One notices the smokebox of the USATC consolidation with the lifting bracket for shipping purposes. The French 141Rs had them.

At 6:14 carriage door only on catch. As a one-time porter I always watched doors as train pulled out and would give a thump if necessary.

Thanks for your kind comment Peter. I know there are a lot of steam fans who can't get to the these heritage railways. I get to share what I see and keep my brain working on into retirement.

The reason for different valve settings is the British engine is inside admission steam into cylinders while the American engines are outside admission hence going in reverse is different.

@@randal9368 no problem bro! Is the hall class that appeared in Harry Potter still in England ?

    • @randal9368

@@RmsTitanicagaming1912 The Hall class you refer to is 5972 Olton Hall, a preserved Great Western Railway Hall class locomotive. Having been named plated "Hogwarts Castle" for the Harry Potter films, the running joke is about the Hall that thinks it is a Castle.
Her boiler and mainline certificates expired in 2014.
In 2015, the locomotive was put on static display at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter. It will remain there until the Warner Bros' lease on the locomotive from West Coast Railways expires.
It would appear that it cannot be steamed at present, so it is unlikely to be seen in action for some time.
