For fuck's sake... it's "Anais Nin" you twit.
JohnnyNosebleed Came here to write that. Description says Anals Nin aswell 😂
@@GenteelCretin to be fair the geezer took the time to do the time stamps for u, don't be mean x
I like this more than the other two orchid releases. The vocals aren't so high in the mix, the riffs are still chaotic and intricate, but you can actually hear them, and the vocalist doesn't try to cram a novel into every single song and lets the other instruments breath a bit more.
yeah i agree but for some reason i liked the yellow album more than this one for like a year
I actually never thought about that about Jay's vocal performance but that's real
I love this album
i see that

Cheers from Southern California... The Phrase ScreamO.. was never use to place bands like this in a Genre etc.. it was used to call attention to the dime a dozen fake, copy cat Taken Back "Thursday" wannabe..
It was just More awesome music from the evolution HardCore scene.. Code Orange, NAILS, BOTCH, Das Oath, BLEEDING KANSAS, ... These new labels, I've got no idea how/Why they were ever applied to Such Progressive Music..
We have CONVERGE, Integrity, Coalesce, Breather Resist, Locust etc..
I thank this album for inadvertedly getting me into Angela Davis' work
Or maybe very advertedly. In any case based
Imagine being a White scene kid who looks up to a black nationalist/ black supremacist communist who hates all White people.
@@metaphonyenjoyer4386Or maybe the very opposite of based. Do you think Angela would not hate you friend? If so, I've got some bad news
@@stephenwebb24 For what? What are you talking about
@@stephenwebb24i dont give a shit about angela davis. Just enjoy the music
You can really hear where Will would eventually go with Ampere on this record.
7. We Love Prison 7:11 is the crown jewel on this album, IMO. Man, they were fun live.
*None More Black
They still play? I saw them 8n someones basement in NJ like 10+ yrs ago
You know where you are with this, u simply cannot go wrong with this album, so so so so underated, even back in the day
Own this on vinyl.. first pressing. One of my very prized possessions
Jake Schultz is it a gatefold vinyl?
Patrick Burns yessir
"First pressing?" i thought ebullition didnt do that type of thing... I dont remeber any special versions of this at release.
I believe it was a one pressing. Maybe not. There CDs are all super cool. Paper and mini gatefold secret stuff hidden behind the plastic that hold the CD itself. All Red Plastic the entire cover and all. With what feels like logo was burned in.. then inked. Awesome. I know they Hated Band Merch.. like Fugazi, due to all the fashion shows at shows. Latest and greatest new merch. But man it would have good to buy something from them. Beside albums. Peace Humans
feral blanket the glow in the dark split I picked up at a abc no rio show is one of my prized gems by them..the jeromes dream skill 10 inch
0:44 is so perfect I just have to keep scrolling back to it.
What song is that??
I love all record but this sounds more complex mature sound and arrangement. I mean all there stuff is good but this is my favorite. Awesome band solid :)
Im gonna comment again for hell of it this album is amazing, better than loads more respected bands. I'm not sure what better production would do to it though
Yeah, I think it's misguided to think every -core album ever made should have been produced by kurt. Not every album needs to sound like a chainsaw, and having rawer production was definitely part of the style
no soy tan fan de la cumbia electrónica pero esto esta re piola
tremendo
😅😂🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 dijo cumbia
This Orchid release in particular has become the most influential
OMG!!!!This is insane!!!The hard core a always wanted to hear!!!
This record is amazing. But it kills me that Kurt Ballou didn't produce it. It would have been PERFECT.
+Lightning The band lol
Disagree
Sometimes I wonder how a hifi Orchid would have sounded
we should make them rerecord and throw money upon moneys at them
@@musicdudem6673 Fuck money, we in this bitch for the art shawty
They really should re-record. Imagine what it could do for the genre.
No thanks. Fuck that bullshit. This recording is high quality enough. Screamo and grindcore sound lame when they're over produced.
Like something other than Orchid.
This album (in my opinion) starts strong, dips in quality, and then ends with the greatest song ever recorded.
23:29
Dips in quality, he says.
Dumbest comment here. The latter part of this album starting with Tigers is the bear part of the album. Really the only bad song on this album is Class Pictures. There is no "dip" your taste is just dog shit.
A little sassy, but still classic
Sassic, you might say.

What incredible prophets of post-modernism orchid were...recorded 15 years ago but it has never been more relevant than it is today
Well, post-modernism has been a thing for way over 15 years.

they tease us with their capabilities of being able to make some badass stoner doom and they don't :'(
o well i love them nonetheless
I feel like I've been cheated because I've only now heared this. how did that happen?
Probably because the sound waves didn’t enter your ears until around the time you posted this.

Soo goode
the only question is: WHERE THE FUCK CAN I GET THIS?
got it from interpunk
As well as, where the fuck can I find bands following in their footsteps?
Rivor66 Ampere, Joshua Fit For Battle, United Nations, Jeromes Dream, Saetia are bands like orchid - can't seem to find files nor the cd from jffb and jeromes dream - seeing means more than safety is absolutely gorgeous
Thanks man!

Somehow I like every track recorded by Orchid except this album.

Wow
🐺👍
Great album. I don't like this style of screaming, though.
Yuck
I love their screaming
The weakest Orchid release. It's so unfocused. It's frantic, but also boring at the same time. I still never managed to listen it till the end.
