    I use only 256gb Sandisk Extreme for this camera as it consumes space at double the rate of the Hero 7. If you are like me, I try to never turn the camera off when I’m out as you can guarantee that’s when something will happen and you’ll miss it. Great video mate. I explore the same roads, lanes and small villages on my lonesome on my bike. Mark also fits my tyres for me (has done for 16 years). I live near Sleaford so I go in all directions from there without a satnav jujst getting lost. Stop somewhere nice to eat my sandwiches and a mug of tea. Love doing stuff like that. As a retired chap I love just getting up in a morning, seeing it's a nice day and pack my lunch, make a flask and off I go exploring. I am planning riding the Kielder Forest trails in April or May too. Love watching your vids around Lincolnshire and Grantham, Melton etc. I also did a solo ride to the Picos last June after watching one of your vids. I did that Sotres Trail too. Loved it.👍

    Keep blathering as you say Jack and I for one will still keep watching and as far as tyres go they are like clothes some you get on with and suite your needs and some don't. Sorry to hear the problems are still there in my case after 23yrs of a mostly incredible carreer I walked away and as you say reset then after an out of the blue illness which started my second life as I call it I retired at 60. Iam not wealthy, but extremley happy. Just food for thought Jack food for thought you only live once or in my case second time around thanks to my wife. Keep banging those Vlogs out Adios.😊😊

    Watching a bit of the back catalogue. I am really enjoying your style and content. ABR is just too big for me, 12,000 this year apparently... no thanks. As I said on that video D&G is a gem, like most I have been driving past it for over 60 years (I wasn't actually driving back then, but you know what I mean), I need to spend at least a week there. Tyres, I have a VStrom 650 and have been using Avon Spirit ST's for the past couple of years. I just had my first set replaced with the same again, the old one's were completely knackered because I kept them on for two rides too many... mind, one of those rides was 2000 miles! Still, they lasted over 12,000 solo touring / day ride miles, I can only hope I get the same from the new set.

From there if you hit the A712 you can do the second forest trail called the ‘Raiders road forest drive’ it really is great riding up and around Galloway. I had a set of adventures put on my AT at 4500 miles. I’m now on just under 15000 miles. The front still looks brand new and the rear still has enough tread to be legal, even though most of my commute is motorway. They are great tyres and perform in all conditions even through winter. The rear will need about 2000 miles on it to let it quieten down. But after that they produce no noise. All chunky tyres are going to be noisy.
    Sorry to hear about your on going work issue. I am in a similar position with my mental health because of work and the thought of going to these sort of events concerns me too. You should do what makes you happy. I’m honestly impressed with your channel, I’ve been wanting to start my own for a while now but I’m finding my issues are getting in the way. So well done.
    PS. There was nothing wrong with that audio. 😊

    Sorry I’m typing this while watching. 😂

      Thanks Martyn. The work thing is very invasive and my mood can go from zero to 100 in a matter of minutes. I don’t want to take the risk of being at zero at the ABR and I think there’s probably a good chance of that seeing people enjoying life without the issues I’m carrying around.
      If you’re thinking of starting a channel, just go for it. It can be a great distraction from your work problems. I’m always here if you need advice 👍

There’s a route called the south west 300 with a website giving a route around the county accommodation etc. There’s a route in one of the Biking Britain books that’s across in the west and is a nice road. The best site is probably motorcycle Scotland they’re a group based in Moffat and have a whole list of free download routes for your sat nav there is accompanying descriptions of the routes and what to expect to see. Michelins Anakee tyres worked well on my BMW but the tyre noise was toooo much, I had to wear earplugs it was horrid. Now on the Road Trail 6 tyres, lasting well over 7k miles and work well on tarmac. I never go off road… and still the GS wins as a road bike, the RS is not for me; more sporty but the suspension etc and comfort with the GS wins. Yup quick shifter could be better at steady speeds, but it’s OK as you say. Sorry about the issues at work and the ABR, probably for the best; much better to head to Scotland. If you are passing through Yorkshire then why not join us for part of the day during the Fen Tour weekend and continue to Scotland from there. (We will be heading to the Scottish border) I don’t do the Patreon stuff as I would feel obliged to put out regular vids and that is never gong to happen with me as I have too much work on at times to make vids. BTW David and I are off to the Northumberland 250 very soon, thanks for introducing us to the route. 👍👍 safe riding.

    • @motomogul
      @motomogul  Год назад +1

      I’ve not really noticed much tyre noise, just a hum between 60-65 mph. I wear earplugs all the time anyway because the exhaust is too loud otherwise. Tyre fitter did say that Michelin changed the compound a while back because of the noise issue so hopefully they will be ok. We’ll see. Hope you have a grand time on the NLand 250, it’s a great ride 👍
