Lyrically, this and Old Friends feel eerily relevant to my life these last few months... glad I've got Pinegrove to listen to to remind me I'm not on my own.
Part of growing up is seeing people you love die or just drift away, it sucks but that's just life.
The two songs are definitely unrelated 😂

I first heard this song at the beginning of summer... I can relate now.
This is 8 yrs old?! Still here in 2024
This song fucked me up when me and my girlfriend broke up. Especially the line "end of summer and I'm still in love with her" because it was end of summer when I was still thinking about her. But this song also gave me a lot of power and helped me getting over her. Still connect a lot of feelings to it, but now positive ones.
Same here. I ended my relationship with my ex last July, and its a year later and I'm still struggling with it off-and-on.
The line "Was it worse that I wasn't sure" is brutal to me 😅

Can't turn this up loud enough. Relate so hard. I lived in Philadelphia for a few years, really settled and made some great friends. Had a string of life mishaps and I had to move back to my hometown, but everything is different. So I find myself, resolving to make new friends. And it's the end of summer. Totally agree. I know people are really against comparing bands or describing them as mixes, but I can't help but hear Owen, Modern Baseball, Bon Iver, and Porches in these songs. That's a good thing if you ask me.

anyone have the uke chords?
socks on grass I'd say the same ones as on the guitar, check out guitartabs (the chords are mainly A and D it's very easy) for the timing and if you don't like how they sound on uke then you can always transpose the song
