Same rules are applied in court, what is happening in this situation shouldn't be happening in the first place because her father is not allowed to treat her at all
Two things learned 1. Dr Charles is always right 2. The human brain and the things that can go wrong with it are truly fascinating, I didn't know any of that stuff existed before I watched this
I know someone who was sick with a tumor in the brain. Because of its location it was inoperable I believe, and it made her act violent and did not know any of her family, her husband or children. It took her life. 💔
FACT! This man has one of the biggest hearts ever! Reese was right. Everyone goes to him with their pain but hardly anyone asks him how he's doing. I recognize a lot of myself in dr. Charles in that regard. I'm a clinical psychologist
Oh my God yes. I love that they were crying together. It makes the healing process start. And her gripping his hand and his relief and holding and kissing her hand was such an emotionally charged moment.
3:25 - I love how, when Connor starts to open up, Dan Charles visibly switches modes from worried dad to Connor's psychiatrist. He knows that he's about to get an important insight into his daughter's boyfriend's mental state and years of training and experience immediately kick in.
I feel bad for Dr. Reese she's a good person she always there to help others but they can't stand for her when she needed the most. She got suspended for spraying a raging patient who's trying to touch her, she got warned by a higher counselor in the hospital because she did a surgery without her senior and also Dr. Charles didn't understand why Reese choose to plead against the shooter, then she can't take any credit by taking another approached to see why robyn has psychosis. Reese is like a shadow for everyone but i really appreciate everything she did to Dr. Charles and for the patients and other doctors.
The fact that i can understand every episode you mentioned, solely on the basis of the videos available on RUclips, without watching a single episode. Sounds amazing 😅😅😅
The idea of testing Robyn for the particular rare disorder that was ailing her was from Dr. Charles. As such, the credit solely belongs to him. Dr. Reese simply informed him of the test results.
The 'well done' towards Reese didn't feel very legit to me - there were moments where they were SO close in a father-daughter manner, but then others it was just like they didn't even respect one-another
@@spudd5832 You mean aside from the fact that he ignored the counsel of a licensed psychiatrist because he felt that his personal connection to the patient made him understand her better than her own father did?
It was minimally invasive so they can get away with shaving a small section under the top layer of hair which can be hidden. A good mental attitude can help during recovery. If patients feel people are staring at a scar or bald patch it can hinder recovery.
We also don't know how long she's been awake for; she knew she had a tumor so this obviously isn't the moment she woke up - could've been minutes or hours after
one motto I live by is "A Hero is someone who does their Duty and expects to be rewarded. A True Hero is someone who does their Duty and expects no reward" If I do my Duty and am rewarded, I will accept, if only to not hurt your feelings but ultimately, the only reward I want is for the person I sacrifice myself for to make something of their life and to know that I could have looked out for myself. Instead, I looked out for them.
If there ever was an actual case like this i couldnt imagine the emotional torment being committed could inflict on someone even if for their own benefit until they found the physical cause of the symptoms. Medicine needs to encompass mental health into its framework because physical and mental health is so intertwined with one another it is hard to tell the origins of complex or unusual diagnosis.
Wow, i miss my dad...too bad he passed away 15yrs ago... I envy them at the last scene... conveying emotions without words is just hard in real life...

Good call. Doctors should never treat or help treat those that are close to them.

A father should never treat his own daughter, them being their parent will cloud their judgement. Same goes for doctors and lawyers
