  • Psalm 51 explained. In this video we will walk you through David's prayer for forgiveness after his failure with Bat Sheva. God acknowledged his sins because David was truly humble and recognized his sinful nature before the Lord.
David committed several grievous sins including adultery and murder in the matter with Bat Sheva. Nevertheless he prayed for God's forgiveness and restoration. His prayer of repentance means confessing his sins.

Dear Sir, I was brought up in a Calvinist church. Not once did I hear What you said that the reformed theology teaches about sin. From time marker 32min the statement was made that Calvinists believe that sin is the will of God, I feel that I need to refute that. What we were taught was that we are totally enslaved to sin and that we can do nothing without God. God hates sin, but He took on sin to justify those who look for and believe in Him. This goes further that as a result of sin we have no free will and that God has to effect the change of your heart and salvation. I really appreciate your exposition of the word of God, and pray that you greatly blessed and that God glorifies Himself through your teaching.

Thank you Dr. Baruch for your teaching. Praying for your all who work in your ministry.
I was waiting on the explanation of verse 11. I guess it is saying return the joy that is through the Holy Spirit? God don’t remove his Holy Spirit when we sin. The emptiness/sadness produces in our spirit of emptiness that feels like the Holy Spirit is not in us because sin separate is from God. Hope you can explain verse 11.
Thank you for your service in teaching the word of the Lord.

King David has the Eternal Covenant with G-d. - Ps110:1 - The LORD said unto my Lord...
Which is why he can ask for forgiveness from his lip and heart.

I hope this teacher sees my question here. I’ve been studying the word for quite some time now and I still don’t understand how we live the Christian life without feeling like the scum of the Earth all the Time. How does this Psalm get viewed in the light of the New Testament. I am stuck between feeling like I constantly have to repent because I am aware of my shortcomings all of the time and my sins, and what I think the New Testament says which is that we are Cleansed completely and the Lord tells us not to be sin conscious. I take that to mean just turn to him and ask forgiveness for a sin as soon as I’m aware of it and then let it go but the memories of them continue to haunt me. Can you help?

    • @kymdickman8910
      @kymdickman8910 Месяц назад

      I will try.
In Leviticus 6 and 7, we read of God’s provision for guilt. When the memory of past sins continue to haunt you, that’s guilt.
God provided a way to atone for guilt… ie, cover it.
When The LORD introduces the New Covenant through Jeremiah (31:31-34), He finishes His promise with these wonderful words: “… For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
When Jesus died, God raised Him to new life - no more was He in a body that showed the cruelty, the brutality of human sinfulness perpetrated on Him. He was totally glorified…. the sinfulness remembered no more!
So with us… we die with Him, and are raised with Him to new life! We are washed clean in our baptism, and rise up from the water with our sins remembered no more.
When the thoughts of your guilt ‘haunt’ you, remember His resurrection and your own baptism. Don’t allow the thought to get a hold of your mind. Sing: 🎵 “New life in Christ!
      Abundant and free!
      What joy is mine!
      What grace divine!
      What blessing, boundless and free!
      My past with its sins,
      The cursing and strife
      Forever gone!
      There’s a brand new dawn…
For in Christ I have found
      New Life! 🎶

At 19:45~ Dr Baruch makes a statement that if we donate to one organization but God wanted us to donate to another one, it is against His will. Can anyone please help explain how you would clearly know which organization God wants you to donate to?

This reminds me of Paul’s words, written to the Romans (12:1)
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
