago! The RealReal sent me a fake Tory Burch. The boutique confirmed it, but TRR refused to admit they sold a counterfeit. Eventually I did get my money back, but it was a hassle.
You did very well in having the bag authenticated and thank god for all the pictures and videos you had, and that is actually a very valuable tip I’ll take for future pre loved purchases! Record everything!

Great that you brought this up. This is really important, especially when a lot of money is involved. It's just a nightmare when you have to fight a big company, which should respect itself and provide service to its customers at the highest level
I can relate I had a similar experience however not with Real Real. Several years ago I purchased a LV purse that had been cleaned inside with a strong chemical and not disclosed in the listing. Apparently, a huge ink stain inside the bag bled through and ruined the leather, the smell from this cleaning chemical that was used to get ink out was strong and sickening. I immediately requested a refund and was told to return it to the address listed by the sender and a refund would be issued. The purse was returned to me a month later I never received the refund because the sender had a fake return address listed on the box. I was stuck with this horrible smelling ink ruined bag and this deceptive individual that sold it to me took his listing down. Smells can’t be proven in pictures, he denied cleaning it and called me a liar. I got stuck with this purse and was denied a refund …I’m still upset.
Than you sooo much for exposing this company! I too had a very bad experience with Real Real too! I had sent them a few items to sell which they did! Then I sent them a new Burberry purple plaid shirt! It was set up on their website for a while and I would check them out periodically! One day I saw that the shirt had been taken off the site and upon inquiry they said they would look into it! Since I had the item number and a screenshot of the shirt I kept asking them: what happened to my shirt! Eventually they stopped answering my emails! I had nowhere to turn to and complain! So that was the end of my $340 Burberry shirt! Yes, I will never do business with them either! Unfortunately I don’t have a public platform to inform people about them!😮😖😖😖

I’m currently dealing with this. After a week of back and fourth they finally agreed it was in fact a fake. Fingers crossed the ending of this fiasco is almost over.
I’ve never liked the real real since my experience with them in 2018. I visited the store in LA with my mom. They ignored us for over 30 minutes and there were like 2 people in the store. They pretended to be too busy to assist us so we took our business to Rodeo Drive and spent our time and money there.

Wow, your experience was EVERYTHING the RR claims to protect you against. I was just considering something they have and now I absolutely will not have ANYTHING to do with them. I am sorry you had to go through this, and very thankful for you posting your experience. I actually know someone who purchased a Chanel item from them and I thought it was a fake, but she was happy and too late to return, so I kept my mouth shut, thinking that I had to be wrong. Now I wonder and will choose not to purchase from them.
I totally understand your feeling worrying if your friend may have gotten a fake Chanel bag. This may not help-but I was at the Tyson’s Corner (near D.C) a few months ago and while they had so many bags for over $12,000, I didn’t see the quality I was used to seeing 10 years ago. So hopefully your friend’s bag is real.

Thank you so much for sharing this story😞……I am a decorator -designer and I have many clients with lux bag stories…..sofar their experience with the RR is ok, but….my clients only purchase vintage-esp. LV under $400 and they know their vintage bags…however all agree with you, their packaging is very poor for a luxury’ reseller. A few RUclipsrs [Caleb Snell actually purchased a Hermes Kelly bag from them]…they seem to have soooooo much inventory always?!….A client of mine is a professor and she said,….it’s really scary how the real items are looking fake and the fakes are now looking real, and listen to this, she purchased a bag from a retail store and it was fake! …someone either returned a fake or what but she is thankful she bought her bags in the 1990’s2000’s and said she’s done now….wow……Thanks again 🙏🏼
Wow! There’s so many scary stories out there. It is hard. I’ve heard of that at the store before too that would be the worst to buy a returned fake🫣 I’d be sick 😢
TRR has more inventory than they can sell which is the kiss of death in retail and the reason why their return policies have gotten so BAD. This was also probably a “plan” from their Executives as part of their restructuring because their financially in the hole. But turning into all out crooks, theft, etc.,. We wouldn’t take this kind of behavior from normal retailers in brick and mortar stores. I think there needs to be a class action lawsuit against these companies and their practices because their not the only ones.
You know I’ve been hesitant to buy from a department store because I know people return fakes! I guess I’ll just stick to overseas lol! If the fakes look that real, why not, right? 😂 I’m glad the purchases I bought from RR were genuine but that’s it for me now. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for posting this. I have never purchased from the Real Real but thought they were reputable. I guess not. A reputable company would not have treated you the way they did. I'm sorry this happened to you. FYI, next time contact your credit card company right away and tell them there is a dispute with a product. They will not pay them until it is resolved. They will also handle the dispute if you wish. Years ago I bought a diamond ring and immediately had it appraised. It was not appraised to be the quality the seller claimed. We contacted our credit card company and they went to bat for us and we got a refund. The Real Real should have immediately refunded you if you were not happy.

I can’t explain how glad I am it worked out. I’m not sure what changed on their end to get things going, but it was stressful and very time consuming. I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience that.🌻 I only purchase from Fashionphile when I do, only one I still trust.
As a seller of high-end items I have always feared that one of my buyers would make a claim that they did not get what I sent... There are a lot of scammers out there, so I think that is why you had that experience. I am sure this was a good experience for you to learn what can happen. I learned never to buy expensive designer handbags myself. I have a lot of high-quality Italian leather handbags at reasonable prices made by Brahmin... they are really beautiful and great buys.
I think the biggest issue is the no return. If they just tag things and let people look at them, have them authenticated, and make sure everything is correct that would go a long way. That’s how others do it and it just makes them appear confident in their product.
I had a dispute with Amazon, which is absolutely crazy. And two months ,a huge duplicate shipment and 500. dollars later, they win , its a long story,but dealing with issues like these where WE ARE IN THE RIGHT, and almost helpless ,it REALLY SUCKS! Thank you for sharing your story❤

I am SOOOOOO glad your video showed up on my suggested video feed today because I have been looking to buy a pre-loved real purse from that site for a few years now but something has consistently held me back. I never could figure out exactly what it was other than my fear of what happened to you happening to me and I am NOT someone who would have thought to have it independently authenticated elsewhere. Many many many years ago I heard that the “Real Real” sells fake items, heard it and saw it in videos filmed by Resellers who bought “mystery boxes” from that company and because they are RUclipsrs they made “unboxing videos”. I am glad I watched their videos long time ago and I learned not to buy anything from The Real Real. Thanks for your video.
I’m shocked, I’ve been shopping with them for over 5 years. I did receive a fake Gucci. Notified them right away. Returned and got my refund, no problems. I have purchased probably 20 plus items from them. Sorry to hear you had that experience.
The Real Real customer service is terrible. I will never deal with them again. I’m so sorry you went through this. I love the savings you get with pre-owned but with China getting really good at knock offs it just isn’t worth it

I have sort of the same issue with a face fitness program, they would advertise all sort of techniques to improve your face, then when I signed up she said you can cancel anytime.. but NEVER SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MEMBERSHIP COST IS NON REFUNDABLE. I signed up for annual membership which cost $399.. then I found out 2 months later when I tried to cancel.. her staff sent me a screen shot that hidden on her website… stating membership cost is NON REFUNDABLE.. So I appreciated you for doing this..

I do understand it’s a tough business and takes are likely to get through, that’s why I thought they’d do the right thing when presented with the info…but no, took a month of fighting with them and maybe ultimately the credit card company had more of an effect than I did 🤔 I used LegitGrails for authentication.
I knew as soon as she said they said to return the bag that they would say she sent them a fake in return. I would have stop my payment immediately. It’s so infuriating that companies get away with this with no consequences.
That is why I refused to purchase pre owned designer bags my intuition has always told me that not everything sold is authentic. I am glad you got your money back.
Wow! They actually used packing paper with your shipment. I'm shocked. I have bought many luxury bags from TRR and they never include any packing materials beyond their dust bag. I started paying for the $5 gift box to give the purse it's best chance of traveling safely.

Omg... what a story!! I've purchased 3 items (Chanel's) from them. I figure I'm pretty good with authenticating myself, but I will have to double check now. I've returned one item that was not the size it was advertised on the listing, so they had to take it back. Sorry to hear that. Time is money, and energy is priceless. I hate getting the run around. I had a similar situation with a return to Fashionphile last year. Dropped off the package to UPS and it never arrived back. Didn't see my credit was missing funds until over a month later. The tracking on the package still showed in progress. It was obviously stolen by an employee. Luckily I saved my drop off receipt (indicating the weight) and took picks of the box at dropoff in the actual ups store. Pics and videos are essential, even with brand new items from the store. I've had to return so many due to bad quality, defects, or missing pieces, etc. 🙁
It’s just so sad because there’s colors and designs from previous seasons no longer available that you can find pre loved…. They really just need to have better systems in place.
I purchased a preloved Gucci from TRR, had it a couple of years and decided to consign it since I rarely chose to use it. My TRR was refused on the grounds that it wasn’t real. That was an eye opener for me.
Oh THE REAL REAL is now the TEMU of PRELOVED LUXURY. They sold me a skirt that had been altered and it wasn’t in the description. Also, their return policies changed to TRASH 🗑 trying to stick consumers with products. Disgusting on 10 their practices. People need to start suing them. Think about those that don’t have a You Tube channel where your doing unboxings. 👀👀👀🙄🤦♀️💆🏾😳I hope your video goes VIRAL. It would serve them right.
You said your authentication company said they “couldn’t authenticate it.” That doesn’t mean it’s “fake.” It means they cannot authenticate the bag for whatever reason. They might not know enough about the bag to be able to.

Can’t believe they gave you such a hard time with the return, I used to send in things to consign and about 70% of the time I would get a return, then they would have to resell it again. I figured they had a really good return policy that the customers constantly took advantage of.
What a nightmare! I am so glad you videotapped the unboxing and reboxing AND I'm so glad you used an actual credit card to purchase it. I do the same thing with high end purchases because this is my exact fear. The same thing happened to me with Poshmark, but unlike TRR, they believed me and the return process was simple. I will never buy from TRR again for this reason, but also, it's unbelieveable that they would send me a pair of $800 shoes with little stuffing and protection and without the original box. Just thrown in a soft box with some paper and their branded dustbag. They said there were no signs of wear in the listing, but there was damage all over the leather lining. I was pissed. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I completely understand the fear. Good for you for trusting your intuition. It's there for a reason: to protect us from scammers lol
Wow, I’ve sold with them and only purchased one piece of jewelry but now I don’t think I would buy a bag. I appreciate this review. One thing that I cannot tolerate is horrible customer service.
I wouldn’t have even went through all this hassle, I would have went straight to my credit card company or bank and have them handle it. I never go back and forth with companies being sketchy. They work a lot faster and companies don’t like charge backs due to fraud.

This sounds like a terrible experience but you should also never shop with Rebag. Rebag is absolutely THE WORST when it comes to customer service. At least RR were responsive albeit not in the best way that provided a meaningful resolution. Rebag just lied and ignored my calls and emails.
There are a lot if stories like yours, involving RR, I saw videos on YT. The messed up part is that they always try to make you sell the item under your account.
I am glad I watched this. Im honestly not surprised. I’m never going to shop with them. I had a feeling that they can’t really guarantee authenticity. I imagine with the volume of items they get, how can they take the time and guarantee that the person authenticating it knows for sure it’s real. I would only buy from the actual brand.
Sorry you had such a bad time. I have been a TRR customer for a few years & have been pleased with both my purchases (got my Birkin there) and especially selling my things. I always got top dollar when selling & jewelry, scarves & Birkin all perfect.

oh, for sure, they put that shit back up for sale. i watched a YT video of a woman saying she received a fake Tory Burch bag, sent them the evidence, they took it back, and she noticed it back up for sale.

I would have filed a dispute with my credit card company AS SOON as I was told the bag was not authentic. This is a nightmare story!

Always get the credit company involved immediately....this kind of thing has happened to me and I always tell the vendor I am contacting the credit card company NOW!...they usually relent and agree to give me a full refund...I still call the credit card company and contest the charges...they take it off the statement and you do not have to pay until the matter is straightened out...

Exactly (now 146k+ people). The damage TRR did to their goodwill... for what, the transaction fees of a single item? And the resourcing costs of their month of slow and terrible customer service was probably more than the profit on that purse as well.
I can understand not taking returns just because someone changed their mind on a final sale (too many people would buy something for an occasion and then return it), but this was a case of a reputable third-party authenticator saying it was a fake. If the customer has that information, hands down simply for reputational reasons TRR should take something back: no-hassle, speedy full refund even on a final sale item.
I have ONLY ever heard of nightmare stories about the real real! It’s actually shocking that they are, not only still in business but so big. Thank you for sharing!
They are going under - I have ZEROnindea who they have authenticating or even just identifying the items. The whole thing started out as a place for people who loved fashion and had items they no longer used - it’s a JOKE and a clearing house for crap shipped from China now
Your story rings true for me. A couple of years I purchased a pre-loved David Yurman bracelet on eBay. Once I received, I took to my trusted jeweler and...shocking...a fake bracelet. Took me a month or so to sort things out, but eBay contacted the seller and he refunded me 100% of my money and was then taken down by eBay. Definitely shying away from these sites. Thx for sharing.
Lots of fake Tiffany jewelry too. Tiffany & Co sued Ebay about counterfeit goods being sold as authentic Tiffany. Unfortunately they didn’t win the lawsuit. Buyers beware!
Ebay now authenticates. They have had so many problems with fakes so I'm glad to hear that.

The RealReal sent me a fake Tory Burch. The boutique confirmed it, but TRR refused to admit they sold a counterfeit. Eventually I did get my money back, but it was a hassle.

I can relate I had a similar experience however not with Real Real.
Several years ago I purchased a LV purse that had been cleaned inside with a strong chemical and not disclosed in the listing. Apparently, a huge ink stain inside the bag bled through and ruined the leather, the smell from this cleaning chemical that was used to get ink out was strong and sickening. I immediately requested a refund and was told to return it to the address listed by the sender and a refund would be issued. The purse was returned to me a month later I never received the refund because the sender had a fake return address listed on the box. I was stuck with this horrible smelling ink ruined bag and this deceptive individual that sold it to me took his listing down. Smells can’t be proven in pictures, he denied cleaning it and called me a liar. I got stuck with this purse and was denied a refund …I’m still upset.
This has always been my fear dealing w/ the online pre loved luxury stores. Scary. So glad you stood your ground and got your money back.

Then I sent them a new Burberry purple plaid shirt! It was set up on their website for a while and I would check them out periodically! One day I saw that the shirt had been taken off the site and upon inquiry they said they would look into it! Since I had the item number and a screenshot of the shirt I kept asking them: what happened to my shirt! Eventually they stopped answering my emails! I had nowhere to turn to and complain! So that was the end of my $340 Burberry shirt! Yes, I will never do business with them either! Unfortunately I don’t have a public platform to inform people about them!😮😖😖😖

I’m currently dealing with this. After a week of back and fourth they finally agreed it was in fact a fake. Fingers crossed the ending of this fiasco is almost over.
I’ve never liked the real real since my experience with them in 2018. I visited the store in LA with my mom. They ignored us for over 30 minutes and there were like 2 people in the store. They pretended to be too busy to assist us so we took our business to Rodeo Drive and spent our time and money there.

I totally understand your feeling worrying if your friend may have gotten a fake Chanel bag. This may not help-but I was at the Tyson’s Corner (near D.C) a few months ago and while they had so many bags for over $12,000, I didn’t see the quality I was used to seeing 10 years ago. LV under $400 and they know their vintage bags…however all agree with you, their packaging is very poor for a luxury’ reseller. A few RUclipsrs [Caleb Snell actually purchased a Hermes Kelly bag from them]…they seem to have soooooo much inventory always?!….A client of mine is a professor and she said,….it’s really scary how the real items are looking fake and the fakes are now looking real, and listen to this, she purchased a bag from a retail store and it was fake! …someone either returned a fake or what but she is thankful she bought her bags in the 1990’s2000’s and said she’s done now….wow……Thanks again 🙏🏼

TRR has more inventory than they can sell which is the kiss of death in retail and the reason why their return policies have gotten so BAD. This was also probably a “plan” from their Executives as part of their restructuring because their financially in the hole. But turning into all out crooks, theft, etc.,. We wouldn’t take this kind of behavior from normal retailers in brick and mortar stores. I think there needs to be a class action lawsuit against these companies and their practices because their not the only ones.
You know I’ve been hesitant to buy from a department store because I know people return fakes! I guess I’ll just stick to overseas lol! If the fakes look that real, why not, right? 😂

I'm sorry this happened to you. FYI, next time contact your credit card company right away and tell them there is a dispute with a product. They will not pay them until it is resolved. They will also handle the dispute if you wish. Years ago I bought a diamond ring and immediately had it appraised. It was not appraised to be the quality the seller claimed. We contacted our credit card company and they went to bat for us and we got a refund. The Real Real should have immediately refunded you if you were not happy.

I can’t explain how glad I am it worked out. I’m not sure what changed on their end to get things going, but it was stressful and very time consuming. I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience that.🌻 I only purchase from Fashionphile when I do, only one I still trust.
As a seller of high-end items I have always feared that one of my buyers would make a claim that they did not get what I sent... There are a lot of scammers out there, so I think that is why you had that experience. I am sure this was a good experience for you to learn what can happen. I learned never to buy expensive designer handbags myself. I have a lot of high-quality Italian leather handbags at reasonable prices made by Brahmin... they are really beautiful and great buys.
I think the biggest issue is the no return. If they just tag things and let people look at them, have them authenticated, and make sure everything is correct that would go a long way. That’s how others do it and it just makes them appear confident in their product.

I never could figure out exactly what it was other than my fear of what happened to you happening to me and I am NOT someone who would have thought to have it independently authenticated elsewhere. Many many many years ago I heard that the “Real Real” sells fake items, heard it and saw it in videos filmed by Resellers who bought “mystery boxes” from that company and because they are RUclipsrs they made “unboxing videos”. I am glad I watched their videos long time ago and I learned not to buy anything from The Real Real. Thanks for your video.
I’m shocked, I’ve been shopping with them for over 5 years. I did receive a fake Gucci. Notified them right away. Returned and got my refund, no problems. I have purchased probably 20 plus items from them. Sorry to hear you had that experience.
The Real Real customer service is terrible. I will never deal with them again. I’m so sorry you went through this. I love the savings you get with pre-owned but with China getting really good at knock offs it just isn’t worth it

I have sort of the same issue with a face fitness program, they would advertise all sort of techniques to improve your face, then when I signed up she said you can cancel anytime.. but NEVER SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MEMBERSHIP COST IS NON REFUNDABLE.
I signed up for annual membership which cost $399.. then I found out 2 months later when I tried to cancel.. her staff sent me a screen shot that hidden on her website… stating membership cost is NON REFUNDABLE..

I do understand it’s a tough business and takes are likely to get through, that’s why I thought they’d do the right thing when presented with the info…but no, took a month of fighting with them and maybe ultimately the credit card company had more of an effect than I did 🤔 I used LegitGrails for authentication.
I knew as soon as she said they said to return the bag that they would say she sent them a fake in return. I would have stop my payment immediately. It’s so infuriating that companies get away with this with no consequences.
That is why I refused to purchase pre owned designer bags my intuition has always told me that not everything sold is authentic. I am glad you got your money back.
Wow! They actually used packing paper with your shipment. I'm shocked. I have bought many luxury bags from TRR and they never include any packing materials beyond their dust bag. I started paying for the $5 gift box to give the purse it's best chance of traveling safely.

Omg... what a story!! I've purchased 3 items (Chanel's) from them. I figure I'm pretty good with authenticating myself, but I will have to double check now. I've returned one item that was not the size it was advertised on the listing, so they had to take it back. Sorry to hear that. Time is money, and energy is priceless. I hate getting the run around. I had a similar situation with a return to Fashionphile last year. Dropped off the package to UPS and it never arrived back. Didn't see my credit was missing funds until over a month later. The tracking on the package still showed in progress. It was obviously stolen by an employee. Luckily I saved my drop off receipt (indicating the weight) and took picks of the box at dropoff in the actual ups store. Pics and videos are essential, even with brand new items from the store. I've had to return so many due to bad quality, defects, or missing pieces, etc. 🙁

Also, their return policies changed to TRASH 🗑 trying to stick consumers with products. Disgusting on 10 their practices. People need to start suing them. You said your authentication company said they “couldn’t authenticate it.” That doesn’t mean it’s “fake.” It means they cannot authenticate the bag for whatever reason. They might not know enough about the bag to be able to.
That’s true 🤔 but they didn’t say they didn’t know enough to not authenticate it? I don’t know, it’s a lot to gamble $2k on either way.
Regardless of why it couldn't be authenticated, no one wants to spend $2000 on a bag that can't be authenticated.
Fashionphile and yoogies closet are the only ones I deal with.

Can’t believe they gave you such a hard time with the return, I used to send in things to consign and about 70% of the time I would get a return, then they would have to resell it again. I figured they had a really good return policy that the customers constantly took advantage of.

What a nightmare! I am so glad you videotapped the unboxing and reboxing AND I'm so glad you used an actual credit card to purchase it. I do the same thing with high end purchases because this is my exact fear. The same thing happened to me with Poshmark, but unlike TRR, they believed me and the return process was simple. I will never buy from TRR again for this reason, but also, it's unbelieveable that they would send me a pair of $800 shoes with little stuffing and protection and without the original box. Just thrown in a soft box with some paper and their branded dustbag. They said there were no signs of wear in the listing, but there was damage all over the leather lining. I was pissed. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I completely understand the fear. Good for you for trusting your intuition. It's there for a reason: to protect us from scammers lol

I wouldn’t have even went through all this hassle, I would have went straight to my credit card company or bank and have them handle it. I never go back and forth with companies being sketchy. They work a lot faster and companies don’t like charge backs due to fraud.

This sounds like a terrible experience but you should also never shop with Rebag. Rebag is absolutely THE WORST when it comes to customer service. At least RR were responsive albeit not in the best way that provided a meaningful resolution. Rebag just lied and ignored my calls and emails.

I imagine with the volume of items they get, how can they take the time and guarantee that the person authenticating it knows for sure it’s real. I would only buy from the actual brand.
