The lyrics were so sad as high school student in Japan. Why is it that we see such a different view from the one where we are fiercely looking at our goal to make our dreams come true, and the one where we walk along believing with it hanging in our hand?
I was also struck by the contrast of conveying the value that “the speed at which one walks through life varies from person to person,” especially with the subject of “trains,” which in Japan is considered a symbol of busyness.
In Japan, unless you have something to do, it is almost impossible to “get off the platform” and “feel the time enveloped by the sound of rain. If you do, it is usually after retirement, when you have time to reflect on yourself. But by that age, most of us have lost the curiosity and greenness of “waiting for a dream,” and I think it's pretty empty.
I don't deny that young people with today's efficiency-oriented values take a train trip alone as a moratorium, but for them, it would be anathema unless it is an anime about such a subject.
It may seem like an impression I'm somewhat buying into because I'm the first vocalist, lyricist, and artist I've met in this song, but I was moved by the gentle tone and voice affirming such a message.
私が日本の高校生として感じたことには、歌詞が切なすぎる。夢を叶えるために目標を見据えて猛るのと、手元にぶら下げて信じながら歩いていくのとで、どうしてこうも見ている景色が違ってるのか。
「人生の歩速は十人十色」という価値観を、とりわけ日本では忙しなさの象徴とされる「電車」という題材で伝えていく対比にも胸を打たれた。
なぜなら、日本では何か用件もない限り「ふとホームに降りて」「雨音が包む時間を感じる」事なんてほぼないよね。あったとしても大方は定年退職して自分を見つめ直す時間ができた老後の話。でもその年になれば多くの場合「ユメを待つ」好奇心や青臭さを喪ってしまっていて、結構虚しいんじゃないかな。
現代の効率主義な価値観をもつ若者がモラトリアムに一人で列車旅をすることを、私は否定しないけど、当人らにとってはそういう題材のアニメでもない限り忌避されるのだろう。
なんか自分がこの曲で初めて会ったボーカル、作詞曲、アーティストだからどこか買い被ってる感想にも見えるかもしれないけど、そんなメッセージ性を優しい曲調と歌声で肯定してくれるところに感動した。

にゃーろんずとは何かを模索してるような歌い方もグッとくるのでにゃーろんず（前身含む）で一番好きな曲です。
