The AI hasn't changed since the original GR but the look of it. Make a noise and they go "huh", walk to where the noise came from and stare at that spot.
Ghost Recon is now Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid, compared to what it was when I first played it.

other problem is.. after a while playing you already know the spawn points and enemy routes of most places. It takes away a huge part of fun

Why would they make a realistic military game then put in a character holding a minigun like the Terminator? Not every game needs a minigun they've been done to death and everyone knows they don't work without electricity and the recoil would put you on your back. They need to get rid of the minigun unless it's attached to a helicopter were it makes sense.
