    I've been studying at the Sogang University Korean Language Center for nearly 1 year and I am currently in Level 4. I love the class atmosphere and the teachers really want you to learn! The emphasis on speaking pushes us to engage and talk with our classmates and learn everyday life phrases and conversation that you would not be able to learn otherwise. I am American but have been able to meet so many people from all different countries and we all talk in Korean together! :)

    I studied Korean at Seoul National university and Sogang University.
    SEOUL NATIONAL
    PROS: very diverse, very difficult academic Korean taught which prepares you for going to university in Korea, strong focus on academic writing and presentations

    I go to Yonsei's Language school right now and I have been going there for 5 months. All the information online about their teaching style I read as well before starting there, but I would like to say that now I don't feel like it's true at all. We do a lot of talking too and from what I have heard from my friends at Sogan, Yonsei is more fast paged and more difficult. I would say level 3/4 at Sogan is equivalent to level 2 in Yonsei.

    • @angelahall5419
      @angelahall5419 5 лет назад

      No, you don't have to be a student at a another university. It's not like an exchange program. Anyone can enroll.

    • @PiroMunkie
      @PiroMunkie 5 лет назад +1

      The intensive language programs at these universities are separate from the standard university curriculum. So you're not enrolling at that university as much as you are enrolling in that particular program. So no, you don't need to be attending a university in your home country, and if you are you likely won't find these programs attached to any of the exchange programs.
      However, if you ARE interested in using these programs to fulfill some foreign language credits, you should talk with your study abroad office and academic advisor to see if they can manage it. That's what I did at my university at two different programs. Once in the Korean Language Institute at Yeungnam University in Daegu, and again at Sogang University (which you see in the video). You don't get actual grades like your normally would with classes, but the people who run the program and pass along how much time you were in class with a general report on your performance, and your advisers can likely exchange that into college level language credits.

    Three questions: 1) is he Korean American? Just wondering if that played into his reception there. 2) why do sooo many Koreans have dimples? Is this a beauty standard that people look for? 3) So... are y'all gonna date?? You seemed really into him, he's cute, and he seemed to like you too... 🤞🏿🤞🏿🤞🏿

    Would like to if applying as international student in korea, do you need to have entrance exam? Or like just help from study abroad agencies here? Please guide as I'm planning to have my MBA either in Korea or Australia. But I do prefer Korea as it really prioritizes education but I don't know what should I do.

      I'm 50 Korean age and enrolled at the Yonsei KLI. No one cares about your age. I promise. Your interactions will be with other western students and they will think it's cool that someone older is in the class.

      I was at Sogang in 2017 at the age of 31. There was a woman in my class who was noticeably older. There was a gentleman who was in the very beginner classes who was easily in his 50s or 60s.
      Age won't be a factor in the classroom. There will be people there from all over the world. Age will be the least different thing about you.

    Education in Korea is really cheap! In england it is minimum £10,000 for one year thats just for the course and maybe accommodation. Sometimes accommodation is separate.

    The foreigner it shouldn't be compulsion...in india m happy that people appreciate to speak in their own know language..
