The design process, and the physics critical thinking Arthur undertook to acheive his vision under the Bell Lab's support is tremendous and the fantastic opportunities for its application beyond biology, namely astro physics is in it's genesis. Quantum Physics interplay with Gravity and biology is what Arthur has given the World. Thankyou Dr Ashkin !

Simple but beautiful physics at work. Thanks to Author's persistence and curiosity, which took the science of optics and their applications this far, into a resolution of a fraction of a nanometer. Serious science often comes from child's play like what Arthur did.

This is an amazing discovery, and I honestly don't understand why the presentation room isn't filled with people to the same extent as Rammstein's concerts.

Es increíble lo que ha logrado, imaginen que en un futuro no muy lejano se lleguen a levitar objetos de gran tamaño, como en las películas. :v
Que buen trabajo, mis respetos y admiración A. Ashkin

Before, this meant something. Now the prize if political biased. Just end this filth now.

probably the Peace Prize but the Science prizes are not biased. They are though quite unfair sometimes as they are not given everyone related and has a 3 person cap.

@@sayanmondal4570 Yeah, I agree with Sayan, not everyone is going to agree with the chosen laureates every year - but politics is kept at a minimum when it comes to the Nobel Prize of the sciences.

The "filth" is that the amazing implications found in ANY candidate's work falls on so many deaf ears (vast majority of our population). Though rewards don't mean a thing to any of them (as in their minds, their contributions will NEVER be "perfect" enough)... perhaps if they added a red carpet, flashy outfits, and Maroon 5 at the ceremonies... people might actually watch, and aspire to such goals? A cool video of Arthur's lasers manipulating racing cars, or "bad guys" from a fight might help gain the interest of "the masses"? I'm just grateful these people have bucked the "filth" of such society, and somehow managed to achieve what ALL of them have.
